The room is clean and spotless! For a three star hotel it feels like you are in a five star hotel. All of the receptionists I encountered were very friendly and welcoming. I seen other people mention the noise from other rooms and I definitely noticed other people's conversation (loud voices though.) Lobby doors are a little bit narrow but nothing to worry about. For me doing second shifts, it is nice to get into the hotel with no problems. I am very happy to say that if you are looking for an affordable nice quality experience I recommend the Holiday Inn Express in Coldwater. Here are some amenities for those wondering: *my room has a mini fridge and coffee station *air conditioning *dressers and cabinets for organizing * adjustable tv for smart tv sticks like Roku and Amazon *breakfast is wonderful for a hotel breakfast. There's a little bit of something for everyone. Location Accessibility/ Security: Accessible by service drive off of Willowbrook Dr, next to Hampton Inn. Each room has a flap style lock and a door with locks on it so you feel comfortable and safe at night. Each room also has adjustable curtains to close if you want to block out outside light during the day.

The employees here are outstanding. I received a warm and friendly welcome from the front desk employee when I checked in, and helpful recommendations throughout my stay. Cookies were available, and I seldom find cookies at HIEs anymore. Breakfast was better than average and the seating area was spacious. This is a convenient location just off the interstate, but not so close that you can hear road noise.

I had the most bizarre and unsafe experience while staying here for a work trip a few months ago. I…read morewas in line to check in with a group of coworkers & while I was waiting in line, my coworker who had been checked in first & already went up to his room came back down to the front desk and said that when he went in his room there was already someone in there laying on the bed! It turns out the front desk attendant read his reservation room number wrong & accidentally duplicated someone else's key card and gave it to him. The attendant then gave him the correct room key card, but that was not a safe situation. The attendant then checked me in & when I went to my room, the key did not work. I went back to the front desk & she reloaded the key but it still did not work when I tried again. The attendant then came with me to my room and tried her master key and that did not work either. She then told me that the battery on the lock probably needed to be changed so she needed to get an Allen wrench to change it out, but that she needed to do some other stuff before she could help me. I had to wait 10 minutes for her to wrap up whatever she was doing before she could come help me, which was the last thing I wanted to do after a long day. She came back with a pack of different sized Allen wrenches and tried them one at a time on the lock because she wasn't sure what size she needed. As she's on her knees trying to change the lock battery, the door opens and there was a man in my room too! Everyone was very confused about what was going on. She asked the man's last name and the name he said was the same one as mine which was strange because I have a unique last name and have never met anyone else with the same name as me outside of my family. The attendant then told me that she was just going to get me a new room. When we went back to the front desk, she was looking in the system and she told me that I was the only person with that last name who had a reservation that night and asked my full name and said that was the room that was tried to the reservation! I ended up getting a new room, but was not offered of any kind of credit or upgrade for my horrible experience. I saw the man who was in my room the next day at breakfast so apparently the random man who supposedly didn't have reservation was not addressed. I'm not sure how he was allowed to get a room key card without checking his ID because it is very unlikely we had same first and last name. Thankfully nothing bad happened to me or my coworker in this situation, but it had the potential to be very dangerous if either of the people already in the rooms would've had malicious intent. This was a very scary experience as a young woman traveling in an unfamiliar area.

We've been going to Turtle Lake for more than 10 years on and off (wish it could be more often)…read more We've stayed in the lodge and now have a small motorhome. Both types of quarters have their qualities- just depends on how you like to vacation. There are so many things to do here! Beautiful indoor pool. Really nice tiki bar next to the "conversation pool", a rec building with pool, darts, cards... There are volleyball nets, shuffleboard, mini golf, pickleball courts and more! We've never stayed in one of the"park model" units, but they look lovely. There are dances on Saturday nights and themed weekends during the summer. We love it out here. A couple things to keep in mind: This is a FAMILY resort. There are a few families with kids. Sort of took me by surprise when we first visited, but everyone is very relaxed and take all things in stride. This is NOT a swingers place. No one is looking to "hook up". No one cares about the size of your butt or whether you have weird surgery scars. This is a place where everyone enjoys what you can't do most other places: relax, feel comfortable in your own skin and meet new friends. As a woman, I can honestly tell you I was freaked out about going the first time. We're taught to obsess about cellulite and wrinkles. I've never felt as confidant and comfortable as I do at TLR. It becomes obvious right away that no one judges you... about anything! Once you shed your clothes, no one can tell if your rich or making this the one vacation you can take every couple of years. You don't have to compare yourself with a anyone else on any level. And guys... don't worry about being aroused or embarrassed. After a little adjustment period, when you get used to people being friendly and smiling a lot, you just don't feel like you have to be someone you aren't either. You get to know people for who they are. It sounds corny, but you feel natural here. You appreciate people for what's inside. I'm still a little bummed that they don't have the motorcycle rallies anymore (such a blast!) but everything else keeps getting better here. ;) You should visit! Really! (Bring SUNSCREEN!)

It's quiet and secluded, but I found it easy to get to town to grab dinner and a few small things that I had forgot. The indoor pool and hot tub were pretty popular with the regulars, and they were very welcoming of a new guest. I did notice that the hot tub was a wee bit grimy, but not too bad. Also, the women at the front desk/office we are very friendly and accommodating. There is a quota to maintain the male to female ratio, so make sure to ask when booking your reservation.

Absolutely I am game. we left the Detroit area and came to Coldwater Michigan. We always stay at Best Western because it's always so fresh and clean and they always have an above decent if not exceptional breakfast. It's Best Western So the pool says heated it is not!!!! It's cold, the Jacuzzi somebody needs to work on the Jets because they're not working correctly. I let the management know how clean our room was when we first arrived because it was very clean, even though outdated. We slept like crap on the springs that were popping up in the bed. The pillows were awful and all night long..... it sounded like someone was wiggling our door knob, trying to get in our room so needless to say I had maybe three hours of sleep. And to top it off, we both had to turn opposite directions and sleep in both of the queen beds because all you could smell in between the beds was adult urine saturated in the carpet We had decided that we were going to go down to the front desk and cancel Saturday night. Since we had already paid, it was not an option and we were like 10 minutes after 11 AM check out so it was our fault, I take full responsibility and we did not argue. And the breakfast they offered was above and beyond just nasty. They actually had tangerines that were so dry you wanted to just make a pair of shoes with them. I think my biggest irritating factor is the pool is cold and the sauna hot/ hot tub whatever doesn't work... but if you compare this to any other Best Western, check it out before you stay!!!! I I personally feel that Best Western with the prestige they have and having their name on this building is a very big mistake. And it's funny they were advertising online rooms for the night that were $44 cheaper than what we actually paid with all the discounts we got for being Best Western members. I do not recommend this location because you're not going to sleep well the urine is major on top of just I feel dirty.
