    Period/Blood stain
    Chris O.

This super 8 was terrible. From the get go the experience was atrocious. The Indian guy at the front desk was rude. We asked to get additional towels and pillows and he said "you should already have them in the room". I let him know we needed pillows and he said "come back at 9am" that when house keeping can help you. The whole time he was on his personal phone having a separate conversation via Bluetooth. His inability to get anything done was as shocking as our room. Save yourself the headache and book elsewhere. We literally walked into our rooms which reeked of smoke and walked out. Btw we had asked for a non smoking room. The sheets had blood/period stains on them. The room was dirty and disgusting. I wouldn't be surprised if they had bed bugs. Paul Patel you're as useful as a knitted condom..

    That must've been a shitty movie...am I right?

ZERO STARS IF I COULD. I'd like to begin this by saying, I'm sure my room has been in either cops or an adult film. When you walk in after touching a door handle that must've been in a horror film, you're greeted by the breath taking view of your room. The bed, oh that sweet comforting stained piece of heaven. Nothing screams welcome home friend then laying on a used mattress and sheets that will give you night terrors as well as mental issues. Bed bugs also greet you as part of your experience. You can always test your luck in a good ole fashion smell n' lick test. You're a winner for even trying. If that's not satisfying enough, now let's venture to the restroom. Now, this porcelain throne isn't just for any soul and person of heart & mind, this palace is a space specifically for people who they can handle spicy food and convinced themselves in their 1999 Honda Civic that no pepper, heat, or dark matter would destroy their insides. So this place has probably seen submissions from the human body that science has yet discovered. I must admit unholy things have taken place here. Moving along to the furniture. When you set a gaze upon the area you are to rest your bones, the seat cushion that someone was kind enough to trace the country of Australia with their mud butt. Yes, sweat ass and hey, they might given you poop mixed in so of course. Finally, parking. Now you can pick from a select spaces where you can be lucky enough to find someone hanging out in their car or even better, someone sleeping in the backseat with their windows down! In all seriousness, please avoid this place at all costs. No amount of money should convince a human being to seek a reservation.

I booked a room here for 2 nights while I went to Denver for a personal matter because of the location & the price was decent. I stayed there for only one night and checked out early the next morning and asked for the $60 deposit fee back that they charge you at check-in. The room is dark/dank, barely any lighting. My tub got clogged when I tried to take a shower, there was a huge stain on my bathroom door with a terrible paint job. I was in a non-smoking room and my bed sheets had multiple cigarette burn holes. Spiderwebs in corners of the room and a couple of moths got into my room somehow and my window was completely shut. Walls were dirty & stained as well as the lamp shades. The room's telephone didn't work. I didn't bother using the fridge or microwave. I stayed on the second floor far away from the front desk and I heard doors slamming all night, I went solo and didn't really feel safe to come out of my room until morning. If I were you don't make the mistake of booking here to save some money and just get a better hotel room somewhere else for a few more dollars.

Hotel smelled terrible because they let pets stay there for only $10 lol. Also smells damp and like cigarettes. Recently updated so bareable but they need to clean up. Tv didn't even work either.

Absolutely disgusting. Black mold everywhere, stains everywhere. Stains on the bed stuff. Nastiest hotel ever.

Worst place I've ever stayed in!!! This mouse jumped on my bed last night after I changed rooms 3 times for other reasons!!

WORST PLACE EVER!!! They have mice! After changing rooms 3 times, I had a mouse jump on my bed last night! I posted a picture of said mouse. It's disgusting and definitely DO NOT recommend this place!! Disgusting!

A German roach on the ceiling of the bath tub

Multiple German roaches in the shower, ask the manager if he can give us a discount and said no cause we got the room for cheap already. Don't think that's a valid excuse for someone paying money to stay on a room. Then he offered me another room, there's no point. If there's GERMAN ROACHES in this room trust me they will be in other rooms as well. (Former pest control)

Don't want to know what that was. Did not walk on the carpet barefoot ONCE.

