We were already in Marin and stopped in to purchase one. What should have been a simple, sweet transaction turned uncomfortable very quickly. After requesting just one rose, my husband was met with visible irritation and dismissive behavior. No customer should be made to feel embarrassed or unwelcome for making a modest purchase. Whether someone is buying a single stem or an elaborate arrangement, professionalism and courtesy should be the baseline. This interaction completely changed how I view this business. What was offered instead was thrown together in front of me--without much thought- an arrangement made from older flowers, and the quality didn't feel acceptable. When I expressed that I'd prefer to pass or have something fresh-made, there wasn't much willingness to adjust, so I left without purchasing. I've also received arrangements from this shop on a few occasions, and unfortunately the flowers haven't held up well--often wilting or developing an odor within a couple of days, which is noticeably shorter than expected. My husband has also ordered from here in the past, but we've decided not to return based on the consistent quality issues. A recent bouquet I received for Mothers Day were quickly wilted and all the peony petals fell 24-36 hours after I received them. The water is changed twice daily and it's slimy- clearly older flowers were used. It's disappointing, especially for a local shop that could be a great neighborhood staple. I'd recommend exploring other nearby options for more reliable quality.
