Best optical store in Las Vegas, hands down, without a doubt. Daren is knowledgeable and professional. Storefront has a large selection from all the best optic manufacturers in the world. Custom lens work provided here is phenomenal. This is the only optical store I will shop at. read more

Had an excellent experience here. Daren was extremely patient with me, he educated me and helped me narrow down my options. The store has an incredible selection especially among the higher end brands which I loved. I had plenty to chose from and left feeling like I cant wait to come back and make another purchase. Will buy here exclusively going forward for the brands they carry. read more

If you are willing & able to buy quality, and only want to visit a single store to get your new pair of eyeglasses or shades, this is your store. The selection of frames is so well curated that you would swear that you had wandered into a museum exhibit, and the owner is so knowledgeable that speaking to him will only lend to that illusion. Understated brands of the highest quality stand beside avant-garde pieces and designer products. Want to slay in Cartier? Want something of understated quality along the lines of what John Lennon or Malcolm X wore? A runway statement piece? A steampunk conversation piece? All in stock, all of quality. The owner also offers some adjustment and customization services, so if the frames are just a tad off, might be able to tweak them to your needs. read more

Absolutely incredible service! Darren went above and beyond resizing my Cartier acetate frames - I will be back to buy my next pair!!

Called about my broken Raybans and was asked to come in. When I got there a man behind the counter (Derron) helped me. It was a quick fix and a very friendly atmosphere. When payment came up I asked what the fee was and Derron said it was on the house. Had to pay him back and give a good review. Not a lot of places in town with such friendly people and services. Will definitely stop by in the future and make a valid purchase to pay it forward. Thanks, D! read more

What a solid five star experience! I have driven by this shop numerous times and decided to stop in to check out their selection of sunglasses. My current sunglasses were ruined by my optometrist office (another review) so I was I interested in finding a new shop. This is a family business and both son and Father could not have been more helpful. Darren is a genius when it comes to the fit, look, and color of your sunglasses. I let him know I am an avid hiker and he hooked me right up with some new Maui Jim frames. I have been wearing Maui Jim's for a while and trust the brand. My glasses were ordered and they arrived sooner than expected, an added bonus. I went back to the shop and Darren made the final adjustments. He asked me to walk outside with them on and Wow! I was so amazed with how vivid the colors were. Darren explained to me that when I hike my vision and view was going to be incredible. I hiked a week later and he was absolutely right. The greens, the reds, the blue sky all popped like never before. I am beyond thrilled with my new sunglasses. I will be upfront and honest though. The cost is pricey for quality eyewear and this place is no different. I never intended to spend what I did but it was well worth it. This will be my go to shop for all future sunglasses or glasses purchases. I felt valued as a customer and I was provided with excellent service. Should you find yourself in the neighborhood, stop by and see Darren or his son. They will take great care of you and you will walk out looking like a Rock Star! read more

I laid on my ic! berlin frames causing them to bend which also popped the lenses out. I came to this location and they were kind enough to repair them on the spot and within 5 minutes my frames were bent back to their proper shape with my lenses back in. This was also the only shop in town that was listed from ic berlin, so if you're looking for the right place to shop for their frames or get them repaired, be sure to come here. The customer service was excellent and their store looked great. I'll be coming here for my next frames. read more

Top Las Vegas eyewear store for enthusiasts! Daren specializes in independent brands such as Jacques Marie Mage and Chrome Hearts, as well as high quality designer brands like Cartier and Maui Jim. The store is beautifully furnished, the ambience warm, and the customer service is amazing. Daren spent an hour introducing me to different brands and models and we landed on a pair of JMM Atkins. My most memorable shopping experiences in Las Vegas - very educational and centered around craftsmanship and quality, instead of status and luxury read more

Sunglass Optic Studio is my go to shop. I've had nothing but good experiences with them for many years. Having moved out of state, I am now working with them remotely, which requires a high degree of trust and confidence on my part. The SOS team is 2-for-2 with me in working with me remotely. As my vision has changed over the years I've asked for more and more out of Daren and the team. They've never disappointed. A few years ago Daren suggested a lens for use while mountain biking that has both my distance and my reading Rx, but with a modification such that the transition to the reader portion of lens is only at the very bottom of the lens. With this modification, the reader doesn't interfere with my view of the trail as I ride but can still see my bike computer (while I'm riding) and can read my phone while I stop. He also suggested a lens that transitions from dark to light as the sunlight changes, resulting in me being able to use the same glasses while riding in the pre-dawn hours, during the day, at dusk, and at night. It is a fantastic solution, and is consistent with my experience at SOS over the years. read more

