Would have been higher, BUT POOL IS COLD AS ICE!! When I ask at front desk I was told we could drive across town to coldwaters aquatic pool, which cost $ but they would pay us back for it?? Excuse me we paid over 300$ for two nights and can not use pool. I did ask for compensation, we shall see. Very disappointed our 30th anniversary and our daughter brought our 2 year old granddaughter and had thought we would have fun pool time... So as long as you don't use pool it's very nice. Update, we were given one night free and they put a notice at front desk that pool is open but cold! read more

Disgusting! Absolutely the worst experience, will never book with them again! Tried to take a picture of a roach but it ran off! read more

I had the most bizarre and unsafe experience while staying here for a work trip a few months ago. I was in line to check in with a group of coworkers & while I was waiting in line, my coworker who had been checked in first & already went up to his room came back down to the front desk and said that when he went in his room there was already someone in there laying on the bed! It turns out the front desk attendant read his reservation room number wrong & accidentally duplicated someone else's key card and gave it to him. The attendant then gave him the correct room key card, but that was not a safe situation. The attendant then checked me in & when I went to my room, the key did not work. I went back to the front desk & she reloaded the key but it still did not work when I tried again. The attendant then came with me to my room and tried her master key and that did not work either. She then told me that the battery on the lock probably needed to be changed so she needed to get an Allen wrench to change it out, but that she needed to do some other stuff before she could help me. I had to wait 10 minutes for her to wrap up whatever she was doing before she could come help me, which was the last thing I wanted to do after a long day. She came back with a pack of different sized Allen wrenches and tried them one at a time on the lock because she wasn't sure what size she needed. As she's on her knees trying to change the lock battery, the door opens and there was a man in my room too! Everyone was very confused about what was going on. She asked the man's last name and the name he said was the same one as mine which was strange because I have a unique last name and have never met anyone else with the same name as me outside of my family. The attendant then told me that she was just going to get me a new room. When we went back to the front desk, she was looking in the system and she told me that I was the only person with that last name who had a reservation that night and asked my full name and said that was the room that was tried to the reservation! I ended up getting a new room, but was not offered of any kind of credit or upgrade for my horrible experience. I saw the man who was in my room the next day at breakfast so apparently the random man who supposedly didn't have reservation was not addressed. I'm not sure how he was allowed to get a room key card without checking his ID because it is very unlikely we had same first and last name. Thankfully nothing bad happened to me or my coworker in this situation, but it had the potential to be very dangerous if either of the people already in the rooms would've had malicious intent. This was a very scary experience as a young woman traveling in an unfamiliar area. read more

I've been staying here for several years and I don't know why they can't make coffee instead of coffee water. I have to go to the local coffee shop in the mornings which I feel is ridiculous! read more

Friendly staff and room was clean. I love the Hilton family hotels because they universally have the most comfortable bedding...sadly this location is the exception. I put 2 pillows together to create half of a pillow. The bed was VERY firm, uncomfortably firm. read more

Stopped in late after driving all day. Desk clerk was very nice and also helpful to what was open in the area for a beer & a bite. The room was average what you'd expect. Breakfast was under par compared to Marriott and other Hilton brand hotels we stay at. Only half the normal food was out and it was bare minimum. No real pastry, waffle iron was put away, coffee was out away from the dining area, yogurt was yucky. I may look elsewhere next trip through. read more

Great room and very clean hotel! The staff were all friendly and accommodating. The breakfast buffet was exceptional and the woman working the buffet was so nice and helpful! read more

Comfortable, clean Hampton Inn right off I-69. Sizable room; couldn't hear noise outside; firm bed. Friendly staff. Filling breakfast. Only downside for us was (went in August) the air conditioning. We turned down 2 degrees and it ran loudly for 15 minutes to get there. Woke up cold in middle of night; raised 1 degree - ran loudly for 10 minutes. read more

Get place the staff was excellent breakfast was nicely done very clean and staffed could use better omelette the one they have is tuff and not very good taste read more

Cons: This is one of the worst Hampton's I've staying in, and I travel a lot. I usually let it slide if there are a couple annoying things but there are just too many: -My room was reserved as part of a group, and the wifi login for EVERYONE was the travel agent's last name who booked the room and our own room number...what?? They got a lot of calls at the desk about why people couldn't log in. -Only one ice machine on one floor was working. -Desk chair was broken and couldn't be adjusted, but no, they couldn't give me a new one. So much for trying to work. -Vending machines completely out of water. -Breakfast eggs were cold. Honey was completely crystallized and inedible. -I'm not a strong coffee drinker--I put in a lot of cream, but Even the "dark roast" coffee was pretty weak. -This might be a Hamptonwide thing but all the cups, whether in the room or at breakfast or at the coffee station, were wrapped in plastic. SO MUCH plastic waste! Shame on you Hampton! Pros: You can keep the fan on high on the thermostat for continuous white noise which is nice for sleeping. I should have stayed across the lot at HIE. read more

