I had been here before when it was owned by someone else, and the coffee was alright then, but both Sunday and today's coffees were amazing. I ordered a gingerbread latte on Sunday, and today it was a caramel latte, and both were the right amount of sweet without it overpowering the coffee. Under the previous owners, I couldn't really taste the flavor too well, just sweet coffee. I also bought a blueberry muffin both times, and I highly recommend them. I will definitely be going back!

Even more than that, the staff is amazing. Each person was so kind and personable - made our day and felt like "home" (we are visiting from out of town). They even put up with my twin three-year-olds who were unwinding for lack of a nap today, and they made a bit of a mess on the way out. When we went to tidy things up, instead of eye rolls or frustration (which would be understandable) one of the managers gave us some fresh salsa to take home and try. Talk about understanding and kind - these people care, and it showed in each aspect of our visit today. We will be back for sure (but maybe leave the twins with a sitter next time;-). Going into the seating area, there tables and some little nooks to meet a friend or work from. It's a place you can find the hours pass. The only downside is side is the lack of a sign at the front entrance that the owner is feverishly trying to get approval on. It's a bit disheartening to see a small business owner have to wait to have something approved that would increase their visibility and have their business grow. They have gluten free options as well as vegan options and options for those who can have gluten. I went there for three out of the six days that I was on vacation in that area. I had originally wanted a chocolate chip cookie, but they didn't do just regular gluten free ones. However they did have gluten free peanut butter chocolate chip cookies. I'm not a big fan of peanut butter, but I thought I would try it since I was really craving a cookie. I had just the one, and it was so so so good! It didn't taste overly of peanut butter which was a win for me! It had just the right amount of peanut butter and chocolate chips. It was crispy around the edges and chewy towards the middle. I went back that same day and got two more of those cookies. The other days I went I got the same thing. One day, I did try their gluten free apple butter bar which was just as amazing! Service was fantastic! Each day I went, there was someone I hadn't seen before working. Each of them were super nice and friendly. The bakery itself had a very calm ambiance about it. It had a lot of space inside if you wanted to eat your meal or dessert inside or you could get it to go. I also love how Tough Cookie Bakery supports the LGBTQ+ community.