Love love this store Went in with the intention of looking around and only to buy a pair of Randolph sunglasses for hubby but some how ended up with two pairs of sunglasses for myself . I very appreciated the owner keep the store open later than it usual closing time enough for hubby to turn back to get that second pairs of the eye glasses that I decided to get instead of needing to come back next time when they are open. Would recommend this store to anyone. A++ service read more

Chose this place based on all the awesome reviews. Unfortunately, I did not have a that same awesome experience. I went in on a Saturday, and brought a pair of sunglasses less than 2 months old--that needed repairing-- after checking out the glasses-the clerk conversed with his co worker (which may have been the owner). They decided they would need to call and get a price on parts. He wrote down my name and number and also the details on my glasses (part #, etc). He told me they are closed on Mondays so he would call me back Tuesday or Wednesday with a quote to fix my sunglasses. Needless to say I never received a call. read more

Sunglass Optic Studio - Amazing service!!! Daren was so kind ! - Sunglasses Near Me - Las Vegas, Nevada

Had a set of old frames from my father that weren't explicitly valuable, but carried some sentimental value. Met with the owner on a pass by walk in and explained I needed the lenses replaced because one cracked. I had tried to get them done professionally half a dozen times before. He quickly and accurately quoted price and time to completion. Reasonable pricing compared to other quotes I had. Took time with me to explain services, offers, and review inventory if I wanted to treat myself in the future. Finished ahead of schedule. Nice shop, good, straightforward, and patient proprietor. read more

I went to bring in my old beat-up sunglass last week. He didn't charge me a penny for it which I hadn't purchased here! We checked around the displays. Oh man, his knowledge of brands that he carries and craftsmanship in handmade sunglasses were amazing. If I am looking for a new good quality pieces, I will come back here again. I DEFINITELY RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO ANYONE AND EVERYONE! read more

Well I need to take a moment to update this review. It's been a while since I was contacted by SOS regarding my initial review and it should be noted they went out of their way to address my comments and offered to remedy the situation. I know they could have just written me off and went on with what I'm sure is a successful business enterprise in the Summerlin area but they didn't, and that says something about their business acumen. They reached out to me and offered to give me the same pair of shades I had trouble with or give me half off another different pair. I was happy to take them up on their offer and felt like they were genuinely making amends. What more can you hope for now days? Thank you for taking care of your customer and making things right. I'm sure I'll be back for those Costa's in the future. read more

Darren has a true passion for eyewear that makes you appreciate the workmanship you put on your face. The curated brands there are quality, but not your Gucci, Prada, Chanel you find everywhere. Darren introduced me to some brands I hadn't heard of but are true eyewear artists. I had to go home with a pair of Oliver Goldsmiths. Apparently the brand is really the OG of luxury eyewear and one of the guest to make sunglasses fashionable. I love them! I invite you to come and try something new and beautiful! read more

Came in for a simple eyeglass repair job and both of the staff members I dealt with were fantastic. It's a very welcoming, professional and pleasant atmosphere. Took my Maui Jim sunglasses in to get an rx put in. idk if Maui Jim put in wrong rx or Optic sent them wrong rx. Either way, the owner did not check them when they came back from the lab. after trying them on and telling them it was the wrong rx the owner told me to wear them for a while, very condescending. I had to go and have the rx read by someone else and bring him the proof they were wrong before he sent them back. He even suggested the written rx looked weird and that's what caused the problem. it was a standard prescription that any good optician would've recognized. Because they didn't check my glasses I had to go back 3 times to get it done right. In my opinion they are more concerned with their "status" of selling high end glasses than their customer service. read more

Exceptional owner and an incredible selection of eye wear. Darin has some extremely high end styles and always the new looks. His expertise in the field is simply astonishing. He was able few times to help my husband who has great difficulty with his eyes and prescription needs. Darin is also brutally honest not seeking you or suggesting something that won't be right for you. I'd "eat my hat" if anyone wasn't 100% satisfied with the outcome of their experience. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED read more

