Absolutely loved this little wine spot tucked away in Blowing Rock. All my friends were shopping til they dropped and I opted for a wine break. I was delighted by the white sangria which was cold and refreshing. I didn't ask what was in it (silly me) but it tasted like Chardonnay. The atmosphere was super relaxing. I sat back in a big, comfy chair, the kind you sink down into, and sipped my sangria. There were two servers running the place and keeping up other the many other patrons that stopped by. Sweet little wine shop in downtown Blowing Rock that has a huge selection of wines to pick from. We did a flight, the sweet one, and every wine was really good, although my favorite was the blueberry. We were greeted as soon as we walked in. When we brought the flight to our table, he gave a quick overview of each wine and flavor to expect. Each tasted exactly as he described! We come to this place every time we were in Blowing Rock which is once a month. Very convenient location near the main strip and city park. Seating is usually available which is a plus. The wine selection is great. What I don't like is how stingy they are with wi-fi. There is absolutely no service in this establishment and they do not make their Wi-fi available to patrons. It makes it very inconvenient if you have older kids at the park or are waiting on a dinner reservation confirmation. We have to leave early every time because of this. Wish they would spring for the extra $200 a month to provide this to people spending money at their establishment. read more

Sunset & vine is one of my go to places for wine. They have a constantly rotating wine tasting selection (red, white, mixed, and bubbly's) and a large variety of bottles of wine. They also have a small selection of cured meats, cheese and crackers to make your own charcuterie board. What an adorable spot! My husband and I stopped here for a flight and a few glasses of wine. This place is casual yet the people working here seem very knowledgeable, and I saw many of them helping people who came in to pick out a bottle from the shelves. Along with our wine, we had some cheese and crackers from the food area which a member of the staff kindly prepared for us. Someone came by to check on us, but otherwise we were able to relax and enjoy. We eventually snagged an outdoor seat which was perfect for people watching and enjoying the vibe of the town. I'm so glad we made a stop here. The wine selection was nice, and it had an ideal atmosphere for enjoying the town. read more

My wife and I enjoyed this little gem in Blowing Rock while on vacation. It is walking distance from the middle of downtown. It has a large variety of wines, but on this warm day we both had the Red Sangria. It was delightful! We selected a package of cheese, crackers and meat. The employee there was so friendly, pleasant and helpful. Because the weather was so nice, we sat outside on the front porch. We were not asked for any form of payment. She brought us our sangria, went inside and prepared our charcuterie board, and brought it to us. She checked on us a few times and then took our payment when we were done. We enjoyed our board (which we made lunch from) and people-watched while relaxing in the shade. It was a perfect afternoon. read more

Wonderful little wine shop and tasting room! The woman we had serve us was amazing and had great recommendations. We so enjoyed talking to her about Napa Valley wineries. They had a great selection and are very reasonably priced. The shop looks like a historic cottage and you can either sit inside or outside on the porch. I visited this cute spot in a weekend trip to Boone and wow, this pal e did not disappoint. It's like a coffee shop but for wine. They have a cute seating area and many different types of wine to choose. They offer wine flights: red flight, white flight, or a mix that come with 5 "taste" each for $10. We both chose the mixed and might i say i was def feeling the wine once I finished. The service was great and the ladies were very knowledgeable about the wines as well as their origins. I will say the wines offered in the flights are not sweet so if you're a sweet wine or moscato drinker this is not the flight for you. If you visit take your time to see what they have to offer before you select a glass. I would definitely return! read more

When in Blowing Rock, visit this glorious wine and cheese shop. Tastings are offered for $9 and you have the pleasure of sampling five different wines. I'm a novice when it comes to wine, but I can say in full confidence that each wine was unique and flavorful. In the back of the shop, there's a cooler filled with meats and cheeses for purchase. We bought two cheeses and two meats. The staff unwraps them and presents them on a cutting board with a sharp cheese knife. These pair perfectly with the wines offered during the tasting. Wine was amazing and service was pretty great too. The wife is super sweet and attentive. Husband was not super friendly at first because I think he was overwhelmed. Stopped in here and met the owner Christopher. He was very friendly and nice. He gave us our own private tasting - is it bad that we started drinking at 11am? We must have tasted about 6 or 7 wines. We knew a lot and was very nice about sharing his knowledge in an easy and pleasant manner. We bought a few bottles and enjoyed lingering in the store for about 2 hours. My husband and I went to Sunset and Vine today and absolutely loved it. Wish we had stayed longer here instead of going next door. The folks who we believed to have been the owners were very sweet and accommodating. We sat at a high top table in the front window. My husband got the red flight and I had a glass of the blueberry muscadine. All very delicious. We ended up getting a bottle of the muscadine and my husband bought a bottle of his favorite from the flight (which was a Cabernet). This place was recommended to us by my brother and we are so glad we went! We will definitely be back and will recommend it to our friends and family as well! read more

Adorable little store! We sat at a long table with several other guests and tried the wines for the day. We bought a couple blocks of cheese and some crackers to snack on while we satires the wines. Very knowledgable staff and passionate about everything wine! I wish the store was bigger and more like a bar, but the small atmosphere keeps it comfy and intimate. $9 for a wine tasting is too much, especially when this is a wine store that doesn't have their own brand and has very little selection of local N.C. wines. Most of the wines I looked at on wine shelf were from California and priced above what they should be. Has far as cheese? What cheese, there was literally 3 packages of cheese in cooler that is really not well placed as it is tucked through a doorway in back. There was a tiny piece of some cheese I never heard of that was about a half in wide by maybe 3 inches square that was $14. If you want a better wine tasting experience, go to one of the many wineries in the area. read more

The location is a good respite from the activity on Main Street but the owner made a point of telling us they close in 45 min when I said we came for a glass of wine. There were only two of us so I was confident we could make the window of time work. Her response was ok, what do u want. I asked could we have a seat first, imagining I not she wanted us standing in the middle of the facility. Not very welcoming at all. Also, only one type of wine by glass for each style. Sharon welcomed us an asked about our wine interests within the conversation instead of telling us what wine we should buy. The wines she suggested were spot on to our preference and well priced. Even though we did not participate in one of the offered wine tastings, we spoke with folks who did and they gave it high marks. The shop is small and comfortable with a good selection of wines.
