He didn't hover but had impeccable timing to be there just when your drink was needing a refill. We started with 3 different appetizers to share and try different items. The Mediterranean sampler of hummus, tahini and baba ganoush served with warm dipping bread, the Jerusalem combo - falafel, meat kibbeh, vegetarian kibbeh, Moroccan beef cigars with tahini dipping sauce and last but not least, the Phyllo Rolls. Everything was a surprise to your tastebuds! Although pretty sure the warm bread with the Baba ganoush was the fav! Our meals consisted of Salmon Shish Kebab, Beef Shashlik, Chicken Shrish Tawook and Lamb chops. All meals were cooked to perfection and extremely flavorful & the Mediterranean salad was light and fresh (one of my favorites for sure). Originally, my girlfriend & I were going to eat at the Cook Out further north up US 17 Business on Labor Day Monday, 9/2/24. But it started heavily raining, and it was only to go at this Cook Out; the one I went to before was dine-in, so that threw us for a loop. We would've had to wait outside in the pouring rain to order and then eat in the car, which I had no interest in doing. We were ultimately meeting up with friends down on the boardwalk south of 8th Ave N. We had parked on Broadway and thought about eating over there, but nothing stood out. We walked to Ocean Blvd, there were a couple of places that were to go or just wasn't feeling. Shwarma's King looked promising and coincidentally that's where some friends already were. So, we settled on that. My biggest pet peeve with restaurants is no courtesy cup of water for paying customer of food. Water should be given no questions asked. You order at the counter. I will say the owner was very nice. And we were desperate since I don't normally do food purchases from a business who refuses water. My g/f went ahead and paid since I froze when we talked about the no water cup, and she bought water. I will also say that the Schwarma wrap was great. It was too bad he denied courtesy cup of water, which should be a given with the meal because I think I would've given this 5-stars instead of 2-stars considering the friendly owner & great food.

This plate deserves some attention…read more I ordered the sesame-crusted ahi tuna at one of my favorite haunts, Tipsy Tuna in Oak Island, and this one did not disappoint. The tuna was seared exactly the way I want it: hot on the outside, beautifully rare in the middle, tender and full of flavor. That sesame crust added just the right amount of texture without overpowering the tuna. The seaweed salad, wasabi and soy rounded everything out perfectly. And let's talk about that tuna for a second... that color tells the story. This is the kind of dish where you take the first bite and immediately think, "Yep... I'd order that again."
