It was a father and his two sons, and they were very punctual, professional, and honestly just really hard workers. You can immediately tell they're a good family who takes a lot of pride in what they do. They were extra helpful from start to finish....they helped us move furniture, explained everything clearly, and truly went the extra mile to make sure we were comfortable with the whole process. I originally wanted my front living room done now, but because it's the holidays, I asked if we could wait to do the rest of the rooms afterward. They understood completely without any issues, and we already have everything scheduled for the next rooms after the first is finished. If you're looking for a reliable, family-run business that shows up on time, works hard, and treats your home with respect, I highly recommend The Finishing Touch. We're very happy with the work and with the whole experience.

We experienced some needed changes during the refinishing of our entire house. Certain areas that are too stained to match everything (requiring replacing those boards or choosing a darker stain if you prefer), we believed we had hardwood flooring under the kitchen laminate and it turns out we did not. Each step of the way, Ruben would calmly lay out our options, and quickly show us the cost of each option. It was a very large project. They replaced all of our base boards and door trims throughout the house as well as refinishing floors throughout the entire house. We stayed in a hotel during the work and Ruben gave consistent updates so that we had a good guess of which day we move back into the house and plan accordingly for that. I would describe Ruben's approach as "high-touch". Answers questions via text, always happy to stop by just to drop off samples of colors or materials. I really appreciated this. This is a licensed and insured local business with a stellar reputation which is why we went with them. I'm so happy we did. If you're thinking about any home project that fall into this domain, I highly suggest you connect with Ruben so that he can help make recommendations and give you insight into variables and logistics. We had MSI Trecento XL Carrara Avell flooring installed throughout our home, and the finished flooring is absolutely beautiful. It has transformed our home, the new baseboards look great, and we are very happy with the overall result. The installation did take considerably longer than expected due to scheduling delays, the extensive floor preparation that was needed, and later an unexpected shortage of flooring material. The amount of dust generated during the work also made it necessary for us to stay in a hotel for 11 nights. What I especially appreciated was how Rudy handled the difficulties. He remained professional, listened to our concerns, apologized for the problems we experienced, and worked with us on compensation that covered much of our hotel expense. That willingness to listen and work toward a fair resolution made a big difference to us. Our advice to anyone planning a large flooring project would be to discuss scheduling, crew availability, dust containment, and material planning in detail beforehand. Renovations can have unexpected complications, but ultimately what matters is both the quality of the finished work and how a company responds when problems arise. We love our new floors and are very happy with how beautiful our home looks now.

While they were at our house replacing our carpet with hardwood floors, my dog Fiona accidentally got out. I wasn't home at the time and got a call saying she had escaped. My heart dropped and I rushed home in a panic. I immediately went to the park where I always walk her, searching and calling her name. There was no sign of her. I ran up and down the street, then went back to the park and called her name even louder. Suddenly, from across the park, I saw Fiona running as fast as she could straight toward me. At the same time, a man named Anthony got out of his car and ran toward her to help. When I finally picked Fiona up, I was so overwhelmed with relief and gratitude that I asked him if I could give him a hug. When I got back to the house, I found out something that touched my heart even more -- the entire crew from TSP Remodeling had actually stopped working and went out searching for Fiona to help bring her home safely. These men took time away from their jobs just to help me find my dog. That kind of compassion is rare, and it meant the world to me. And on top of all that, they did absolutely stunning work on our floors. We replaced our carpet with hardwood flooring and it turned out beautiful. The craftsmanship, the care, and the professionalism are top notch. I want to give the biggest thank you and shoutout to TSP Remodeling and the entire crew, especially Anthony. He came and installed quickly and efficiently. No more leaks! Additionally, I had been in the process of installing new Subzero and Wolf appliances in the kitchen. The company has very strict requirements for installation of the refrigerator. Upon inspection, it was determined that the above refrigerator cabinet had to be raised to accommodate the new refrigerator hight. Also, the electrical outlet needed to be moved up several feet because all the electrical workings sit on top of the refrigerator, rather than below like most refrigerators. Chuey was able to make the necessary changes BUT, it didn't stop there! Because Subzero suggests a "built in" look for esthetics, I needed to add panels to fill a small gap. I could have purchased panels from Subzero for an added cost but Chuey was able to create a wood panel and stain it to match existing wood cabinets. This also required the crown molding on top the cabinets had to be added to fit the new changes. Chuey was able to find moldings and stained this to match. Chuey managed to work around both our busy schedules and this was much appreciated. Not to mention it will make your floors easier to clean, your home feel fresher, and increase its value. The lower half of our home has hardwood, and we'd been considering hardwood to replace our gross carpeted stairs and second level bedrooms for years. We took our time in shopping around getting several bids. Jonathan Gayer provided our first bid and was ultimately who we decided upon. There were a couple other contenders, but something about Jonathan just felt right. It was one of the best home improvement decisions we have ever made. I'll give it to you in bullet point sequence as Jonathan checked all the boxes for us in this respect: * The proposal process with Jonathan was patient, comprehensive, professional, with no-pressure at all. * We were trying to match our 12-year-old 1st floor hardwood with new hardwood on the stairs, landings, and office. Jonathan did a lot of legwork and delivered us several samples with no pressure whatsoever. * We decided to wait several months before pulling the trigger, and when we were finally ready, we went right back to Jonathan. He didn't skip a beat, helping us with another home walkthrough, answering final questions, and deciding on the wood choice. * The installation was punctual, professional, and precise. His team, led by Mariano and Jose, were respectful and communicative throughout the entire process. They prepped and cleaned each day to minimize the intrusion of such a major home undertaking. And they were all great with our dogs and 7-year-old. They were also consultative, giving me a few choices and suggestions along the way that ultimately made a big, positive difference to the outcome. Our floors, stairs, and banisters look stunning thanks to Jonathan, Eva, Mariano, Jose and team, and as their proposal came right in the middle of the bids we were getting, I feel we make the right financial choice as well. I wouldn't think twice about using Johnathan Gayer for our next hardwood floor project. Trust me, they are craftsmen and will beautify your home in the most friendly and professional way.
