Food was great and very tasty. Had the Chicken and Donuts on two different occasions. Chicken was juicy.

The decor of the restaurant is cute, offers a place to sit down before a flight. Service was fast but the food was pretty terrible. The ham egg and cheese empanada was hard and tasted like it was sitting there for hours. The breakfast sandwich my husband ordered was pretty flavorless. The pancakes were okay. Sunshine Diner is an incredibly cute, chic, and clean place to grab a bite while you wait around at MCO. Prices are definitely steep for diner meals, but the good service makes up for it. I definitely recommend going in with average diner expectations for food quality, and you won't be disappointed. And as for a budget... I'll say I spent almost $40 on just breakfast and a drink. Overall, I would definitely stop back if I had time to kill and an empty stomach. read more

I have been wanting to try out Sunshine Diner by Chef Art Smith in Terminal C. I am a big fan of Homecoming at Disney Springs. I dined during breakfast and the food did not disappoint. The French Toast was a perfect mix of soft and crispy. The bananas made for the perfect dish. Great value for the Biscuits and Gravy. The bacon came with 2 pieces, and I would have liked it more if it was more crispy. I enjoyed the home style potatoes, but wish it was a little plain in flavor. Overall, great experience and I will return if I have time to kill before a flight. read more

The first thing you notice about this diner is how airy and spacious it feels. Many airport eateries almost feel like an afterthought and have tables or stools crammed so closely together that you feel like the proverbial sardine. The Sunshine Diner's layout and design takes advantage of the height and natural light that can be found in Terminal C at MCO. The menu is not expansive, but it has plenty of staples and enough variety that every hungry traveler should be able to find something which appeals to them. The food tasted fresh and came to my table piping hot. Being able to sit down and enjoy a warm meal before an early flight certainly outweighs the typical "grab n go" or food that's been sitting under a food warmer. The hostess was very welcoming, and the server was extremely friendly. A customer at a different table had a specific request which could not be accommodated, and she handled it very well and the customers stayed and ate. If I have any additional early morning travel out of Terminal C, this will be where I stop for a bite. read more

We grabbed breakfast at this cute retro looking diner with a modern feel. The decor is welcoming within a busy airport. Service was okay. Our server seemed new because he got our rather simple breakfast order incorrect. He was able to substitute my order with fresh fruit which was nice. The other staff were friendly and inviting. Had a great breakfast here on a recent layover. Conveniently located across from our gate. Great way to relax before the two hour flight to beautiful Repulica Dominicana! The various ingredients (bacon, cheese, cherry tomato halves, asparagus, chicken (not dead dry), avocado, thin sliced cucumber, red onion, grilled corn, halved hard-boiled eggs) were separately piled about on a base of spring mix with sufficient balsamic vinaigrette on the side. A nice variety for breakfast and some lunch items as well as apps. I had scrambled eggs with chicken sausage. Eggs were scrambled to light n fluffy with a nice addition of scallion to accessorize Diced potato hash with peppers n onions was a side. Not greasy or over fried. Sausage were spot on. Chicken sausage can get very chewy. Had Briole Toast. Perfect which was suggested by the lovely waitress/bartender Samara. She was funny and polite. Came into Orlando, FL on our way to Costa Rica and we needed a bite to eat. Service was good, there was a slight wait with waiting to be served possibly due to there not being a host. Go elsewhere. Ordered chicken fingers, ate a bite off of the end of one. Went in for another bite, realized they were raw - every single one of them. Not like slightly pink - straight raw. Manager came over and said he took my meal off the bill - our waiter came over and took half off the other two meals in addition to mine being free. Waiter was incredibly nice - manager could use some retraining - he blamed a new chef. If I started working at a restaurant tomorrow, I'd be a "new chef" and I would still know to check the temp of the chicken before sending it out. Wow! I was very surprised and more than impressed with this restaurant. We decided to stop here during our 5 hour wait for our flight after our 7 day cruise. The host didn't seem very impressed or enthused to be there so I have to admit I was a bit worried. The worry went out the door as soon as our waiter greeted our table. He was very personable, knowledgeable about the menu, and offered great recommendations.I ordered the sugar-free French vanilla cold brew and the crispy chicken sandwich (his recommendation). I did customize the sandwich a bit and added a fried egg and bacon (yum). My partner ordered the breakfast sandwich which he enjoyed as well. Overall the service was friendly, fast, and attentive. This was definitely one of my best airport restaurant experiences and would recommend to anyone traveling in MCO to give it a shot. read more

Had an early morning flight to Boston, was sat down right as they opened at 5am. However, the staff would've never had you believe it was so early. They were already wide awake, smiling, acting SO friendly. I'm not a big breakfast food person so I was so excited to hear that they'd serve their full menu even at 5am. The design and ambiance is top notch. I loved the retro styling, furniture, light fixtures, and wall decor. José was the best server I've had in a long time. He recommended the Patty Melt add eggs, bacon, avocado and it didn't disappoint! I'd literally book a flight in this terminal again just to eat here. Great work y'all. read more

An obnoxious delay at terminal C super early in the morning had us looking for breakfast options. The place was not super busy and looked bright and inviting. The hostess was super sweet and kept a constant stream of conversation going as she sat us and wiped down our tables. Our server, David was super nice too. The food was a hit/ miss situation. Ragz had the granola bowl and it was fine - kinda hard to screw that up anyway, but the fruit was sweet and fresh and yogurt tasty. The sunny fries were delicious - crispy on the outside and soft inside, done perfectly. I made the mistake of ordering empanadas at a southern inspired diner and boy these were bad. The dough tasted nothing like really empanada dough and was super dry. It was fried in a way that caused blisters on the skin - complete no no with empanadas. The filling for the spinach was absolutely bland and the chicken was no better - I couldn't finish either of these. My unsweet ice tea was just fine. Will I be back? Sure - if I'm at the terminal again ( I really really hope not, because JetBlue officially sucks), but I'll likely be sticking to southern classics. read more

i've traveled to a lot of airports. this is by far the best "airport" breakfast i have ever had. christopher's service was A+. my bloody mary was fantastic. the eggs cooked perfect. i'm not sure what's going on with those home fries but yum. keep them coming. the bacon nice and crispy. i asked for the toast well done. well it was cooked perfectly. nice from light brown to dark brown. the only thing i could say improve would be some whipped butter for the toast. if i have another early flight i might try to go out of terminal C again. read more

A girl ordered ice tea and water at the bar. After she sat down I overheard Chris the Bartender told the girl to sit at the bar but after a few minute she pulled out her laptop and then I heard Chris telling her that she could not sit at the bar for long. She needs to order food or something else. After Chris walked in the back kitchen I confirmed with the girl what he said. She said yes and wasn't that rude? I agree. There is no reason for him to tell a customer they could not sit at the bar. She is an adult and not a little kid. Plenty of empty seats. Chris needs to go back to his phone and mind his own business. Openly talking about her to other staff wasn't needed. Telling everyone to take their bag off the counter while they are getting out their book or iPad is also not needed. Service was fine for me. read more
