Every so often, however, you encounter someone whose level of craftsmanship, professionalism, and dedication truly distinguishes them. Joy is one of those individuals. I traveled to San Antonio, Texas, specifically to provide fittings and services for my clients ahead of their wedding. As a traveling designer, there are limitations to what we can bring with us--particularly our professional sewing machines, equipment, and the full range of tools available in our studio. With the groom's wedding less than 24 hours away, we were suddenly faced with an extremely time-sensitive situation that required both skill and immediate attention. Joy stepped in and helped me make the impossible possible. Despite an exceptionally busy schedule and a tremendous number of appointments of her own, she graciously accommodated us. She met with me numerous times, made herself available as our needs evolved, listened carefully to every request, and approached each detail with patience, precision, and professionalism. As a designer, I know firsthand what is required behind the scenes to execute alterations properly--especially under extraordinary time constraints. There is a tremendous difference between simply completing a job and understanding the construction of a garment, respecting the designer's vision, and working collaboratively toward the best possible result. Joy understood that difference. Working with her felt like working with a trusted industry colleague. There was an immediate mutual understanding of the garment, the urgency of the situation, and most importantly, the responsibility we both had to ensure our client was beautifully taken care of. Her willingness to collaborate with me, accommodate my requests, and find solutions despite our limited resources was exceptional. She demonstrated not only technical ability, but the discretion, flexibility, composure, and attention to detail that I value deeply when entrusting another professional with one of my clients. In the bridal industry, our work is attached to moments that cannot be repeated. There is no postponing a wedding morning because an alteration needs more time. When circumstances become challenging, the professionals you surround yourself with matter tremendously. Joy proved herself to be exactly the kind of professional I want beside me in those moments. On both occasions, I had wonderful work done and it was done in a timely manner. She quoted me one week and I was perfectly content with that. All items look better than they did when I brought them in && I brought my items to her fresh from the store. I don't how she did it, but she makes my clothes look higher quality. She has beautiful hem lines and provides excellent recommendations for additional areas of adjustment, such as tidying up a high slit. She is very friendly and easy to work with. She will always quote you a credit card and a cash price. I would say the prices are quite fair and the work is impeccable. I highly recommend agape for your alteration needs.

I called and they gave me a price for the rehemming of the pants and it was a fair price and it was still a deal on the total price of the pants due the clearance sale deal I got. I asked if there was a different charge for rehemming a pair of jeans I also needed done and she said it would be the same price, great. I go to drop off the pants on a Saturday and I ask how long it would take to get them done and she then asks me when I would like them done by....1 day, 2 days, 3 days or a week. She could make it happen depending on my need at no extra charge, very nice. I wasn't in a rush so I said 4 days would be fine (Thursday after work) and she said that would not be a problem. She rang up the total cost and informed that they only take payment in cash so when I come to pick up the pants on Thursday to please bring cash....no problem. I arrive on Thursday afterwork and pick up the pants and they are all ready, nine in total. When I get home and try them all on, they fit perfectly. I will be coming back to have some more items tailored here and I would recommend you also give them a try.
