What is this, a menu for ants? The font size is TINY- they could've split up the menu on the two screens, but no. Bring your specs or squint! You can order on a tablet which also shows descriptions of the drinks, or you can order with one of the bobaristas. I got the Oreo brûlée boba milk, 50% sweet, less ice. Online ordering was extremely easy, and the drinks were ready in less than 10 minutes after you place the order, even though the estimated time is 20 to 25 minutes. Sunright done right or Sunright done wrong? That is the question. Whether or not Shakespeare would have enjoyed boba if such shops existed back in the 17th century, he might appreciate seeing a shop where the interior pays tribute to him...or at least the first syllable. I don't know why, but I just wasn't having a good day. After a shopping trip that took me all over town, I needed a pick-me-up before making my way home. Sunright was just a block further away from my last stop, so I figured why not make it my actual last stop? lol Sunright Tea Studio is located on the southwest corner of South and Norwalk, replacing Nest Tea. I had been to Nest Tea a couple times before, and on my third visit, I was surprised that they had closed for good! I never saw it coming, but on that visit, I noticed Sunright Tea Studio was going to take over that spot. It took several months even after Sunright opened before I finally made my way back to the exact same location. Surprisingly enough, I still had the Nest Tea stamp card in my wallet, so I went in and asked if it could be put to good use even after the fact. Isabelle was at the front and regretfully told me they don't accept Nest Tea stamp cards even though she also mentioned that Sunright bought Nest Tea, much to the surprise of one of her co-workers. So much for my stamp card then, but Isabelle did mention they do have a rewards program that you can sign up upon payment of your first drink. I just had to enter my phone number and tap "Claim Rewards". Anyhow, the interior of Sunright doesn't look a whole lot different than Nest Tea, so if you've been to Nest Tea before and miss that shop, walking right into Sunright may remind you of the good times you've had there. What really stood out for me was the "SHAKE 17 TIMES" sign on the left wall. Why 17? Just because Shakespeare lived in that century? Probably not, but whatever the reason, I made sure to shake exactly 17 times before enjoying my drink. What drink did I get? It took a while to decide because they have quite a lot of choices shown on the TV monitor high above the order counter. The Original Tea caught my eye because it's the only drink that is less than $4. When I asked Isabelle about that, she said it was just the tea itself; it would not have any milk inside. Okay, that sounds like any other cup of tea I could get at any coffee shop, so that's a pass for me. A couple months ago, I took part in a Yelp Elite Experience (YEE) at a boba shop in Downey where I tried a flight of three milk teas and a green apple lemonade. Amongst the three milk teas I tried, the Thai Milk Tea was the best, and it was one of the next cheapest options on the menu, so I went with that. They had a few other Milk Teas like Ceylon and Oolong, but I didn't know what either was, and I certainly didn't want to be that annoying customer who asks about everything, so I just went with the Thai Milk Tea. There are options for boba like brown sugar, honey, and agar boba, the last of which I've never heard, but it is a dime less than the first two listed. After I asked Isabelle to describe the boba they offered, that's when I said, "Honey Boba Thai Milk Tea" before I realized I recited my order out of order. Whoops! lol Isabelle then asked what sweetness and ice level I'd like. I didn't know what options there were, so I dubiously answered "25 percent?? For both??" Yup, it worked! She then asked me for my name, and she initially heard "Jack". Am I really having that bad of a day?? I had to show her my name on my credit card so she could enter it correctly. After paying, I asked Isabelle how long I'd have to wait. I was speculating 5 minutes because I saw several other customers inside. To my surprise, she said only a minute. I wasn't attentive enough to remember if they were still waiting for their orders or if they had already gotten their orders, but even more to my surprise, it took 30 seconds before she called my name to let me know my Thai Milk Tea was ready! The Thai Milk Tea wasn't exactly the best, but I wouldn't say it was done wrong as mentioned in the intro of this review. I used to go 50% sweet, but decided to go lower since I'm trying to watch my sugar intake. Unfortunately, maybe that was the reason why the Thai Milk Tea wasn't as good as from the YEE in Downey, so I won't ding them for that. However, what I will ding them for is the inconsistency of the boba. Some were QQ, but others weren't cooked long enough. It wasn't that bothersome for me, but just be aware of this if you are particular about how your boba is cooked. The milk tea was more like 3 stars instead of 4, but Isabelle provided good enough customer service to bump the rating up to 4. Getting my drink in less than a minute helped as well. So to answer the first question, Sunright was done right, but not totally right. Nevertheless, I'm down to make a return visit sooner rather than later and try a different drink. This location has pretty easy parking. There's about four tables inside. It's a self ordering tablet, this moved along pretty quickly, except for one party ahead of us who seemed like it was their first visit because they wanted to read every page and they didn't have the monitors on overhead so they couldn't review the menu before they got to the order tablet. I ordered a wintermelon tea and did less sweet and I thought the tea flavor came through really nice. My drink was prepared quickly. Came here on their BOGO grand opening deal. This store does not has a kiosk where you order yourself, like other sunright stores. The worker that helped us was very friendly and helpful. I got the wintermelon tea with honeyboba and hubby got oolong milk tea with brown sugar boba. We had a small problem with both our drinks. The honeymoon was not consistent and some boba were very hard and some were very soft and some was just right. It feels like they made it in different batches and mixed it together. And as for hubby's drink his oolong milk tea was very light and he did not adjust any ice or sugar yet his drink was warm and all the ice was melted after he shook the drink. I'm over the moon that Sunright is in Artesia!!! Been waiting for them to open since November (rip Nest, you will be missed). Currently, there is no kiosk order like other Sunright locations. They took your orders and write on each cup, so it took a while for ordering and getting the drink. The line can be long during the weekend. Hopefully, they can get kiosk soon and that would