Holy cow, why haven't I come here sooner? Located not far from Spraguebrook park, take a little day…read moretrip and get yaaself a great beer as a reward. We talked with Reanna and Michael about how they started their venture. Really nice couple and really nice business. It is worth the trip. There's a ton of comfortable seating whether you sit inside in front of the taps, in front of the window, at the comfy chairs, over in the book nook or outside, there's a great place to kick back and relax. I haven't even got to the beer yet. For a relatively new place (opened in September) they have their shit together. We tried the black IPA and the Citrice IPA. The Witches at black Masses was smoky and full of flavor. The Citrice was crisp and everything you'd like in an IPA. Amarillo hops are one of my favorite, and this beer didn't disappoint. For breweries I'd have to say the eclectic nature of this place, the beautiful countryside and the charisma of the owners make it a standout establishment. Besides the fact that they have a great selection of all kinds of beer. I even tried the Heffy and I liked that as well. Take a drive and make this a tasty rest stop. You won't be sorry...and don't forget to give Mabel a pat on the head.

Very cool brewery that also serves cocktails and a few small charcuterie boxes, cheeses, and other…read morejams & jellies. The atmosphere is very cool and ecclectic with a masculine, antique, lodge vibe. The beers are tasty, and a few are very unique with green pepper cream ale and black IPA. I really enjoyed all of the samples I had, and I ended up purchasing the harvest spice seltzer. It was crisp and a little more like a cider than a seltzer. The owners are personable, and you can tell they are excited to have this new business open and gaining popularity. They will be open to small private event too, which is great if you live in the area.

Castaway's Waterfront Bar & Grill - Medium wings again not crispy and barely saucy. Alot of grease at the bottom of the tray

Location: 4 / 5 Following up Johnson's Landing with Castaways, we went back-to-back on the two best sunset views of any wing restaurants in WNY. It was a Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood. Emily, our waitress was also very attentive and helpful. One downside was the bathroom - and that's all I have to say about that. Presentation: 3 / 5 Providing ample carrots and celery along with a solid blue cheese helped save this score but you aren't going to make a Splash with paper and plastic trays. Meat: 5 / 5 Perfect size with no weird shapes or bones. One small observation, there were a disproportionate number of drums over flats - we thought the two went hand-in-hand, like Bosom Buddies. Cook: 9.5 / 10 This score is Big. These were crispy, and hot. Almost impossible to criticize. Standard Wing: 12 Nice flavor. These had more buttery taste than we're used to but not in an unpleasant way at all. We don't know how you do That Thing You Do, but keep doing it. The only downsize was that they were a tad under-sauced. Specialty Wing: 9 Excellent showing here overall. They're truly in A League of Their Own - Hot gold was a favorite. - Hot wing was also great but as has become typical, we wished the medium was the hot. - Garlic parm was... interesting. If you like garlic, pucker up. - Everything wing was unique with each bite a little different. You never know what you're going to get. Overall, what a pleasant surprise. I can't believe I doubted you Castaways. Wilson, I'm sorry! 42.5 / 50
