Window sills with bugs on the containers

We arrived to find a limited menu due to some festival (we were the only ones in there short aside from a person at the bar). We were told burgers on the menu were bacon wrapped with lettuce, cheese, onions, tomatoes to then find out it was a pre made burned cold patty where the cheese was not even melted with nothing else. Over $100 for a less than mediocre back yard quick burger and sodas for five. The overall atmosphere was ok but could use some cleaning in the bug filled window sill. All in all very expensive for a less than desirable meal.

A great spot, service was friendly, food was hot and their was great live music. Wasn't too loud so you could carry on a conversation with out shouting. Would definitely stop by if you're in the area and need a bite to eat or a drink! We got the corn nuggets based on other reviews and they were good but we would probably try another appetizer the next time!

Wow! What a hidden gem on the beautiful bluffs of Dupo. Absolutely amazing people working here. Just opened up and the food is already legendary. The double burgers are the size of triples. Tots rock. Fish was fantastic. We did the wings too. Sweet and spicy and they were fantastic.

We didn't try any food, but the fact that they did carry a couple of ciders in an out of the way place like this place.... Highly unusual. And yes, both the barmaid and the other customers were quite friendly. We enjoyed our stop here and made a note that it'd be a great place to ride the motorcycle to.

I highly recommend this place! Our family was here Sunday and the food and atmosphere were both amazing!!! The fried chicken and burgers were fantastic, draft beer was ice cold, and the outdoor patio was so comfortable...and the live music was an unexpected plus!

I've only been there once but the atmosphere and food was great. It's kind of out of the way but worth the drive.

(The nachos were enormous!) We loved the sunset from the patio, and the open air between the outdoor and indoor seating areas.

I am only posting this as a warning for anyone else that wants to book a party with them. I have been a supporter of The Barn since the day they opened. It was my first choice when I wanted a cocktail in town. I booked my 30th birthday party with Steve back in November. I've been chatting with him about my party every time I saw him in between that time. We messaged back and forth about the logistics and how I would get the whole upstairs room. He also didn't ask me to pay a deposit and promised that he would put me down on the calendar. Fast forward to yesterday, I went up there to start decorating at 3 pm. I started walking up the stairs and noticed that someone else's decorations were already set up for a 40th birthday party. I immediately was like, Steve that's not my party. He then says, "Oh, you're downstairs!" I immediately knew that he had no idea what was going on. I was extremely disappointed but I decided to make it work. He said he would shut the bar down at 6 for my party He helped me set up a table for our food and I told him I'd be bringing in a balloon arch with a backdrop around 6. My husband spent the whole day cooking food for our party and I spent the day making sure everything would be perfect. When we got there at 6, the whole parking lot was full. We had to park on the street and upon our arrival we saw that the entire bar downstairs was full of people and then I saw a girl wearing a sash that said "my 21st birthday." This was a completely different party from what was going on upstairs. He not only double booked us but he TRIPLE booked us. He came outside acting as if he had no idea what was going on. He said he thought this party was us. I'm like... how do you get that confused? You knew my party started at 6:30. He tried to have us move the party outside. I did not want to do that because we would have to go in and out for drinks. The woman that planned the 21st was so nice to me and even offered to combine our parties. She told me that he did the exact same thing to her, she thought she would get the upstairs as well. He also told her that she wouldn't need to pay anything at all to have her party there, but told me that I would have to pay a fee the day of. At that point, I didn't want to give them my business anymore. I was over it. Thank God we were able to move my party to Top Shooters and they were able to accommodate us. We obviously weren't able to bring any of the food that we made, but it was better than nothing. Steve at The Barn needs to hire someone else to plan parties if he is unable to plan and coordinate them himself. Unfortunately this experience was a learning lesson for me. Anytime I plan or book a party somewhere, I need to make sure there's a contract in place. I hope that everyone reads this learns from me and does not book with The Barn.

Coming to this Columbia, Illinois hot spot and enjoying the atmosphere you can see why. Be prepared to seeing it totally packed on the weekends. I wanted to see the two bartenders I personally consider the stars of the venue Abigail and Kassidy. As beautiful and talented as you obviously see they are it's their guest service and personalities win the day. Two sweeter and more genuine individuals I challenge you to find anywhere. I'm going to be 100% honest I actually do get nervous coming into see them. It's hard to imagine seeing two angels on Earth. All the girls rock and provide premier service. I lived in St Louis for 14 years and I must say this would definitely be my spot if I still lived in the area. With Abigail and Kassidy it's like coming back and seeing friends I've known. I get that impression it's their style with all guest. I travel the country and these two are my two favorites anywhere. I'd highly recommend if you're a first timer you request them. They're hard working and get their business done. And tip the well!!! They deserve it. Thank you. Michael J Beal Clearwater, Florida.

Pretty chill atmosphere, right off the bat - no uniforms for the servers just comfy clothing. We chose one of the rooms, just opposite the bar. Alexis quickly greeted us and served us our drinks. As we waited for her to come back to take our order, I admired the cool decor. It's very farm-esque, of course, as Millstadt is a farming town. Paintings of farm animals, vintage Coca Cola signs, etc. The music was lightly playing near the bar and it was pretty busy in there but not loud. Big screens above the bar played racing and the TV's were on near us but I could barely hear the sound, just closed captioned. I appreciated the fact that I could really enjoy my time with my dad and be able to hear him. I ordered a cup of chili and Cesar salad combo. I was very impressed with the chili! It's a go-to and if the chili impresses- I'm bound to try other things at any restaurant. It had just the right amount of kick and great flavor. The Cesar salad was off to me; it was drenched in Cesar salad dressing, the croutons at the bottoms and very little lettuce. However, the flavor of the dressing impressed, it was just too much for me. I would definitely order the salad again, but be sure and ask for the dressing on the side.. which is totally my mistake because I usually do and forgot this time. Overall, it was very tasty. My dad, being from the south, knows his gumbo! He ordered it to try, along with the pulled pork sandwich and fries. From first bite, he kept saying how good everything was. He said the gumbo was probably the best he's had from any restaurant. He was just as impressed with the pork and said it was fantastic. The guy isn't even into sauces and complimented that as well. The fries were crispy, that goodness because the guy doesn't play with crap fries. :) Overall, the service was great - Alexis was excellent! A sweet young lady, super fast and attentive. And it's always an A+ when I see a waitress be super kind with my dad. Well, done, Alexis! When we were ready to pay, she was busy with the manager and the nice bartender gal came over and took our check - it was nice to not leave us waiting. Very mindful staff, good customer service & that speaks volumes! Flavorful, all around! Pretty cool place. We will be back to try more on the menu. GREAT JOB, Spike's!
