I really enjoy going to this Starbucks and they have plenty of parking out front, but the drive-thru line is a mess. It's usually fairly long and you end up out in the road leading up to H-E-B. The line does move fairly quickly and the baristas are always very polite. As many times as I have been there, they have never messed up my order. They are out of the seasonal popular drinks fairly often, but I can always find a reasonable substitute. There are several tables inside if you're going there to take a break so that's usually not a problem. read more

They are always out of passion tea. Today they were out again so we settled for something else. Next they gave us the wrong drink sizes after we clarified twice. On top of that, neither of the lids on our iced drinks were on all the way. Both drinks spilled all over the car before we even left the parking lot due to the lids falling off. I went to this Starbucks to do some work because my favorite coffee joint at Tracy's Drive-In only has outdoor seating. I found that the music was on the loud side and my Iced coffee tasted watery. My drink is always off whenever I ordered from this location. My favorite go to drink is the caramel ribbon crunch frappuccino. The one I got was bland and I cannot taste any coffee plus they forgot to add the caramel crunch on top. As you can see they added a lot of whipped cream on the bottom and it was not even filled to the top. I ordered the exactly drink from a Starbucks in a San Marcos location and it was perfect. As you can see from the side by side pictures, the light color one is from Bastrop location and the dark color one is from San Marcos location. I brought this to the attention to one of the barista and he assured me that was made correctly. I can see the difference and taste the difference. He did offer me a shot of espresso to add to my drink. This is not the only time that this has happened to me. It is sad to say that I think McDonald's caramel frappe taste much better than this. I just won't go to this location anymore because I know my drink is going to be way off. I hope the district manager will do a quality control evaluation on this location. read more

Wow. We tried to stop and get coffee before driving to San Antonio and they told us it was going to be a FORTY FIVE minute wait because of online orders. What???? There was no one in line at the counter in front of us, there were 5 cars sitting in line at the drive thru, were those guys being told to idle in line for 45 mins??? What kind of business model is that?? You make walk in orders and online orders at the same time. You don't ask people getting coffee for the road to wait for 45 (!!!!) mins. Ew. I've been to this location twice and the 2nd time which would be my last was Sunday(06/05/22). It was a mobile order for customized espresso macchiato. I added brown sugar syrup and a coconut milk in the order. I got there to pick up my order and no coconut milk was added. I asked if I could get a little more and this barista, started telling me how to order my coffee..saying that I ordered espresso macchiato and if I want more coconut milk she has to ring my order again and pay more for coconut milk to make it a latte! This is by far not one of my favorite Starbucks locations for comfort, it's small and cramped and when it gets busy, it's an absolute unbearable madhouse but when it comes to customer satisfaction, it's at the top of my list. Seth, Jesse, Alexandra, and other staff have indeed mastered the art of customer satisfaction. It would be fantastic if this Starbucks would move to another location in a stand alone building and not share with a a bank. I've seen many customers walk into the bank embarrassingly in error. Starbucks is usually pretty consistent- great coffee, great customer service etc...sadly that is NOT the case with this establishment. I ordered a carry out box of coffee at the drive-through and they told me that it was about 10 minutes to complete the order but that I could pay through the drive through and then run in to pick it up when it was done. After waiting the allotted time they set- I went in to pick it up, and the box was just sitting being the barista who was taking orders at the register. I waited by the pick up counter watching the barista take orders of 4 customers before turning around to fill up my box. She filled one cup and turned around the helped 2 other customers. Meanwhile no one acknowledged me, or checked in to tell me it would be a few more minutes. At this time I decided I should maybe stand in line to find out what was going on. The barista behind the counter rudely asked me what she could get for me- I let her know I was waiting for the box or coffee and told me that they were busy and that she was working on it- to which I replied I just watched you help 4 people- and I've now been waiting 18 minutes. The barista instead of apologizing said should've called ahead . Needless to say, the customer service is SUBPAR at best. Hope they realize, a little communication can go a long way. read more

I visit this Starbucks often and every time I am greeted with not only a friendly smile but the level of service one would expect with a $5 cup o' Joe. During my latest visit, I'd driven through on the request of my 13yr old for his morning frothy beverage of choice when I realized I'd left my wallet and purse at home. To my amazement and while about 10 other cars were patiently waiting behind me the- resident staff decided to cover my entire $11.34 purchase so that my car of kiddos would not have to go Frappacino-less on this fine school morning. I went inside to order - took me 8 minutes to get waited on as the supervisor stopped the line so the cashier could make coffee and she wasn't nice about it when she asked. As I counted no less than 8 people behind the counter - 5 focused on the drive thru - I wondered why the staff can't be repositioned during times of high volume. As I waited another 10 min to get my order - not once did any of the staff apologize for what was becoming a longer wait. The staff are amazing and hard working - but it is impossible for them to deal with the high demand of orders, especially in rush hours. Build another Starbucks in Bastrop, or turn off mobile order capabilities during rush hour. At the very least this will improve all of our customer experiences, and help the staff to not be so overwhelmed and mess up drinks due to rushing. read more
