Saw this boba place a few months ago when they had just opened and given the location kind of inside a garage was hesitant to try. However, after hearing some friends in California rave about it I decided to give it a shot today! Tried out the coconut mango milk tea with brown sugar boba. Was a little skeptical given the combination of coconut and mango, but it proved quite good! First couple sips the mango felt a little strong which I have mixed feelings about. My new fav place to get boba! The space is kinda small so it can get pretty crowded but, wait time is quick. There is a kiosk at the entryway where you place your order. I got the taro milk tea (1/2 sweet) with brown sugar boba. They use fresh taro purée here and you can taste the tea flavor. Other boba places use taro powder which isn't bad, but it can't beat real. They have a self check-out kiosk or you can order ahead of time if you want to avoid the busy crowd. I went here for grand opening with some friends on Saturday. I normally do not go to these grand openings because the lines are always very long (it is long) but I was able to join the line when I arrived. Also, Sunright is fairly popular in SoCal where I am from, so I decided to try how this fares compared to the other locations down there. The line does go really slow and I have heard people line up for over an hour for drinks. There is a BOGO promotion, and there are 50 VIP cards with stainless steel bottle for $19.95 released each day. I did not opt for the VIP card purchase as UDistrict is far enough for me and I do not want to get 1 boba drink a day for a week as my diet will be gone. I personally tried the oreo brulee boba milk with less ice and 75% sweetness and it was the right amount of sweetness. However, keep in mind this is accounting for the fact that I got this purely as dessert, not as a drink, so the sugar level can be adjusted down as needed. I enjoyed the subtle oreo flavor and the creme within the drink (which you will need to shake a bit to mix it - shake 17 times, as the slogan says). The boba itself is okay - the texture is not as chewy as I hoped, at least comparing to the standards of Sunright Tea locations in SoCal. I guess they are probably working on getting into the groove of things so time will tell. read more

Last time I ordered the Cheese foam grape jasmine tea, somehow they put a slice of grapefruit inside, which taste really wired. So this time I asked them not to put it in, one of their cashier apologized for me said that was not supposed to be like that. I ordered 2 drinks: qq milk tea and oreo brûlée. I waited 20 MINUTES for my drink. There were 2 people at the bar and it took 20 minutes. They even messed up the milk tea once. In the end, the Oreo brûlée tasted like chocolate milk. I threw it away. Milk tea was average, but the jelly was so hard that I couldn't drink it so there was no point in adding it into my drink. The location in California was SOO GOOD and they were even at Head in the Clouds making addictive drinks but this location just sucks I guess. read more

Not a great experience. The staff doesn't say anything to you besides your name when they call your drink. I went here because it was highly recommended online but I would not recommend it. We got the taro frostie (0/10) and the strawberry matcha (5/10). $17 and they're getting thrown away. Don't yell at me is WAY better! read more

You really can't mess up a creme brulee oolong tea, and they definitely didn't. I would say that because the base, the tea, is both simple and basic, you have to have a really good creme brulee top - and it is amazing. The boba had just enough sweetness and was chewy enough, the tea was as good as an oolong should be, but again, the creme brulee was the best I've had so far. I went with 100% sweetness, because I like sweet stuff, and it was the right choice. Service was standard and the staff was accommodating. It's more of a grab-and-go type place - not really many places to sit, but the inside is neat and clean. read more

I had the ceylon milk tea with boba and no sugar. A lot of places offer this option but the milk tea end up tasting super diluted. This is not the case with Sunright. I really like the quality of there milk tea! Definitely better than a lot of other popular boba spots. read more

I was super excited to try Sunright and it did not disappoint! I like their ordering system and the staff are quick with preparing drinks. I tried both their milk tea and fruit tea, both were delicious. As for most boba places, I would recommend getting your drinks less sweet. There is no seating inside Sunright except for a bench to wait for your drink, it's strictly a to-go place. The ambiance was nice and bright and staff was super friendly, will definitely be returning! Also love how it's located right outside of Trader Joe's, a great treat after any shopping trip. read more

my favorite boba spot!!!! they have a wide variety of drinks. i've tried many of the drinks including matcha oolong, jasmine gmt, oolong mt, wintermelon, and some fruit teas and they're honestly all so good!! the quality of the drinks are very consistent. i like that they have self-order and that you can also order online for pick up but whenever i've had interactions with the staff, they have all been nice! my favorite topping is the honey boba!!! i loveee it. and i like they have unique toppings like the mochi(although i find it hard to drink through the straw). i also love how they have promotional deals and i've gotten coasters and a plushie from them! i hope they do more so i can have more sunright merch. it is always clean inside and i love that there is a parking garage and also next to a trader joe's so my trips there are always very convenient and easy. read more
