Exactly what you would expect from a laundromat in this area of South Florida. It is in a strip mall which includes a family dollar, pharmacy and grocery. This is an ethnic area with carribean influences. Parking is on the side of the building and there is plenty of it.
It has been painted and decorated in the last few years and was fairly clean, but you can tell that this laundromat was aged with the wear and tear of the years.
It doesn't have doors in the front, just an open bay. There was a big fan blowing in the front. I went in the early morning hours when it was cool. And luckily there was a slight drizzle which gave a little breeze. Otherwise this place would have been sweltering hot. As hot as it was, I sat outside on the few red benches which were provided while writing this review.
The washers were $2.50 per load, but I don't think they did a very good job in the spin cycle because the clothes seemed a little extra damp when I pulled them out. The newer dryers were $1.50 for 35 minutes, but what I found is the older dryers gave me 30 minutes for only $.75.
From what I can tell, they do a laundry service although I didn't see any signs promoting the service or a fee schedule.
The only really bad thing I noticed was they have a restroom but it is locked and says employees only. I am pretty sure they are violating some code with that one. But it may just be a precaution for the area they are in. read more
