We just had a high level donor event at a restaurant and I reached out to Fleurs Marin for florals to elevate the space. I was so blown away by how great the service was! I worked with Emily and was so communicative and sent me a picture of a sample arrangement that I approved over email. Because of the LA fires I was not able to fly up on the day of the event and had asked her if she could take a look at the space to make sure it looked nice. Not only did she place her arrangements and take a look around, but she helped the restaurant set up new place cards after my box wasn't delivered. She went above and beyond which brought me to tears. As an event coordinator it's hard to find a florist that charges fairly, communicates well, and produces arrangements that are beautiful. In these difficult times I try to patronize local businesses so I stopped by to purchase a couple of orchids for myself and to have a gift bouquet sent to a sick friend. Over $300 worth of orders. I started to look for orchids when the new manager(?) stepped out of the back to say she was overwhelmed with business in the back and could I come back later to purchase my orchids. We have been customers of Paradise Flowers and have known Patti and her husband (the owners) for years. My mom, who is 95 years old, recently went to Paradise Flowers to buy an orchid for a friend who lost her husband and was treated horribly. She ended up going to Burns Florist in San Rafael and is now taking her business there. When we just went to complain, the new manager, essentially blew us off explaining that she was trying to give her customer space when in actuality, she offered no service and just sat in the back while my mom was trying to purchase something. This is one of the only shops in the area that carry a nice assortment of fresh flowers from which you can create a small bouquet or vase of flowers to your own liking. The shop has all the standard varieties of flowers (which vary a bit depending on the season), as well as wonderful little gems, such as tiny little potted plants about 3 inches high and preserved boxwood topiaries. Whoever answered the phone was very short with me and not only said "Sunflowers are not in season we dont have them untill its sunflower time" but also told me that no one else had them. Paradise flowers went above and beyond today. I called to find out if they could make me a corsage for tomorrow and they politely said that they could not. They then respectfully helped me realize that my request was unrealistic and probably no florist would be able to help me on such short notice during prom season They then offered to have me come into the shop and they would show me how to make my own corsage and give me the supplies to do so. My husband went in and they allowed him to video them making the flower arrangement and gave my husband the supplies. They saved us and were so willing to help. Don't find that often. I was waiting to send flowers to my son until after the birth of their baby yesterday. Unfortunately, the birth got to be late in the day and the call was late.
