    The View!

Sunset Grille will not disappoint! This waterfront restaurant has it all! From a tiki bar with live music to a beautiful sunset patio for a romantic dinner on your special night. You're guaranteed a great time! The menu was nothing short of remarkable, filled with decadent seafood specials and american grill classics. We started off with calamari paired with a refreshing white wine and quickly moved to the main course. We both enjoyed perfectly prepared seafood dishes. Our only qualm was how big our servings were so we couldn't enjoy dessert. Although I suppose that's a good problem to have! We will definitely be back again and can't wait to try out their sister restaurant!

What a perfect spot to celebrate my dad's birthday lunch! It was the perfect balance of quality dining while still being casual. The view of the Norwalk Harbor was beautiful, and our table was under the shade, so we were able to enjoy the perfect weather without getting too hot. Everything from the drinks to the food were fanatic, and we were obsessed with the artichoke crab dip! Our server was attentive and friendly, and there was plenty of parking. I'll definitely be keeping this spot in mind to come back to!

Best Sunday Funday location in Fairfield county! Mario and Rich are the best bartenders in the world.

Fish and Fish 'N Chips, avocado toast

Food is tiny-portioned, mediocre and expensive. Pictured is my $25 avocado toast, made with supermarket sliced bread (which had probably been toasted hours before because it was rock hard), 2 eggs, 1oz of crab meat, a mountain of arugula, and the two tiniest pieces of avocado I have ever seen. My husband had a $32 fish and chips which was also tiny. Place was invaded by wasps, they were also in the bathroom. The deck has a nice view.

I had the salmon Caesar salad special and my hubs had the eggs Benedict. Both perfect! Our waitress (Amber) was amazing. Loved it! Highly recommend and we loved the view.

Our first meal out since February and after witnessing the server in the kitchen without a mask for 10 minutes will probably be our last!

Very cool place to have a nice dinner on the Pier. Food was great and service was nice. Views make it so nice around sunset.

Ask the Community - Sunset Grille

Do they have a dock for boat parking?

Yes they do. I think you have to call ahead to let them know you will be arriving

Are shorts ok for men at dinner?

    Yes. It's totally casual

Do they allow dogs on the patio?

    Don't know

Taking my 99 year old Mom, will she like it?

I'd go during a slow time, it maybe too noisy and busy otherwise. That said, not a lot of people sit inside, so that maybe better.

I rarely ever leave one star reviews in all the years my wife and I have been dining but this place…read moredeserves it. Absolutely atrocious !! Yuck ! Buyer Beware !! We decided to try Ripkas at the Norwalk Beach and as we walked in there a line of 9 customers with only one cashier. (You may want to hire another counter person) during peak times. We waited about 40 mins for two sandwiches. Upon glancing at the food I couldn't believe it. Burger wasn't cooked med-well as ordered. The other sandwich had what appeared to be old Elmers wood glue all over it. See photos. Philly steak looked frozen then warmed up as greasy meat. Fries were maybe the one star if not I wouldn't rated this place a zero. Wait it gets better; the price was $42 bucks for that is embarrassing. You guys were so cheap you couldn't add a bit of fries as a combo meal? You had to charge extra. We took a couple of bites and through the rest in the garbage. We absolutely DO NOT recommend. We're local but would ever go back there again. Spend your money and enjoy a good meal elsewhere.

Avoid the Lobster Roll Sandwich. It is way overpriced and has about 3 Ounces of Lobster Meat and most of it is from the Claw Tips which are chewy and rubbery and usually never served anywhere. Staff stated it was 8 Ounces of Lobster Meat. NO - it was not! That was untrue? And they put grilled onions and warm lettuce on there. Really? That is NOT the way New England prepares Lobster Rolls or Lobster Sandwiches, whether they are Hot or Cold. Disgusting and paid nearly $50.00 for Crappy Food. Be sure to park in the correct parking space. Staff told us if you fail to do so - you will have to pay a $150.00 Parking Ticket Fine. Large Parking Lot located outdoors and lots of parking spaces. NO Refills offered here on $4.00 Iced Tea Beverages. Plastic Cutlery is offered here. Bread here is so so - NOT great and has hardly any flavor to it. AVOID this place if possible. It's a Nightmare and a big mess. They need to focus on quality and less items on the menu. This location fails to provide edible food. Staff smoking or vaping indoors behind the Counter was also a HUGE Health Code Violation!!! Connecticut State Law prohibits Staff from Smoking or Vaping indoors at ALL Food Establishments. This location should be issued a Citation for non-compliance of State of Connecticut Law...

The seafood is fresh, well presented and tasty. Definitely runs traditional but not in a tired way. The crab stuffed shrimp (see picture) had real connection with the spinach and beurre blanc and as a result the jasmine rice was not dry or incidental to the dish. Service was good although we may have benefited from being a welcome no drama reprieve for our waiter. Given this is Norwalk and next to the harbor, it is perhaps not a shock to learn that entitlement could be on display. It literally was the "a lobster for you, a lobster for you, a lobster for you" kind of approach to ordering at the next table. And then come on man, really? The lobster is served and then you decide you want a sandwich instead and send it back? Showing off for both your kid and for your friend? Perhaps it my Midwest background that makes this so cringe worthy, but let's just say there is a risk of running into more money than sense.

There were cones blocking certain spots, but NOT the spot I parked in. A valet/parking employee watched me park, made eye contact with me, and said nothing as I walked away. Naturally, I assumed the spot was okay. I was actually visiting another establishment that was specifically listed as approved for parking in the lot, and even after explaining that, they still refused to remove the Barnacle from my windshield unless I paid. What made the situation even worse was the way it was handled afterward. The owner -- who appeared intoxicated at her own bar -- started lecturing me instead of trying to resolve the situation reasonably or professionally. It was honestly one of the most uncomfortable and unprofessional customer interactions I've had in a long time. This did not feel like legitimate parking enforcement. It felt like a deliberate setup to catch people in confusing circumstances and force them into paying outrageous fees. Be extremely careful parking anywhere around here. I would strongly recommend avoiding this area altogether unless you want to risk dealing with the same scammy situation.
