This company gave me one of the lowest bids for cutting down 3 trees and doing two stump grindings,…read moreso I hired them. I did tell them that my plants, irrigation, and existing electrical were important to me to prevent damage. They arrived on time, when they said they would. I did emphasize to them again that there was electrical and irrigation near the tree and to be careful. They actually did a good job of cutting the tree down, using a rope to tie off bigger branches. They left kind of a mess, which is what I expected since I had landscape rocks mostly. I knew the grinding wouldn't be pretty. My only gripe is that three of my landscape lights were not working after they left. After further inspection, I found a cut wire on top of the area where the trees were. I e-mailed a photo of the cut wire and an explained to them what happened, even after I clearly explained my concerns about the electrical wire. Their only response was that their contract, which they pretty much force you to sign, says they take no responsibility for any damage they cause. I would've thought that at least they could've attempted to have been more careful since I clearly explained my concerns in advance multiple times. It is evident that they really don't care about your property or any damage that they do to it. If you have electrical wires or irrigation, I would advise going with someone else. Now I will have to spend countless hour's digging up my my landscape to fix all the damage they did. I'm fairly certain they probably damaged my irrigation as well. As the saying goes, you get what you pay for.

Crews arrived early morning and were able to set up without making much noise. They did not start the machines until around our scheduled time. They were in the area and were able to get the job started a day early. However, they made sure to get my approval via phone call, prior to starting. Extremely smooth process from start to finish. I was very impressed at how clean the property looked afterwards. This review is based off of consult services with Clayton…read more I reached out for a consult regarding my Japanese Maple. Clayton took his time to look at the tree and recommend the best course of action to best prune the Japanese Maple and restore its natural shape. I asked if it was okay if I observed them whole they did the work so I could learn more about pruning and he said that was fine. We also walked around the whole yard and he agreed with me that I have two trees that sadly need to be removed due to where they were planted. I was also able to talk to him about planting more trees in my yard and he gave me good advice regarding planting and watering. Per Clayton's advice, I will be reaching out again in February 2027 so we can begin pruning the Japanese Maple.

Can't say enough good things about this company. I checked around for tree services but didn't get…read morea warm fuzzy for any of them. This service was recommended by our lawn service gent who said this company is the only one he would ever use and that he has been using them for many years. Clayton was the one who came out to look at our tree situation and give us a proposal. Our tree hadn't been trimmed in a couple of decades and was in big need of attention. Clayton's knowledge and attitude gave me a good feeling about having them do the work, so we accepted their proposal and scheduled them. The three-person crew showed up as arranged and went right to work. They did a great job of trimming the tree and completely cleaned up everything before they left. Very professional. Good vibes all around for A Better Tree Service. Definitely five stars!
