When I picked up my dress, the length was still too long. I was told it would cost extra to fix, even though I had already paid for the alteration and was not satisfied with the result. I asked what could be done, and was told there was no solution unless I paid more. If the owner responds offering an apology or saying they would "make it right," please note that I was already given the opportunity to resolve this in person and no solution was offered at that time. My fiancée dropped off some pants to get hemmed and tapered. When he picked up the pants, he noticed she hemmed them but did not taper them to the desired amount he wanted. They honestly did not look tapered AT ALL. If there was an issue with bringing in the hem to where he asked it to be, then she should have told him she couldn't taper them that much to begin with. This was very disappointing as he had to leave the pants for 2 weeks with her, and then upon pick up, he didn't get what he asked and paid for. She wasn't very friendly about it either and assumed he was accusing her of "cheating him." So annoying. Now we have to spend more money with someone who can actually taper them to our desired fit. read more

I think I was sticker shocked at the cost to hem a knee length dress (straight hem, no lining) including sleeves for a wedding - $70. Do NOT trust this place. My mom brought in a pair of jeans, sweatpants, and a blazer for alterations, and they charged us an insane $150. First off, that price is a complete rip-off. But the worst part? She specifically asked them not to touch the sleeve of the blazer because it was delicate and one of the key features of the piece. What did they do? They REMOVED the sleeve without even bothering to ask for permission. When we went to pick up the pants, they had the nerve to tell us the sleeve was gone, and we couldn't get it back. I'm 100% convinced they did this on purpose to keep the blazer and charge us more later. To make matters worse, the jeans and sweatpants were a total disaster after their "alterations," so I had to take them to another place. They fixed the mess for a fraction of the price and told me how much of a rip-off Sunys is. This place is a joke. They overcharge, ruin your clothes, and have zero customer respect. I took my bridesmaid dress to Sunny to get hemmed, as well as to adjust the straps and have the waist taken in. She quoted me $210, which I thought was steep, but I understood the amount of work she was doing & the shop was very highly rated. When I came back two weeks later to pick up my dress, the very front of the dress was several inches too short. It wasn't even done evenly to look intentional. When I pointed it out, Sunny asked what she could do to help me. I was floored - I was expecting her to give some suggestions on what we could do to make it at least look decent. She asked me, "do you think the bride will notice?" She initially only offered to take $100 off, which I told her wasn't going to work. Only one side of the front was too short, so her suggestion was to take the other side up an inch to lessen the difference. I was already planning on wearing flats, so there was nothing else she could do. Long story short - the dress was ruined. There was absolutely no fixing it, and it looked awful in photos. A floor length gown showed all the way to my ankles - for only one leg. It wasn't the only thing wrong with the dress, which I didn't notice until later. The way they put the dress back together again basically removed the slit of my dress. Sunny was extremely apologetic and didn't charge me, but the dress looked so awful that I'm actually paying the bride to have her photographer edit my dress in her photos, so at least her photos won't be ruined. read more

I had four pants hemmed and three were just fine but after two washes I realized one do that dress pants was coming undone. I had my receipt and was out of town that month so I went back a few months after the initial alteration since I had only worn the pants twice and had been gone for a month. When I went to the shop it was closed for the holiday. I noted it was a rather long holiday notice so I left and came back another convenient time for my schedule. When I came in with the pants and the receipt I told her my issue and she looked at me and responded that I had a temporary seem and that it had been a long time since the original hem but she would do it for free this time. First off, I NEVER ASKED FOR A TEMPORARY SEEM! Why is that a thing? Second, the way she responded was very off hand. Almost offensive as if I should have known that. You can go here with your needs, but just know the customer is not always right and they will most likely deliver something you didn't ask for and blame you for it. read more

Do not go to Sunny's Alterations unless you are okay with being belittled as a customer and told that your problems with the service are invalid because she's been in the business for 10 years and she knows "better than you." I went to Sunny's to get my dress hemmed and specifically told her I wanted my dress to be short enough so that it does not touch the floor. When I dropped off my dress, I was not given a cost estimate. I don't know much about hemming, but the last time I paid for a hem (about a year ago) it set me back somewhere between $20 and $30, and I was living in Oregon at the time, where the prices for goods and services are much higher. She told me it would be ready in two weeks. Instead, I was surprised to receive a text that it was ready about a week later. When I went to pick it up, I was charged $47 plus tip, so I ended up paying around $56. This came as a shock to me, since I have never paid even close to that for a routine hemming before. I took the dress home, tried it on, and lo and behold, it grazed the floor. Mind you, I tried it on on a carpeted surface at home, but regardless of whether the floor was hardwood or carpet, the hem of the dress still should not have been touching the floor. When I came back to Sunny's with my dress and very politely told the owner the dress wasn't short enough, she began arguing with me. She told me that she knows what she is doing and insisted that hemming one inch is standard for high-low/long dresses. I showed her that when I bent my knees just slightly, the dress touched the floor, and asked if she could take it up a bit shorter. She told me she could take it up another inch but would charge me again. She spoke with such a condescension that I was too stunned to even speak. I just gathered my dress and left. If you care about decent customer service and reasonable prices, Sunny's Alterations misses the mark on both points. Expect to feel utterly ridiculed and embarrassed if you raise any concerns about the quality of service. I will never go back to Sunny's again. read more

I just purchased 2 Christmas themed masks and they are PERFECT! They fit perfectly (others are too tight behind my ears), are soft and have a metal piece so you can fit them to the bridge of your nose. My daughter had to order a bridesmaids dress online and the information about sizing was ambiguous from the company online. She chose a dress size as best as she could, even ordering two just in case one did not work. It took several months to receive the dresses and when she got them, neither would fit as they were. With very little time, Sunny worked overtime to make sure that my daughter had something to wear to her brother's wedding.
