Dr. McLaughlin was supposed to biopsy a newly diagnosed node on the isthmus of my thyroid. Instead,…read moreshe mistakenly biopsied one of four nodes that had previously been biopsied and deemed benign. She carelessy failed to refer to her own notes following the phone call in which she informed me of the new diagnosis and discussed the biopsy. This is inexcusable.

I have found that the Dr's who run behind are usually the ones who give the patient the time they need. There are Dr's who also are behind and rush you out without a proper visit. I saw Dr McLaughlin about 5-6 yrs ago and I was having a very difficult time finding the cause of my extreme distress and she treated me better than most Dr's. She did an adrenal stimulation test 4 me that confirmed I low levels and poor response when the body needs it. She even monitored other hormone levels I was using replacement therapy for and when I had missed a few doses not thinking it would make a difference so quickly the Dr sent me a message informing me I dropped below and needed to not miss any doses. I spent yrs looking for help prior to this and a PCP told me it was just anxiety and got mad when I told him it is much more than anxiety. He put in my Records that I refused to accept his diagnosis that it was depression / anxiety and that's what Drs saw every time I sought help. I had reached desperation and went to the ER and the resident Dr was asking me all kinds of ?s looking for an answer until the head Dr came in and said he has a history of this and won't treat his depression anxiety and told me to leave. I was very lucky to have found an outside doctor Dr Bingham who at times spent over an hour w me. He found I had toxic levels of copper in me, that I had complex sleep apnea both kinds, found I had the lowest Testosterone levels he had ever seen, serious gut issues and an infection caused by antibiotics killing off all the good stuff resulting in C-Diff infection that can be life threatening, and other issues. Unfortunately he Retired. My currant PCP told me Testosterone was only for married men having trouble getting their wives pregnant. Saw him 2 weeks after the ER visit and he had already decided he was going to start antidepressants and when I tried to explain it was much more than that I got no help after barely 15min w him his nurse poked her head in and said next patient is waiting so that was that only to find out later he charged my insurance and sent me a Bill for 3 Hundred dollars claiming I owed for 2 visits because we didn't finish on time. What can you do in 15 minutes w a Dr after my temp and blood pressure were taken she said the Dr will be right in as I sat there for 10 more min. He must charge 300.00 for 30min and 600.00 for mine w no help. It really is a battle trying to get help. Good Luck to All looking for help.

Very bizarre and expensive experience. ( I don't blame anyone but myself for this). I was given the…read more"I am not a doctor" before going into my appointment. However, during my appointment and after listing all my symptoms and how gynecologists have told my I have suspected endometriosis, I was told by Kristine that I don't have that during muscle testing. I was shocked at such a bold statement ONLY because it went against the "I am not a doctor" statement I was told. I convinced myself this woman had a strong intuition until my chronic pelvic pain did not subside from the tinctures I was given. Which ... they weren't supposed to. It was only something western medicine could handle. Here I am two weeks post op with all endometriosis excised from my bladder and deep from my pelvis. So, Yes. I did have that. But the point of this review is that I was told I didn't have something..... when I absolutely did. It did not align with the " I am not a doctor" which I was told twice. If you are not a doctor, then how come I am being told I don't have something? Everything was very speedy and rushed... but I am assuming that is all because routine is the same for every person. Listen to symptoms, muscle test, and send home with 2-3 tinctures/ vitamins. Waiting for the western medicine and natural path world to align and become one instead of being so separate from each other!!! Hopefully one day. I see reviews that this practice is a scam, I think it is in some ways, but for some people (especially when their symptoms are mental, body is low in vitamins, contains parasites, etc. ) it could really help but it seems to be an expensive guessing game that is for sure.

After reading so many 5 star reviews, I was desperate to give this a try, even with the high…read moreinitial price point (approximately $200 for the appointment and homeopathic drops). I have to agree with another recent reviewer that this is a scam. The entire process was strange from start to finish in terms of what she does to check the body energy. None of it makes sense and you can watch her video on Yelp to see what I mean. I have chronic gastritis and came in for help with that. What she found and the drops given did not help me. Actually a very natural remedy did recently, but nothing that was done during this appointment or following. I am not sure how what she does helps people with digestive issues and I don't think she should be advertising that she can help with that. I also don't think she should be ripping people off with such a high initial price point when there are no guarantees and what she does is pretty hard to believe as legitimate. I really wanted this to work but I warn people to not go and use your best judgement. As desperate as you might be, this is too good sounding to be true and effective.

Dr. Colzani was very helpful when I was first getting my hypothyroidism under control. She took my concerns seriously and provided a lot of helpful information about thyroid funciton and pregnancy, since I was thinking about on becoming pregnant in the year or so after I found out I had hypothyroidism (2012). Well, now I am pregnant and I've been seeing Jessica Perucca for care during my pregnancy (you have to be monitored more closely because your thyroid function is crucial in baby's development). Jessica is wonderful - so easy to talk to, very compassionate, and really prompt following up with appointments. The office staff is friendly and it's easy to make appointments and get ahold of someone. When I explained I didn't want to spend all my PTO on Doctor's appointments, they worked with me to set up a schedule for visits that really works a lot better for me since I work full-time. I would definitely recommend Dr. Colzani, and ESPECIALLY Jessica, for your endocrinology care.

I saw this doctor back in 2009 when her practice was at Mt. Auburn Hospital…read more I went to Dr. Colzani after suspicions I was misdiagnosed as a type 2 diabetic. Dr. Colzani interviewed me, took my blood sugar, and looked at my thyroid. She sent me for an ultrasound on my thyroid because it was enlarged. She called two days after my ultrasound and scheduled a biopsy. I came in two weeks later and endured 30 needles in my neck. She sent a letter stating my nodules were benign. I requested a copy of my file for my records and reviewed them. I was rather upset with the comments I reviewed on the first visit. She wrote that she observed a non-diet soda in the exam room and commented that a diabetic should not drink regular soda. It was not mine! It was my sons! After reading that, I left her practice which turned out well since she moved her practice outside of the hospital. Dr. Colzani is thorough. A bit hard to understand through her accent but she is quick to judge without asking questions.

I loved going to this office! If I could describe it in two words it would be "laid back"!…read more The office staff is pleasant and rather comical. When I walked in for my first appointment, they put me at ease and started chatting. As a caveat, I had just come from the DC health care system and was so used to being rushed through appointments with doctors that were more interested in throwing prescriptions at me than getting to know me as a patient. I found the exact opposite in Dr. Kramer's office and man, I was relieved! The nurse practitioner (and the doctor herself) actually sat down with me and made small talk before we got into the nitty gritty of the appointment. This definitely took the edge off for me. Another plus--Dr. Kramer takes a conservative approach when handing out prescriptions. She would rather run blood tests up front to be absolutely certain that a medication is, in fact, necessary. While this would seem to be a no-brainer, I've got to say.. I've had so many doctors throw a prescription at me, in an attempt to attack the symptom, but never really work to get to the cause. The office accepts only cash or check for co-payment. If you forget, don't despair. They just mail you the invoice. Like I said, they're laid back. ;-) Overall, I really felt like I was in good hands in this office. I would recommend them to anyone that is looking for a good endocrinologist.
