When we entered Merc on Main we were pleased to find several shops inside. The first shop has soaps, bath bombs and all kinds of smell goods. The next was The Haven! The coffee menu is what drew us in further but as we were getting ready to leave the owner mentioned baklava. As we got to talking he presented the best looking baklava I've ever seen. It was not thin or tacky "taffy" feeling when we ate it. It was puffy and flakey and smooth like honey. I was in such a hurry to try it I forgot a picture. During that time, Coffee Dog was reliable, welcoming, and worth recommending. Unfortunately, under new ownership, that is no longer the case. This morning was the final straw. I placed my order and waited over 30 minutes, only to receive absolutely nothing. After my order was taken, I reasonably assumed it was being prepared. Instead, a different employee later came to the window and asked what I had ordered as if no record or communication existed at all. At that point, I asked for a refund. What followed was a frustrating and unnecessary ordeal. The so-called manager came to the window and began explaining how long a sandwich takes to make despite the fact that I did not order a sandwich. The manager clearly did not understand the situation, continued wasting my time, and failed to listen after I had already made it clear that I just wanted a refund since my order was never made. Even processing the refund became a struggle. This is not an isolated incident. On several prior visits, they've been under-supplied, out of basic items, or dealing with non-functioning machines issues that are frankly unacceptable for a business that calls itself a coffee shop. The lack of organization and accountability is astounding. One of our clients regularly purchased gift cards from Coffee Dog for us, but after this experience, I will be telling him not to return. Mr. Hodges, save your money this place is no longer worth it. It's incredibly sad to see how far this business has fallen. I supported Coffee Dog for the longest time, but I am officially done. I will not be returning, and I will not be recommending this place to anyone. Future customers should be aware: this business is not the same under new ownership.

There are a number of couches and easy chairs, along with a few tables for enjoying sandwiches or wraps. The music they played was like 60+ years old but upbeat and enjoyable. It's a great place to hang out, read a book, caffeinate, and have a bite to eat. An ideal spot for a lazy afternoon :-)

Stopping here on my way back from AUS on a Sunday in early September, it was about 830AM, just in time for breakfast. So breakfast tacos were the order with a chorizo & egg plus a sausage & egg. After about 4-5 minutes, my order was finished. Digging in, the flavors are straight up fresh and tasty with the warm tortillas fresh off the grill and the eggs mixed in nicely with the other proteins. The tacos are quite large so two were enough for me. Price-wise, they are very affordable and they take credit cards too.