help a lot with waiting time. Last time, I ordered online and it was ready in 5 min (must be because it was on Monday). Fun new boba chain that all my friends are trying. Literally had 3 different drinks with friends before I even made it inside the cafe, within a span of a week that I visited CA. And they're in very convenient locations, inside food plazas and supermarkets. The crème brûlée series is their specialty and I'm hooked! My foodie friend called it "dessert in a cup," and she's right! I like that you can customize it to "no ice" and all other adjustments you could think of. It's a definite new tea spot for me. It's still not close to some of my favorites that are far but I do enjoy that their drinks aren't too sweet. I always appreciate it that you taste more tea than the milk or sweetness. I know not many will feel the same but I would still have you try this place. Their milk teas are good quality, their frosties are have great consistency compared to other boba spots (other places can sometimes be chalky or icy, but Sunright does it consistently well), and their toppings are always solid / fresh. This is my go-to boba spot around the Cerritos/Artesia area. Fast af service (order online for even faster boba woot). Love that someone usually mans the front to help people who want to order the kiosk or order with a live person! They really are the fastest boba around and have some of the best quality drinks. They also keep your drink in the fridge in case you order online and don't show up right when the drink is prepared :-) Sunright has really good quality tea IMO! Pretty potent, aromatic, and flavorful. Some of my favorite drinks is any of their jasmine teas. My go-to drink is their Strawberry GT w agar boba, 100% sweet and always less-ice. I'd give it a 9/10! Their drinks are not extremely sweet (I usually get 75% and most places). For the teas you can definitely taste the tea flavor and not just all the sweet stuff. Their milk tea's are also decent, but I much rather prefer their milkless versions. My go to MT is Ceylon black MT regular sweet with agar boba. I would give it an 8/10 Oh and their Frosties are pretty good too. I am not always in the mood for it, but when I want it, it HITS. The taro one especially yummmmm. The taro they use (even when ordered as an MT drink) is fresh and not just syrup. Parking can be bad as the lot is small and half the spots are compact. --Here's the end of my actual review-- I keep a list on my phone of other drinks I've tried here lol, here is my reviews. [] Sunright Fruit Tea w agar boba: 6/10 -- I think this fruit tea is popular but my big complaint is that it's hard to get to the stuff on the bottom. There's so much fruit and stuff from the "sunright fruit tea" floating in the middle of the cup that I can't easily poke the bottom of my cup to get the boba's. And sometimes I like to lift my straw to get stuff near the top of the cup like the foam or whatever froth might be floating. The bunch of fruit floating makes that difficult. [] Winter melon tea 100% sweet: 6.5/10 -- if you like wintermelon flavor, this is good. But for me the taste gets a bit tiring after getting to the middle of the cup. [] Honey Blossom Black tea 100% sweet: 7.5/10 -- perfect sweetness and also a bit bitter (naturally from the black tea) which is a good thing IMO. I'm not even sure why in 2022 I set a goal to limit my boba intake when I already knew that wasn't going to happen. I was kidding myself as there was no way I was going to order boba only 2x this month, and then continue that trend for the rest of the year. And Sunright ensured that this so called goal was not going to stick as after trying their Frosty, I have yet another solid boba place to add to my list and tempt me to visit again and again. Thanks to the 1 hour wait at Aikan (yep, that's pretty normal on a weekend) and an empty belly, the stars aligned and I found myself at Sunright across the street. Even though it's pretty new, it seems like the Artesia community was excited for the arrival of this boba chain since they were pretty busy. The menu included boba milks, fruit teas with cheese foam, and more but my friend mentioned that the Frosties were her go to drink and so I decided to go with the Mango Frosty! When it came out I was surprised to see that it came with jasmine tea jelly which I honestly thought was a strange topping initially to pair with mango, but it was actually really great! The frosty had a smooth slushy consistency but not too icy and it was super refreshing too. Next time I'm going to try their other ones, perhaps the strawberry one too! The drinks got the 5 stars easily but the only area of improvement was their ordering process. There were cashiers who took the order but it was hard to communicate with them through the plexiglass (which I understand is there for safety) so I would just recommend them to speak louder and be more clear. Not sure if they have online ordering but I wouldn't mind using that option too in the future if they offer it. There is no lack of sweet tea shops in our locale. This is one of the newer shops and they distinguish their teas from other places using what they call a cheese foam. Ordering is super easy using a touchscreen device, you can personalize and customize your drink in any variety of ways. Got myself the crème brûlée with boba drink and regular ice but half sweet. It was refreshing without being cloyingly sweet. The daughter always wants the full 100% sugar fix, she got the strawberry frosty drink and also added boba to her drink. The wall says to shake it! It's completely sealed when you get it so you can do a side to side , up and down or swirl around shake to get the drink mixed up before punching it with the boba sized straw ( there's nothing worse than getting a boba stuck midway up those straws and this is exactly the right diameter for the boba. They have a loyalty rewards program so today's drinks were freebies! Very friendly and efficient super young people mixed and served the drinks. read more

Yum! Glad there is a Sunright in the neighborhood now (RIP Nest Teahouse). I've tried the strawberry jasmine tea w agar boba and the strawberry matcha latte w oat milk and honey boba and both have been great! Heads up, you cannot adjust the sweetness on the strawberry matcha (I'm presuming bc of the strawberry purée). The agar boba was interesting - hard to describe its texture besides that it's not as sticky or chewy as honey boba haha. For one of my transactions I had ordered 4 drinks and they forgot to do one of them, so I had to wait for them to do it during a busy time. It was about 20 mins from walking in and out... not ideal but I know the staff tried their best during a busy time. Other transactions have been totally fine and are quick! read more

We got the yogurt orange and the oolong milk tea with drinkable mochi (which is available even though I couldn't find it at first glance on the menu).
