    Nice flight of beers!
    Katelyn D.

Great brewery! We stopped here while in the area to ski! The place was previously called Flat Top Mountain Brewery, but they said they rebranded about a year ago, but seems to be taking time to switch over online. The brewery is open and has tables, high tops, couches and the bar. It's a good size so I bet gets busy, we were there late on a Thursday night before the holiday weekend so it was all locals. You can tell they all come here frequently and know each other which was nice & we quickly made new friends. They also allow dogs inside which is always nice. They had a good selection of beers and a good range (thank you for not having 12 IPAs). We got a flight 4 and a cider. All had great tastes and were well balanced. Great stop - causal vibe, friendly staff and guests and great beer!! You'll feel at home!

Came across this place while searching for wineries and brews. Everyone loved the Kolsch. The sweet chili wings were very tasty but needed a tad longer cook. The pretzel with the cheese and spicy mustard or whatever other dip you may want. Pretty darn good. The pizza comes with 2 diff crusts - both yummy . The lady behind the counter super sweet. So glad we have this place a try !!!

Some friends and I stopped by here while waiting to go on the Alpine Ski Coaster. It's very unassuming from the front, so don't miss it. There were two or three picnic tables outside and then additional tables inside. Given COVID, we sat outdoors. There were 10 or so beers on draft. It looked like two were variants on the same beer. I think I got a stout. My friends and I agreed the beer wasn't too memorable, but it's worth a stop if you're in the little town of Banner Elk.

This brewery is definitely worth a visit if you are in Banner Elk. We had our dog so we had to sit on the small patio. I tried a flight and a pint and enjoyed the beers. The kolsch is definitely one of their more popular beers and I can see why.

We stopped in and tried the Blueberry Cheesecake Panda. It was delicious. A great stop for some interesting beer.

We stopped in and tried the Blueberry Cheesecake Panda. It was delicious. A great stop for some interesting beer. The place is not much inside. There is a little food offerings but we did not try any. They have some cans you can buy but we like the beer out of the tap beer.

I LOVED this place! I definitely recommend it if you're in the Banner Elk area. Beer: DELICIOUS! I had the kolsch (per a prev Yelper's recommendation) as well as the imperial IPA. Both were great! Beertender: she was delightful, personable, and happy to make suggestions. Building/Parking: the main area was just the right size. It also has a game room in the back. There are a couple of tables in front for outdoor seating options. I did not have the need to check out the bathroom, so I cannot report on those. Overall, I most definitely say CHECK IT OUT!

Stopped in on a quiet afternoon in November. Very relaxing, especially after partaking in the pizza and 4-sample flight I ordered. All 4 brews were good, but the Crabby Louie IPA was the one that really stood out. Great flavor and very smooth. In a way, it reminded me of some of the really good white wines I've tasted in Germany. Strange but true. I'm just sorry I bought only one 4-pack home as a souvenir. An exceptionally good IPA.

    Great selection of beer!

Simple, great food, great service, fun games to pass the time. We tried the BBQ wings with ranch and the pretzEl with cheddar cheese. Today there was a special on $6 pizza and a lot of people were enjoying that...we scarfed down our wings and pretzel. Tried the Copper Penny (Amber Ale) and the Kolsch. Good beer! The bartender gave great advice to replace our dream of a lager (the Kolsch). We played all the games, pinball, shuffleboard, darts, Ginormous Connect Four and Jenga. We had our 18 y/o with us and had a lot of fun and laughter.

Family friendly assuming your kids are 21 or over . We enjoyed it. Owner was very nice and gave treats to our dog. Beer was delicious. Tried the two IPAs and the Kolsch. Go there. Buy a shirt

Fantastic beers top to bottom, and the best pizza within ten miles. Limited menu of pizza, boneless wings and soft pretzels, all delicious. Locally owned and operated with care. Four packs or growlers to go. Plenty of outdoor seating, too. Our go-to spot in Banner Elk!

Great brewery! We found this tasty treat on the way back from skiing Sugar Mtn. The Stout and Winter were amazing. We tried many breweries while in town (visiting from CT) and this was in our top 2!!! Don't miss it or Kristen the bartender (she was great and knew the beers!)! We will be back!!

Always a nice quiet place to just have a beer and relax. I recommend their pizza as well. Very friendly staff and never super busy.

Is there a location to watch the football games with my dog? I know you used to be able to bring a dog inside, but I'm not sure if they still allow that or if they have put TVs outside?

Not sure about bringing dogs inside but def outside is allowed. I've been twice during the pandemic, last time being early December, and there was no TV outside.

We found parking on a side street near Blowing Rock Brewing, so decided to enjoy a drink and get some lunch. We were seated quickly, near a heater, which was nice to help us warm up after being on the mountain. A waiter came by with menus to take our order. We asked for some suggestions, but he was a little less than enthused to offer advise. They had a good variety of beers, so my wife and I each got one, and shared them. We got the Pina Colada Kolsch and the Cloud Rise Hazy Ipa. Both were tasty, the Pina Colada Kolsch had a much stronger pineapple flavor than I expected, but in a good way. For food we started with the white cheddar poblano, which I expected to be more of a liquid queso for some reason. It was instead for of a soft, spread, which was really good, and paired well with the chips. And then we split the Turkey Reuben, which I figured would be made with deli meat, instead, it was warm, cooked chunks of turkey, really great flavor, and hit the spot for us. The sides with the sandwiches were a bit lacking, only offering hot chips, and green beans....I've never gotten the whole hot chip craze, but green beans just seamed like too odd of a side option for a sandwich It was a good visit, and a good meal, to get us back on our feet. Overall, a nice space, with bar seating, a back room, a back and front patio, plenty of space to hang out, relax and enjoy their beer. Food and drink were both good and worth a visit if you're in the area.
