We asked one of the associates, a young man who was organizing shelves, and he was quick to help us get what we needed from the back room. As it sometimes happens, after our visit, we had to return to exchange one of the items for a different size; again, not a problem. The associates were all very helpful in getting us what we needed. After talking with the Manager of customer service we were given an additional 20% off the purchase of these shirts. I had purchased these off the internet with an initiall 20%, so yes, her total offer was 40% off. My friend kept his shirt, as it was dark colored and his wife thought she might be able to get the grease out. If she could not, it was near the bottom and he could tuck the shirt in. My husband's shirt was lighter color and I did not want to attempt to get a grease spot out of a $100.00 shirt, so it was returned. Sadly, both men loved the beautiful shirts and they fit well. But I could not wrap my head around both shirts being stained in near the same spots. The only thing that comes to mind is that they may have been stained in the packing process. ie, was a machine recently oiled, etc. Not happy with the way the claim was initially handled, why would I want 40% off a Future order, I highly doubt there will be any future orders.

As a local resident, I make a point of shopping in person to support our community and the physical presence of brands I enjoy. However, this policy feels like a penalty for shopping locally for two specific reasons: Inconsistency with Neighbors: On the same day, I visited three other premium retailers within the same mall. All three honored a full refund to my credit card for similar returns. Inconsistency with JamesPerse.com: Your own corporate website offers a 30-day refund policy for online orders. It is discouraging that a "local supporter" who takes the time to visit your storefront is given fewer protections and less flexibility than someone shopping from their couch. For a partnership between a brand and its local community to work, it must be a "two-way street." At a $720 price point, I expect a level of service and flexibility that reflects the premium nature of the brand.