If you're looking for a cool hotel a short walk from Union Station, The Maven is a great option. We were easily able to walk from the station with our luggage and our room was ready early! The vibe is very cool, eclectic, and modern. From the Airstream-style trailer by the front desk, where they give our churros at happy hour, to the great decor, to the adjoining food hall and cocktail bar- It was just what we were hoping for. A few notes: - If you want housekeeping, you have to ask for it. We didn't know this and were confused why the room wasn't getting refreshed. *Would love to see some small signage about this in the room or mention it at check-in. - Be ready to jot down all the perks when you arrive- from drink tickets for happy hour at the cocktail bar, to % off at the adjoining restaurant and bar, to a free drip coffee at Huck coffee (technically in the food hall? but literally just across the lobby), these are worth taking advantage of! Overall, a great stay and would recommend to others. Shout-out to Kodiak at the front desk who was lovely with all of our questions!

The location really can't be beat. You're right in the heart of LoDo. Coors Field is a few blocks from the hotel and Union Station (which connects directly to Denver Airport) is only about a 5 minute walk away. Tons of restaurants, bars, and things to do are all within walking distance, which makes it extremely convenient. When booking, I asked for a high floor, quiet room so I could work. Upon check-in, they honored that request and also upgraded my room from a Journeyman to an Innovator Suite which I greatly appreciated. That upgrade definitely elevated the stay! The Innovator Suite was fantastic. It had two queen beds, two TVs, a full sofa, wet bar, dining table, flexible workspace, and city views overlooking Denver's LoDo District. The bathroom had a large soaking tub, which I had to take advantage off. There's no balcony and while the wet bar includes a small fridge, it's not really functional for anything beyond drinks as there's no space for leftovers or larger items. You also get a token per night to redeem for a free drink at the bar during happy hour, plus free drip coffee in the mornings. Other perks include free churros during social hour, a courtesy car service within a 2 mile radius, and discounts at various shops. There's also a fitness center, although I didn't use it. There were some things missing though: no pool, no spa, housekeeping is by request only, and no breakfast included. Service throughout was excellent. There's 24 hour front desk service and everyone I interacted with was cheerful, helpful, and kind. Overall, a strong stay with great service, a fantastic room upgrade, and an excellent location, even if a few expected amenities were missing for the price. If I had to come back to Denver and the company was covering the bill, I would stay again. The location really can't be beat. If I were coming for a leisure trip with a similar budget, I'd probably look for a hotel with a pool and spa instead. This hotel is best suited for people who want to experience LoDo nightlife, catch a game, or just be right in the middle of everything downtown. The room I was upgraded to was probably much more expensive than what I actually paid, which definitely improved the experience. I'm not sure I would feel the same way if I had stayed in the original room I booked. 4.5 stars rounded down.

The hotel is within walking distance (about 10-15 minutes) of most downtown attractions, including bars, restaurants, and Coors Field. Anything farther was just a short car ride away. The rooms were spacious and well- designed, contemporary but still comfortable. The bed was very comfortable, and the bathroom was large. The services were available but were not actively proffered. On the other hand, their spa was utterly fantastic! The hotel food was lackluster and focused on steak over anything else. They had other types of food, obviously, but steak was in plentiful abundance over anything. The housekeeping staff was amazing and on top of their game. The room quality was very good and spacious; larger than most hotels' suites. The in-room bar and mini-fridge were not free despite being labeled an "honor bar." I'm not cheap; I have no issue paying. My issue is the deceptive marketing of the so-called honor bar. The room's furniture was not cheap, but it did appear tacky with the illusion of being of quality. On the positive side, the staff were polite and attentive, and the room was cleaned while I was out. The view was also very impressive. Overall, with all things considered, I'd pick a different hotel; there are better hotels in the immediate area with a lower price tag and the spa is not worth it, despite its attentive and fantastic service.
