I'm giving this 2 stars. Ignorance from people on this bus (not companies fault; but they need to enforce rules) and forcing people for tip. Their site says, "tip is not mandatory" - but yet the lady on the bus wants it. Her response is, "will you be giving tip now or later?"n My wife and I thought paying $15 for coupons and such is really cheap for a day trip. It's not. Greyhound is cheaper and offers the same thing. They go around Quincy (a few stops). In my opinion, they need only one stop for Quincy. We went to 3. Waste of time. And was finally on the highway to go to Foxwoods an hour later. The bus doesn't have rules and the people in front of us talks really loud and will use their phones with speakers on as their having a conversation. I know it's not the companies fault for ignorant people; but they need rules. As for not planning and we randomly wanted to go after we woke up, we called and the lady on the phone was really nice and answered our questions professionally. The lady on the bus is really nice too (better if she didn't ask for tip). Upon leaving, she expects $2 a person for tip. First and last time on here. read more

Have to visit multiple times to submit document just because the staff is not familiar with the process. They feel no regret to make us waste hours driving from home to their office. They also blame us for picking up without receipt, which they forgot to mention in phone notification while they insist they did. read more

I would not recommend this agency to buy your plane ticket to China. The agency charge 500 dollar for rebooking during this time of Wuhan coronavirus. Cathay pacific airline already announce that they are offering free rebooking, rerouting to any airports in China. But because our ticket were booked through this 3rd party agency, the agency charges 500 dollar on their own policy. I recommend global travel in wollaston. Our friend was only charge $20 for cancelation of her ticket. read more

HELP!!!! This was a nightmarish experience. We started our tour from Boston to DC. It was a 3 days and 2 nights bus tour. We were forced to sit in the last row of the bus. The bus restroom was right behind me. We had to smell the disgusting restroom smell all the time. The guide was very arrogant and ignored our complaints. He used some air freshener and tried to use tape to seal the door. But it was totally useless. There was no way we could change seats with other customers according to the tour guide Evo. We are still in the bus smelling the same disgusting smell. I called the office but the manager wouldn't talk to me and will not call me back until tomorrow at 9am. We were sick to death. I don't know how we are going to survive tomorrow. Please be aware of the old and dirty bus they use. I will never take this company's tour again and strongly recommend that anyone considering taking the tour carefully reconsider. Should be 0 Star! read more

We went on July Independence Day weekend for the 3 day Washington DC NYC tour. Pros : 1. More attractions included in the itinerary 2. A very Good Bus Driver -SP - he held the bus for senior citizens who couldn't run around on this hectic tour. 3. Clean Rooms in the hotels 4. All Attraction Tickets are prearranged- no waits Cons: 1. Food has to be more cosmopolitan- Cannot have Asian cuisine all the days- The bus should be made to stop at a place where there are other options too and not just a single cuisine. 2. It is a Face Book photo tour. You rush from one location to another click pictures and hop on to the bus - no relaxation. Quality has to be given priority over Quantity. At Empire state building, we were given just an hour to climb up/down, view have breakfast in an hour. Doesn't make sense on a July 4th weekend especially! 3. The tour guide needs to be more knowledgable - looked like the co passengers and i knew a lot more than the guide Benny! 4. Was promised a double bed and were given a single king instead at the Somerset hotel,NJ - Guide wasn't around to help us out and neither could the hotel staff be less rude read more

This is the first Asian travel agency I've ever visited. It will probably be the last. The travel agent was rude and condescending. I would call this typical Asian service. The package she found me was more than what I found online. I only stopped by because I haven't been to Asia in over 20 years and needed some expertise. Guess I didn't find it here. She told me she will help me look for more deals but didn't take my contact info. She probably says that to all potential clients without the intention of following through. Never again. read more

I have taken this tour with Sunshine Travel in the past and really enjoyed it. I also recommended several friends to take this tour based on that past experience. However, this time was a completely disappointing and terrible experience! Our tour guide was unknowledgeable and impatient. He showed absolutely no concern for customers who did not participate in the optional tours or meals. He simply abandoned us and walked away without giving us any advice or suggestions on where to go and what to do! Although everyone paid him the same tip, $10USD per day, for those of us who did not purchase the optional tours/meals he treated us very poorly and gave us false information! One such instance was when he stated that there were no other restaurants to eat at if we did not purchase the optional meal. Clearly this was not true as there is more than one restaurant in the area! How can someone state such an obvious lie?! The pricing of these optional items are hidden and not clearly stated. On top of that, these optional items were to be paid in cash ONLY. For example, a group of 5 people would need to have $1,600+ USD in CASH to pay for these items. This is ridiculous!! Although we were forced to pay for everything in US dollars the guide purchased our tickets using his credit card which was charged in Canadian dollars! One can easily determine how much we were being overcharged based on the exchange rate of the US dollars to Canadian dollars! I will never recommend or take any Sunshine Travel tours again after this terrible experience!! I would give this a "0" !!! read more

Too be honest , I did not like traveling with agents before, because my friends in China told me that you wouldn't have fun to travel with agents. But My boyfriend told me that we can save a lot of energy to go with travel agent. We were new in America. My boyfriend always wanted to go to visit Washington D.C. He said we even don't know where to rent a car and where could we park the car if we were traveling by ourselves. You know that big city always have problem with parking. So we booked the tickets from Sunshine Travel Quincy office, because it has free parking here. I was amazed by the cheap price. Even in China, if you go with a travel agent for 3 days traveling, will cost you around 3000 Chinese yuan, which is about 500 bucks. The tour guide Stephen was very nice. He can speak 3 languages, including Mandarin, Cantonese, and English. Although the weather was not good at that time in Washington D.C, we had a good time, especially my boyfriend. I was wondering he might liked Washington D.C better than me. He knows every history about Washington D.C and Philly. He showed me the pictures in the 20 dollars was which building. It's was a worthy tour with Sunshine Travel. By the way, I always like the buffet in America, that was one of the reason that I like Sunshine Travel. read more

I took a bus trip to Mohegun sun,even though i booked my tickets online before hand i had to sit close to smelly restroom. There were lot of rude chinese old woman who ask you to take the back seat.Girl from the tour operator is not friendly and demands a 2 dollar tip for their suck up services. Took to Foxwoods and arrival time was 1:30 in which we didn't arrive until 2:15 due to making 2 extra pickup spots which wasn't on the pickup schedule, also driver only did 40 miles an hour and when asked said he didn't want to go to fast and lose his license. Speed limit is 65 miles. You get what you paid for!!!! This took away from our time at the casino seeing departure time was 6PM. read more

The stuff I talked on phone both time were rude and impatient. Only one minute or so phone call and I just asked three questions to see if they got my passport back (which they were supposed to notice me, but never so I had to call them to check) and the open hours next day (Sunday). The first time she said her coworker would call me back. I waited for 4 hours. No response. Finally I had to call them again and was told my passport should be back the next day and the other staff shall call me to let me know if I could go pick it up. Same thing happened. No call. I waited till after 4pm the next day and gave them a call again. So the whole experience was awful! They didnt care about their customers at all. Wonder why their business was still running. Just want to warm everyone who read this review. Don't do business with them. Apply visa by yourself or get another travel agent. Sunshine travel was hell travel! read more