I only gave this hotel 1 star because I couldn't give a zero. Next time, it looks like Holiday Inn Express for me. The pool was filthy and so cold no one uses it. Construction is poor and you can hear everything in room next door. For what they charge, this is a poor option. Never again. read more

Great location, very clean, efficient and friendly staff, EXCELLENT breakfast, and great coffee available anytime! When we checked in, the desk attendant offered us bottled water and checked us in quickly. She was very friendly and informative when we asked about local restaurants and provided a list and directions as well as her own recommendations. Our room was very clean, as was the facility. The towels were plentiful and fluffy, which I liked a lot! The breakfast layout was incredible! All manner of fresh fruit, both sliced and whole, nuts, fresh greek yogurt, biscuits, gravy, waffles, pancakes, and cooked oatmeal with all of the fixings. You name it, they had it! Did I mention the coffee is great too? The staff are very friendly and efficient. We were very impressed. For a supposedly 3 star hotel, they do a great job. read more

I have NEVER been so disgusted by this stay. No one seemed to care. I received 30,000 bonus points for my trouble. I call bulls@#t. This is in the middle of COVID-19. I choose the Hampton because they have always been so clean, and helpful. This place was despicable. NEVER STAY here. We checked in on Wednesday and checked out on Sunday. On Saturday night there was a party of35 people in front of the hotel. Not a one wearing a mask. The employees and management of this hotel do not care, nor do the higher ups in the corporate. 30,000 bonus points for my life. No thank you. Just STAY away! read more

Beautiful location, friendly staff, clean, but slightly deteriorated room. Fitted sheets without elastic that wouldn't stay on the bed...asked staff to change, and they put on sheets that were worse. At 1130 pm a huge group checked in and continued their party on our floor until at least 2am, running, screaming, slamming doors and NO intervention by staff. I want people to enjoy their vakay, but how about a little courtesy to others in the hotel? I've always counted on Hampton for a great stay, but I'm sorry to say this was not one of them. read more

Worst place I've ever stayed. Breakfast sucked they didn't have any meat!.. staff sucked & they charged me $250 for smoking in my room WHEN I DONT EVEN SMOKE! whirl pool tub wouldn't hold water, weak jets. Light fixtures hanging out the ceiling. The pool was closed. The shower water took my wife's permanent hair dye out !!! Don't stay here unless you want to be out 400 dollars leave hungry and mad!!! read more

This hotel has had a real decline in quality in the last 6 months. I have stay at the hotel once a month for about 7 years. I have noticed a general decline in the breakfast. The eggs are tasteless. The meats are dry. The fresh fruit at breakfast has declined in quality. Requests for privacy have not been respected by housekeeping. Wake up calls were missed. Requested service or repairs not done. Despite repeated visits monthly, the desk staff has trouble finding my information when I arrive. Luckily I won't need to come here much longer. I would recommend the Best Western or Holiday Inn Express if you are coming to Coldwater. read more

I'd award 10 stars if possible. Thanks to Hannah, Annette, Brenda, et al for making a long stay so pleasant. The staff is always helpful and very responsive to all requests. read more

This hotel was excellent. The room was not only clean, but large and extremely comfortable. The best part of this particular Hampton Inn was the staff. The front desk was always polite and accommodating. Now the best part. When we arrived home, we realized we had left our hanging clothes in the closet of the hotel. When I called, Hannah not only verified that the hotel had the clothes, but agreed to ship them to us by UPS (of course, at our expense). You can't get much better than that! read more

This place is really excellent. Totally unexpected. Staying in Hillsdale visiting family. Drop into the Hampton Inn in Coldwater (apparently part of the Hilton family, and it shows). Everything is super clean and tasteful. Gym is excellent. People are nice. You couldn't ask for a better hotel: a) here in the middle of a pretty rural area and b) for such great prices- like 70-80 bucks for a night. read more

A few of my family members had made reservations to stay here for a wedding and the hotel seemed to be helping until apparently they realized a large sporting event was the same weekend. They went from accommodating to very rude. Not only was the manager Russ very rude to me on the phone, he felt it was necessary to lie as well when he was trying to tell me that they were sold out for one of the nights when all they were doing is restricting the stays to a minimum of two nights, not actually being sold out. While I understand they stand to make more money during a sporting event weekend, the last thing I need is the manager preaching to me how much money the hotel makes or loses at a given rate. I spend more time in hotels than I do in my own home and have never been treated like this. While I cannot say anything about the hotel itself, I can say that the "manager" is lacking in his customer service skills. read more