I just got my prescription sunglasses today and am very VERY happy with them. Finding the right pair of glasses is difficult for me because of my wider face and nose bridge and my stupid strong prescription. I actually did find a fantastic pair several years ago in Arizona but those frames developed a crack and would not allow the lenses to be changed out without destroying the frames. Thus, the hunt for new sunglasses to protect my eyes from the evil desert sun. I did not have high hopes for finding frames that were as comfortable and pretty as my old ones. I started my search by visiting a few other shops in the city. Nothing. Boo. Where should I go next? After reading Bobby Y's glowing review and after numerous trips to Sunglass Optic Studio, I decided to invest in a pair of SALT frames. Now, I should mention that I'm frugal by nature (i.e., cheap) and eyewear is not (cheap, that is. At least for me!). The fact that I chose to purchase a pair of frames from this shop speaks volumes. Sunglass Optic Studio, hereby referred to in this review as SOS, carries a wide range of fashion forward frames with the accompanying price tag. Not all are break-the-bank expensive, but the brands displayed attest to the quality of the shop. When I tried on my SALT frames for the first time, I was so thrilled because they FIT right out of the box....er, display case....No adjustment needed!!!!! Daren (the optician) was super patient as I compared the SALT frames with my old ones, poring over the fit and angle to see the difference. I was sold. If you want great service and even better glasses, come here and try a pair on for yourself. I was told that my frames would arrive by Friday (i.e., tomorrow), but they arrived yesterday. My actual lenses look "normal" and "thin" in the frames due to some fancy wizardry (i.e., "digital imaging" -- stretching out the lenses whilst keeping the prescription intact) instead of having the edges of the lenses rising above the frame (evidence of lesser quality lens making). SOS calls you when they say they will and follows through on what they say they will do. Integrity is a scarce commodity, it seems, in the retail industry but from what I've experienced, is plentiful at SOS. Just a note: SOS does not take insurance. A bit of a pain, but after asking, they said they'd rather spend their time and money on quality products. read more

I visited Sunglasses Optic Studio to fix existed frames and to order new pair also. Place has cool and unique vibe. Frames are Ray Ban, Oakley and Matsuda. Its very inviting and well designed. Selection for men from female perspective going into classy/sporty/techno direction. Darren, owner and licensed optician was incredibly nice and told me fascinating facts about lenses and new materials for up-and-coming brands that he also carry. From random check for highly appealing frame/lenses package, it's rather well priced. Unfortunately, I had end of the year 'use it or loose it' Eyemed insurance and Optic Studio would be out of network for it. Highly recommend for anyone who value eyewear (there are awesome sun shades too). read more

I own a pair of classic Rayban Wayfarers that travelled with me for many years until one day I accidentally sat on them . I kept them for the last year hoping that one day they will be resurrected. I recently went there on the recommendation of my daughter in law who said the owner is really a nice man and very good. I accidentally sat on my son's Maui jim sunglasses and they were bend and of the glass was out. So, I went there and the owner said he thinks he could fix them, so wait about 5 minutes and let me check. Well, In 5 minutes he was out and they were all fixed to my surprise. I couldn't believe how well they looked and when I asked him ,how much, he said no charge it was really easy! Wow, what a surprise and totally a cool thing for him to do. So, I left some money for him to buy lunch and a very big thank you. Anyone who lives in the Las Vegas area needs to come to this store for any glasses/ sunglasses needs. Without a doubt the best experience I have had at an eye-glass/sunglass storefront. The whole experience was incredible from the moment you walk in. The ownership is absolutely a pleasure to work with and the location has a wide variety of amazing eyewear ranging the often sought out Garrett Leight line to your more common Ray-Bans. Whether you need to purchase eyewear, receive consultation on your eyewear needs or need your eyewear adjusted this location is a must stop if you're in the Summerlin/Las Vegas area. read more

I rarely leave reviews but I've been a customer of Dave's and Darren's for many years and cannot say enough about their service and top-quality selection. Everything about their operation is first class. You won't find a thousand pair of glasses here, just the best. And if you have questions or any problems post-sale, they're always happy to help. Fact is, I moved cross country and still call their shop in Vegas every time I need new glasses or want them as a gift. I recommend Sunglass Optic Studio unreservedly. read more

I was recommended to this place by a close friend of mine and decided to check this place out when I was in town. 10/10 would recommend. Dave was very knowledgeable about everything in his store and seems to have the latest and greatest. It's not everyday you can walk into a sunglass store and be taken care of this way. The selection here was super unique and varied from your usual Ray Bans to some awesome German brands. In the end, I decided on a pair of Oakley's and Ray Bans. I love them and would definitely come back if ever I needed another pair. read more

I recently got a convertible. Im not really a soft top type of guy but hey, the car was a great deal! The weather is perfect here in Vegas right now so why not make the best of car... Oh wait, thats right! I don't look good in glasses cause none of them fit me. Made it here in desperation of somebody that knew sunglasses. Long story short, got a pair of TAGHeuer glasses cause it looks good on me. AND THEY WERE ON SALE! He (I think his name was Dave) could of got me for some more expensive ones that almost looked as good but he chose the ones on sale cause they looked the best.
