The staff was very friendly, welcoming, and professional. We initially had booked a suite and it was fantastic to have all that extra space. After we checked out, we tried heading home east on I80, but the road was closed indefinitely, so after lunch, we reluctantly decided to return to the hotel for a room. The front desk staff was great, let us check back in well before regular checking hours, and even apologized that our original room wasn't available anymore. Which was fine by us. The road finally reopened later that evening, so we headed back out around 9pm, and again, staff was very friendly and let us know, we'd still have access to the room until midnight if we needed to come back. Thankfully that wasn't necessary. I do wish they had extended breakfast hours on Sundays but otherwise we had a great stay.

Not even a dust bunny could be found. This family owned motel used hotel quality linens on the very comfy bed. As well as fluffy soft towels. Shampoo and soap are provided as well and the water is hot. A small coffee maker. A refrigerator. A desk and tv. Everything one could need. It's not luxury at all, but it felt like I stepped back in time. Before the Holiday Inns took over. All my money went to a nice family and that feels good. I would stay here again and again. The shower was interesting - great water pressure, however some of the nozzles were definitely misaligned because the water was spraying off to the sides. The bed was just okay, but we got a good night's sleep. Overall, would stay again if needed.

And hung up..we got to our new room as it was late we decided to inquire again about the pack n play so we could get the baby situated. After 5 tries and no answer we headed to the front desk for the 3rd time since check in and honestly the manner in which we were treated almost made us take the L and leave but over all I'm glad we stayed as the morning staff was absolutely amazing ! Kind attentive patient and very pleasant over all. Found out at checkout that the night girl did not apply the military rate despite being given our active duty ID and that many of the things she told us were untrue and unnecessary... As a side note listening to her tell multiple people " oh we only have 1 room left and purposely pressure people into booking upcharged rooms seems pretty unethical and sadly I don't think my family and I will be returning to this hotel in our future travels !!!!!

When addressed with the attendant, they just shrugged their shoulders and said "It's the best I can do". When requested to have it cleaned the request was denied. When asked for a refund so we could go somewhere else that was denied as well. We paid full price to stay in the room less than an hour before we left and found another hotel.

Clean room, comfortable, and a hot breakfast in the morning. Enjoyed my visit to Rawlins and got to see the historical prison and a funky Texaco gas station from years gone by.
