My husband and I came to Coldwater, MI this past weekend to attend a wedding. The wedding was…read morelocated at ArtistreEscapes! This is the most beautiful wedding venue I've ever seen! It's an island that sits off of a lake and it is huge. It looked as though the owners spend decades making this place to be a destination for wedding perfection. The event tent is massive and the gazebos are magical. The landscaping is practically like they took a page of a princess fairytale storybook! One of the guest fishes on the lake, serval others enjoyed the boat ride, and many took advantage of walking on the trails and strolling around the venue. I have never seen out houses that looked like real in home bathrooms before. This made the usual dread of going to the restroom at an out door event so much more pleasant. Like I said every detail is covered! The only two things I noticed to be a slight problem was the parking, and needing another outhouse. Both of these things created back ups to the flow of the event. But all in all the place is MAGNIFICENT!!!

My husband and I got married here in the fall. NOT worth the money. It looked amazing when we…read moreviewed the place. It was even still decorated from their relatives wedding a few weeks prior to us viewing it. However, upon actually using the place it was clearly cleaned immaculately for the family member. The huge beautiful windows were murky and had smudges all over them (A few of my wedding photos show this). The yellow jackets were a HUGE problem resulting in 2 guests being stung. You aren't allowed to use an outside caterer unless you pay them $2000 and the food had no flavor. They set out MOLDY cheese for our guests, which did get partially consumed before a bridesmaid noticed. They removed the appetizers and never said a word to my husband or me and never replaced it with anything! We paid over $300 for cheese, crackers, and veggies! They state in the contract that we can't take home leftovers due to Health Department codes, understandable, however, their kitchen staff took the leftovers home after clearing dinner up before our guests were even done eating. Their kitchen staff also stole desserts that we paid for from a separate vendor! No one is on site after dinner is cleaned up so if you have anything come up during the reception you have to contact them over the phone. Our DJ stated he didn't like the way the owner dictated how everything was set up and time frames so he has decided to no longer DJ at this venue. The next day we discovered trash in the room to get ready in that was obviously not left by us which means they didn't even thoroughly clean the room. We were so highly disappointed with this place. We worked hard to pay for this and it was not the dream wedding we both envisioned at all.

I cannot say enough good things about this day and this venue made all of our wedding dreams come true. I highly recommend this venue to anyone!!

My family stays at Sunset Cove every summer. We have a lot for our camper that we pay $1400 a year…read morefor, $200 for a dock, and we also pay for electric. I enjoy staying and relaxing and being out on the water. Marble lake is a lake that's part of a series of channels and lakes and that's one of my favorite things about this particular area. As mentioned above there's a pretty nice price tag on what we pay and because of that it would be nice to see the money that so many are paying for go towards upgrades in the resort. Better restrooms and showers... more full hook ups in the camper area... heck even new playground equipment... throw us a bone!! For as much as lot rent is as well as paying for our own electric on top of that this resort has to be pocketing a lot of money and I would be thoroughly impressed if we start to saw some, *any* kind of upgrade in the resort. Anyways the resort is usable and not by any means in bad shape. I enjoy spending my weekends here and don't have many complaints. Side note the corner store on the water has amazing hand dipped ice-cream that can't be beat. If you're here, don't miss it.
