Sunset Overlook is always a perfect visit! The views are great, the staff is friendly, and the drinks are fantastic. While my friends and I have come on various occasions and loved it, we also decided to attend the pop up bar and it was SO fun! I love that they serve their signature sangria in a cup to take home when you first arrive. The holidays drinks were also so delicious and I cannot recommend enough! I can't wait to come back next year!

Stopped in after a MeetUp in Valmeyer with a group of 6. The service was quick and efficient. The cocktails are STILL delicious. And the food is tasty. A pretty good variety of things to choose from. And the prices are moderate.

Very little besides the bluff on one side and soy/corn fields on the other and all of a sudden Sunset Overlook. There are little shacks in the back to sit with friends and enjoy a nosh and beverage, an igloo and a porch which gives a wonderful view of the countryside, especially at sunset. Menu is ample but simple offering wraps, sandwiches, shareables like dips. Got there for lunch and ordered a buffalo chicken sandwich on gf hoagie bun(big surprise on the bun). It was good, maybe could have had a little more chicken. No sides served with your sandwich but could get bag of chips for an extra buck. Nice cocktail menu, beer and wine. Service fine. Go for the view and a nice drink.

Cute patios in front and in back. Some seating indoors. Very friendly service. Menu has quite a few options including gluten friendly hoagie or wrap substitute. I had the buffalo chicken wrap. My dining companions had a flatbread and the cheesy roast beef sandwich. My seasonal caramel apple sangria was very nice. Others sangrias on the table were enjoyed as well. The live music was nice.

This service was awful. We said we didn't like our buffalo dip, so we asked for a flatbread. Apparently that was too much. We were meant with "You will pay for the chicken dip you didn't eat & pay for your replacement." Ignored by manager, server, and disregarded after we said we wouldn't pay for something we didn't eat, cold, & undercooked. Extremely dissapointed after being a loyal customer for years & bringing my family out of town here tonight. Clearly something needs to be worked on if you receive your order poorly & they don't like when you say "No this is bad, can we replace?"

Had a great experience here and can't wait to go back, the staff was friendly and kept checking on us. Went for a couple drinks and stayed for food too! I love the space and sitting outside on a nice night watching the sun set! You'll love it check it out!

Nice space on patio. Prefer mixed drinks/sangria in glass rather than plastic cups but still tasty.

Terrible. No prices on menu! They blame Covid that they can't keep making changes to the prices on the menu!

The newly renovated front bar area is very nice too! The exposed brick and the wood bar keep the vibes cozy and inviting. The back bar area has plenty of room for dining and socializing. Wait staff are friendly and helpful and have gone out of their way to accommodate my kids and their tastes. We have been to several community events here. They offer traditional bar fare and appetizers, but in the past several years, they have expanded the German food menu. You really can't go wrong with any of it! On Wednesdays, Tiny's offers soup flights and all of the choices are excellent.

The food wasn't very good, my friend ordered German potato salad, but got coleslaw, which was turning bad. Potato skins were wedges - not much cheese and very little bacon. We had to ask for every refill of soda/water, even though we tipped well, we waited at least 15 minutes for the bill until the guy behind the bar noticed and came to our assistance. We stayed and talked, but somebody turned the music up so loud we had to go outside to finish our conversation. Neither of us will return.

British Bar INSIDE a "British designed hotel", so I had my hopes probably heightened more that it should have with my previous British bar results. I went in thinking British craziness and got a "Edgar Allen Poe" feel... But I'm going to say this was NOT what I was expecting. First and foremost, your eyes are going to need adjusting. Plain and simple, it felt more like a dark ... room? (Part of the problem I think is that as it was already June, you can forget using the fireplace to lighten the room up) so it felt.. "Small", and I"m going to feel weird saying this... "Romantic Horrorfest". Wait, before you go "wha??", this isnt' necessarily a bad thing. The Taxidermy , the photos on the wall. the fireplace. the VERY (and I mean VERY) dim lighting... The limited seating on the main floor, the one door in and out it had a "wooden cabin feel".. Yes, if you had a wonderful romantic film and it was suddenly invaded by some monster villain... This where it would take place and it would be perfect. (See I can find positive things to say about things i wasn't looking for) As for the service, apparently (going back to the Romantic filmfest), I was struggling to get any attention for the bartendress, cause I guess I was solo'ing by myself, and because of how I wasn't able to get the bartendress attention... I kinda felt like an unwanted customer in a place more for couples or friends getting together which had me leaving shortly thereafter, so no real food score (although I will say, much like Oh London ,the menu wasn't really much to work through...), Anyway, no TV's, no world cup game on the air.. just like I said a vibe of a cabin in a "romantic movie, where the monsters lurk". And Apologies for some of the iffy pictures, it just didn't feel right using a flash on the camera in such a secluded locale) and like I said, it wasnt' what I was expecting (rowdy British fans watching the local club or something), but there's something about it that even i have to admit, would make this location a nice "date night" or "out with friends' location, more so than just a single person looking for a nightcap. (And Maybe there really is a monster hiding in the fireplace, to keep the "Horror" feel going?? :)
