I asked him if his sole job was to hold the hand of every mature adult with a college degree; he said that's what he's paid for. In effect, another living wage for doing nothing. I could tell the conveyor belt was faster than usual, and the results reflected it. My car was not completely dried, the inside glass was streaked, the outside glass was spotted, and in general a rather poor job. Seriously thought about going through the line again to make sure they did it right the second time, but my time is valuable and i had things to do.

I decided to order the part myself because it was almost half the price. I made sure that I ordered the correct part, looked up the make, model, VIN #. It came and when he installed it, my car did work but as soon as the speed exceeded 45mph the steering wheel would aggressively shake and would not go any faster. I could not even drive to work on John Mosby. So of course, I took it back to them. They told me that the part was incorrect and I should have gotten it with them. They told me I would need to pay for labor again if I were to order the part with them. Not having any other option and needing a car for my daily life, I agreed and paid for them to order the part + the labor (again). I've gone back and forth with them so many times, each time they said they "fixed my car" the problem persisted. They were becoming upset that I jAlthough the shaking did improve a bit, it was still there. And it wasn't light shaking, i'm talking hard jolts from side to side while driving. I went to 3 other mechanics, they said whatever they did to my car was completely incorrect and uncalled for. On top of that, it was time for my emissions to be renewed and Gum Spring Auto said that I would need to spend around $1000 for it to pass since it couldn't without fixing it. Finally I got some common sense and took the L and went to another mechanic. I took my car to Stone Springs auto and it passed without anything needing to be fixed. They said all I needed was my check engine light to not be on, which it wasn't. These people have no idea what they are doing. I wouldn't trust them with an oil change. It was not busy because there was a slight drizzle, overcast, and 45° temps. You would think with just a few cars to work on, that they would maybe put some extra focus on your car when you bought a top-of-the-line wash package. Not so. My niece's car is a Subaru outback, and aside from some mud in the doorsill and just usual dust and debris from sitting unused in the driveway while she studies abroad, it was in great shape. I just wanted a little spruce up. When they were done with the 10 minute time it took, I see fingerprints on the dash display, fingerprints on the rearview mirror, the cupholder wasn't even wiped out, dirt and mud still in the doors, and dust still on parts of the dash and interior door handles, and the second row leather seats weren't even wiped. It looks like a very cursory wipe inside and a vacuum to the mats. Because it was drizzling, they didn't even have to wipe the exterior very well yet they couldn't focus even five extra minutes of attention on the interior. That's it for $44. This location used to be a Dr Wash, and for $20 you could've gotten better quality service. Very disappointing. I thought by coming on a slow day with some inclement weather I would be supporting this business on a day of slow sales, and in turn I would come away satisfied. That was definitely not the case.
