I traveled to San Antonio, Texas, specifically to provide fittings and services for my clients ahead of their wedding. As a traveling designer, there are limitations to what we can bring with us--particularly our professional sewing machines, equipment, and the full range of tools available in our studio. With the groom's wedding less than 24 hours away, we were suddenly faced with an extremely time-sensitive situation that required both skill and immediate attention. Joy stepped in and helped me make the impossible possible. Despite an exceptionally busy schedule and a tremendous number of appointments of her own, she graciously accommodated us. She met with me numerous times, made herself available as our needs evolved, listened carefully to every request, and approached each detail with patience, precision, and professionalism. As a designer, I know firsthand what is required behind the scenes to execute alterations properly--especially under extraordinary time constraints. There is a tremendous difference between simply completing a job and understanding the construction of a garment, respecting the designer's vision, and working collaboratively toward the best possible result. Joy understood that difference. Working with her felt like working with a trusted industry colleague. There was an immediate mutual understanding of the garment, the urgency of the situation, and most importantly, the responsibility we both had to ensure our client was beautifully taken care of. Her willingness to collaborate with me, accommodate my requests, and find solutions despite our limited resources was exceptional. She demonstrated not only technical ability, but the discretion, flexibility, composure, and attention to detail that I value deeply when entrusting another professional with one of my clients. In the bridal industry, our work is attached to moments that cannot be repeated. There is no postponing a wedding morning because an alteration needs more time. On both occasions, I had wonderful work done and it was done in a timely manner. She quoted me one week and I was perfectly content with that. All items look better than they did when I brought them in && I brought my items to her fresh from the store. I don't how she did it, but she makes my clothes look higher quality. She has beautiful hem lines and provides excellent recommendations for additional areas of adjustment, such as tidying up a high slit. She is very friendly and easy to work with. She will always quote you a credit card and a cash price. I would say the prices are quite fair and the work is impeccable. I highly recommend agape for your alteration needs.

I used to be a customer of hers for many years. Every month, I would bring clothes so she can take in around the hip area when one day I pointed out to her that a pair of my pants that were taken in were coming undone. She looked at me in front of a few of her customers and told me "I make perfect for you. You must gain weight!" I was embarrassed and felt insulted. I told her that that was the first time out of many years that I've ever complained to her. I told her if that's the way she's going to be treating her loyal customers, I will not be returning." She then told me, "Good! You no come back here no more! I don't care!" I absolutely refuse to support a business who does not know how to treat their customers. She should understand that without your customers, you will not be able to financially sustain as a business owner.

I asked what could be done, and was told there was no solution unless I paid more. If the owner responds offering an apology or saying they would "make it right," please note that I was already given the opportunity to resolve this in person and no solution was offered at that time. I recommend doing your research and looking elsewhere for alterations.

I waited patiently for a half an hour while she fitted a dress on a young lady and talked and talked, and talked. I picked up my pants a week or so later. They looked terrible; like someone didn't finish and threw them in a bag for pick up. The fringe was not finished, but worse, hadn't even been trimmed. There were long threads and mess hanging off! One leg was fringed more than the other. They weren't stabilized with a stitching at the top as they had been when I brought them. I was so shocked and disappointed. Wah-Tee said, " Aren't they cute? I show you how to fringe and finish them with a safety pen. Seventeen fifty$".
