Apple fritter, glazed donuts and peanuts with maple glazed.
Hoa N.

A nice quiet and clean donut shop tucked in a corner of a small strip mall in Bloomington. Found this place by accident when going to Chan Oriental Market for Asian groceries. Prices are reasonable and friendly service. Although, the donuts have a strong oil smell and taste. This is the only place I could find that has real peanuts on maple glazed donuts which are my husband's most favorite kind.

Very saddening, I saw all the photos online and was super excited to try. I get here and they are completely sold out of raised donuts by 9:35 AM. They're open until noon, but didn't bake anymore. I don't see longevity within this establishment due to lack of fulfillment. They old had cake donuts left.

I love finding new donut shops to check out. This one's been on my list for a while! So glad I went to check it out! They have a good variety of flavors and styles. Cake, raised, jelly filled, cream filled, you name it. I went at 630am and there were plenty of options...however they do close early if they sell out! I ordered the Bavarian cream filled, the maple glazed long John, and a white frosted cake donut (can't go wrong there!). All were so good. They had blueberry glazed, coconut shaved topping, strawberry filled, Apple fritters, so many options that I NEED to go back and try!

Best doughnuts in the Twin Cities! And NOT closed as someone falsely stated below!! Better than Bogarts, Glam Doll, and other popular places.

Hidden on the side of a strip mall is this gem of a bakery. This is the type of place that closes at noon or closes earlier if they sell out. It's a very simple interior with just a couple tables to enjoy your treats, most people grab and go. The donuts are flavorful and you always can count on finding something you like. The staff are so kind and helpful. I am all about service and this place goes above and beyond.

Mmmmm! Look at this wonderful goodness! Brand new customer for life! Love this donut shop!

I'm a fist time customer! I love the donuts! You now have a customer for life! The apple fritters are sooooo good!

Best donuts in the Twin Cities. Get there early as they sell out. (Any really good donut place sells out before closing!)

Worst homemade doughnuts ever! I'd rather get my doughnuts from cub foods. They were so dry . Don't even bother.

Old school classic donut shop. Nothing special, and it was kind of dirty and dingy inside. The place could use a coat of paint for sure.

Terrible donuts, Cub grocery store has better donuts. I threw away my donuts and left my coffee for them. Service is lousy too.

She was trying to be very helpful in my selection. It was a large slice cut into a thick triangle with a single thin red swirl through it. I have no idea what that was, and I tasted no cinnamon, just cardamom, another spice I love, but it was dry and lacked enough flavor to be satisfying, so I wouldn't order it again. I should have had a custard-filled Bismarck instead!

I decided to pay a visit on a cold rainy day, it was the perfect day to do so. I had major sweet bread cravings and they were fulfilled. I grabbed a tray, selected conchas and salty bread. When I went to pay I noticed they also had Atole (a Mexican hot drink). I asked for a strawberry flavored Atole and OMG! It was perfect and hot. They sell a small selection of grocery products for your convenience and Mexican food as well, deli style. The tamales looked good, they were selling fast when I was there. This bakery is very clean and the bread is baked daily. The conchas are REALLY good here. I also purchased a bread that inside had cheese and jalapeños, this is one of my favorites and they NAILED IT. I got two of those and it's easy to prep breakfast, I stuff it with scrambled eggs and done-- got myself a breakfast sandwich! Prices are also very reasonable. Glad this area has a bakery like this! It has all you wished a bakery offered: tamales, atole, cakes, delicious pan dulce and great customer service!

The Sarah cake with it's pistachios, eclairs that aren't soggy, strawberry Napoleans, etc... The hardest part is choosing. I want to buy 20 but settle for 2. There is free parking but this place is located in a strip mall, so it does make it harder to find a spot. The service here was interesting. The "shift lead" seemed very confused ringing us up. It was as if he had never used the computer before. He also seemed frazzled. It really wasn't busy, so I'm not sure what was going on. Later, when we were seated, he did come and clean up our table and I did see him talking with others guests. We got really excited when we walked in because all of the desserts looked so good! Unfortunately this is where is really took a nose dive. The lemon tart was good but the crust was so hard we couldn't even cut into it. The cheesecake and tiramisu had bland flavors and the textures were so off putting... not what you would expect from a place that looked like this. Thor is indoor and outdoor seating. The ambiance is supposed to be French but it didn't feel very French. It was very dark in indoor part and outdoors had lighting but they seemed to be just thrown up and many of the light bulbs were out. All around I would not recommend this place to anyone, especially when there are amazing bakeries around the area

Kari's Rating 9/10…read more Stumbled upon this place around brunch time on a Saturday and as expected, most of the pastries were sold out, meaning this place is really good and a lot of people do wait when this bakery opens. As we weren't sure what our lunch plans were, so we loaded up on 5 beautiful pastries, and got a variety, including their cinnamon roll, their ham and cheese croissant, an Ispahan croissant and an iced coffee topped off with a hot London fog. They were out of the butter almond croissant, so the worker kindly came over to our table and said I could pick something else. I ended up going with the cinnamon roll as I wanted to balance my savory ham and cheese croissant with something sweet. Wow, it is good! They add this extra sugarcoat glaze on the top that makes all the pastries shine, which I thought was an extra special touch that they made an effort to make the pastries extra beautiful. Because we ordered five pastries, it came in this really cute little white and black ribboned pastry box! Knowing they only have 18 pastries-and at 11 AM realizing they were out of most of them, no wonder they got voted best pastries in the Twin Cities! Since I am somewhat of a bakery connoisseur, I always judge their pastries off their ham and cheese croissant as it is one of my absolute favorites I get every chance I get. This bakery ham and cheese croissant had a good ratio of ham and cheese to the size the pastry. It was quite large and I realized I didn't even have room for the cinnamon roll. However, I've had flakier lighter crispy croissants at my hometown bakery, and I would have liked it to be a tad lighter between layers and less bread doughy as you can see in the pictures. Nonetheless, I ate the entire thing! Proving it was still delicious. This is definitely a place you should stop by if you're ever in the area, but make sure you get here early if you want all the variety! Bonus, as we were coming out, the bakers brought out this 3ft custard dough ball caramel glue structure out for a customers wedding cake. The worker helped put it in the car and as far as we know, it made it to its destination. See pics for an incredible wedding dough ball surprise. I can only imagine how long it took to make this structure as well as how expensive it must be considering this bakery only has two locations and everything was absolutely delicious.
