Their Pad Thai and Tom Yum soup are really good. If you can't handle spice make sure to ask for mild.

I also love that it appears to be individually owned, and I prefer to support small businesses. The downside for me is the portion size. I feel like their portions are getting smaller. I'm not a "big" eater, and almost always have leftovers from what I order. I've found their orders are a lot smaller than most places. I ordered the red curry today, and it was barely a portion size for an average eater. My protein choice was shrimp, and there were literally 3 small shrimp in the dish. Again, the taste is very good, but if you're an average eater, just know the portion sizes are small, and you may want to order an additional side.

One lady & her son were dining in the restaurant so everything is made fresh to order. 2 stand outs for me were the chicken wings and the sweet mango rice. My curry was a little too liquidy/watery, I wish it had a thicker/creamy texture to enjoy with the white rice I originally had crab fried rice on my list but my husband wanted to try the Tom Yum Fried rice, I think the flavor was overpowered by lemon grass... so maybe next time I'll be able to try the crab. My husband picked the real Thai red pork dish, and we were disappointed with the amount or portion given, it was a lot of rice underneath with little bits of meat. The pad Thai I ordered was chicken with shrimp added on for $3.00 which I got 3 pieces, :( $1.00 per shrimp is crazy but ok, I also asked for extra lime and bean sprouts but got one wedge of lime and little bean sprouts so maybe they forgot to didn't see that. Chicken wings had a good flavor. I would definitely order them again!! Sweet mango rice was delicious!! I would also order this again! Had a Thai brown tea, it was pretty sweet/milky, wish it was more potent in the Thai tea flavor.

There is a very small building with indoor seating, but it only has a restroom and a handful of small tables. I do want to give the benefit of a doubt as I was part of a fairly large group meet up, so some of the delays in service and getting food was probably due to the large number of people for a very small kitchen. I also 100% have to blame the meet up organizers for not letting us know it was outdoors! The place is BYOB although they do have a selection of bottles nonalcoholic drinks. Even though it was outdoor seating at picnic tables, there was one girl taking orders, and another guy delivering food, we did have to wait a bit for our food, but the point of the meet up was chatting and socializing so it wasn't a huge deal. The food arrived hot and was pretty good. My main complaint is that the portion seemed a little small for the price point, I got the Tom Kha soup and $13 for a pint of soup and a scoop of rice seemed high. The flavor of the broth was good but there were definitely more onions than chicken! That being said I liked that the spice level didn't seem to be lowered- I got a 3/5 and it definitely made my nose run a bit XD All in all I think to really get an accurate read I'd have to try again under more normal circumstances.

The Thai tea was a standout--sweet, creamy, and the perfect pairing with the meal. The curries were rich, flavorful, and clearly made with care. The khao soi was especially delicious with bold, comforting flavors and a depth that kept me going back for more. The drunken noodles were also very tasty--great texture, well-seasoned, and satisfying without being overly heavy. Service was great, food came out fresh, and the overall experience made this an easy recommendation. Definitely worth a visit if you're craving flavorful Thai food.

If we're eating, we're eating. Let me tell you something. The balance? On point. Just enough coconut milk to make it silky without drowning the dish. Just enough serrano to whisper heat instead of scream at you. The zucchini, eggplant, and bamboo strips all held their own -- nothing mushy, nothing fighting for attention. Every bite felt intentional and served with white rice. It was pickup, but I stepped inside to grab my order, and that place was spotless. Clean like somebody's mama was doing inspections. And the staff? Friendly, efficient, no nonsense. This wasn't just dinner. It was a "why don't I order this more often?" kind of meal. Yes, I'll absolutely be back. And next time? I might dine in just to soak it up properly.

What was meant to be a quick lunch stop in Bastrop turned into an ordeal my kids had to witness. When the surprise charge appeared, I asked our waitress where the policy was disclosed. She didn't know. Neither did her colleagues. When I asked to see it posted, a staff member threatened to call the police on us for asking. We finally reached the owner by phone, who pointed to fine print on the menu cover that his own staff didn't know existed. If you're dining here with a group, ask about the auto-gratuity before you order -- and decide whether you want to give your business to a place that threatens to call the cops on customers for a reasonable question.

The Best Pad Thai ($18): Thai-style stir-fried rice noodles with egg, dried sweet radish, chili, garlic, crab meat, bean sprouts, and chives, topped with fried tempura shrimp, crispy shallots, tobiko, peanuts, and lime. I love pad thai, and this version delivered! The flavors were quite concentrated, so I recommend mixing the noodles thoroughly before eating. While the shrimp tempura was crunchy with a nice batter, I personally prefer the traditional proteins -- beef, chicken, pork, or tofu. BBQ Brisket Clay Pot ($19.50): A Thai-Chinese style clay pot featuring garlic, ginger, smoky brisket, onion, mushroom, Thai jasmine rice, green onion, sweet soy sauce, and chili garlic sauce. The combination didn't quite work for me and I wasn't a fan of the flavors, though my husband absolutely loved it. It's not as flavorful as the pad thai so we had to use the sauce they provided.

It's perfectly poached, incredibly tender, and paired with fragrant rice that's rich without being greasy. It also comes with a decadent bowl of soup. The combo plate is the way to go if you want to try the poached and fried chicken. You get a variety of textures and flavors, both juicy and crunchy. Both sauces are great to dip in and the chicken goes great with the rice. If you can handle spice, the boat noodles are a great option too. The broth is complex and spicy, with tender noodles and well-seasoned meat. The spiciness is definitely a build up, but the broth is so good you can't stop drinking it. Overall, P Thai's is a great spot for lunch or dinner. Plenty of seating inside with some outside, nice staff that explain everything, and a great spot to share food.
