Grill reasonably priced, great food and strong drinks. Here were the pros, a few shout outs and suggestions: The day before we found out it would rain on our scheduled day. Called and found out policy that we had to send an email. Emailed around 3pm the day before. The manager responded almost immediately (learned through subsequent emails he was off site but continued to respond to us). Gave us options. Ultimately we kept our date since the other dates were booked up. Day of lesson they walked us through the process. Staff helped kids but let them "do" it (ex sat watching patiently as kids laced us snowboarding boots but tightened and checked at the end). Kids loved instructors and cup of hot chocolate at end of lesson. Edward (kids ski group) was wonderful (fun and really nice). It rained and kids soaking wet. I went to check the shop and Deanna helped me find gloves that would work for them. We hung out at the Grill for the five hours. Great view of the slopes so we could get pictures of kids. Really good food. Apple flatbread was amazing. Reasonable prices, good size portions. Julie took great care of us checking in often. Nice ambiance with large fire pit. My oldest son fell and hit his head hard towards the end of the day. Instructor addressed it immediately, I was concerned and asked for first aid. Ski patrol came to us, checked him out and gave us next step instructions. Impressed with their knowledge and concern. Suggestions: really bad 80's music (maybe update). Parents splurge for ski pants even for one day (Target a mile down the rd with large selection of Champion ski pants, water proof gloves and puffy jackets). Great place for kids lessons. They cater to both the kids and parents!

The room is clean and spotless! For a three star hotel it feels like you are in a five star hotel. All of the receptionists I encountered were very friendly and welcoming. I seen other people mention the noise from other rooms and I definitely noticed other people's conversation (loud voices though.) Lobby doors are a little bit narrow but nothing to worry about. For me doing second shifts, it is nice to get into the hotel with no problems. I am very happy to say that if you are looking for an affordable nice quality experience I recommend the Holiday Inn Express in Coldwater. I let the management know how clean our room was when we first arrived because it was very clean, even though outdated. We slept like crap on the springs that were popping up in the bed. The pillows were awful and all night long..... it sounded like someone was wiggling our door knob, trying to get in our room so needless to say I had maybe three hours of sleep. And to top it off, we both had to turn opposite directions and sleep in both of the queen beds because all you could smell in between the beds was adult urine saturated in the carpet We had decided that we were going to go down to the front desk and cancel Saturday night. Since we had already paid, it was not an option and we were like 10 minutes after 11 AM check out so it was our fault, I take full responsibility and we did not argue. And the breakfast they offered was above and beyond just nasty. They actually had tangerines that were so dry you wanted to just make a pair of shoes with them. I think my biggest irritating factor is the pool is cold and the sauna hot/ hot tub whatever doesn't work... but if you compare this to any other Best Western, check it out before you stay!!!! I I personally feel that Best Western with the prestige they have and having their name on this building is a very big mistake. And it's funny they were advertising online rooms for the night that were $44 cheaper than what we actually paid with all the discounts we got for being Best Western members. I do not recommend this location because you're not going to sleep well the urine is major on top of just I feel dirty.
