I will happily spend hours in the store…read moremeticulously scrutinizing every pair if that's what it takes to find one that satisfies me (and trust me, this has actually happened). The first time I bought a pair of glasses, I went to Lenscrafters in the mall, and though the sales associate was fairly nice and helpful, I felt as though his main goal was to get me in and out of there as quickly as possible. That's not the case at Pearle Vision. I've been a loyal fan for years now. The owner and the employees really put the customer first. They'll patiently help you find the best frame for you, no matter how long it takes, and they'll give you their honest opinions instead of just flattery. They understand that for some people, glasses are an treasured accessory that can be used to enhance your look or make a statement, not just a utilitarian tool or a dorky impediment to looking good (judging by their own glasses, this seems to be their own personal philosophy). They're not just there to make a quick sale.

HOW TO LOSE A HIGH KPI CUSTOMER IN 5 SECONDS: Hostile staff and dismissive management…read more Because this location is right by my apartment I walked in fully prepared to purchase a pair of glasses out-of-pocket. I wasn't even in the store for five seconds before realizing how unprofessional the staff is. Upon arrival, the front desk associate was busy working with her back turned. Before she even had the chance to turn around and greet me a woman in a white medical coat made a visibly irritated face at me for simply standing there. She then barked "Can I help you?" with an unprovoked/hostile tone. Refusing to waste my time or give my money to people who treat potential clients like a nuisance I turned right around and left. Hoping to address the behavior, I called to speak with the practice manager-who turned out to be the same associate who was working at the front desk. Instead of addressing her colleague's blatantly bad attitude her excuse was that she "didn't see much" as her back was turned followed by a patronizing "I'm so sorry you feel that way." Free advice for the practice manager: Telling a customer "sorry you feel that way" isn't de-escalation; it's a lazy brush off and a refusal to take responsibility for how customers are treated. You lost an easy sale today and I'll be taking my business to a practice that actually understands basic customer service. Save yourself the frustration and go literally anywhere else

UPDATE UPDATE UPDATE - REVIEW OF 2026 EXPERIENCE…read more Although our 2023 experience was amazing, our 2026 event is another story: On Tuesday, August 4, 2026 my husband and I had eye exam appointments for 10:20am and 11:00am. Note: During the previous day, Lenscrafters called us to confirm our appointments. We verified the 2 appointments and were set to have our eyes examined and to purchase 2 pairs of eyeglasses. Or so we thought! At approximately 10:05am we arrived at the Lenscrafters store to find it closed. There were 2 comfortable chairs in front of the store so we sat down to wait for the store to open. By 10:15 a woman arrived and walked to the front door. We thought she was a Lenscrafters employee. Rather she was a customer who received a call that her glasses were ready for pick up. She told us that she paid for one-hour parking but seeing the store closed with two customers waiting outside, she turned and walked away. My husband called Lenscrafters and left a message that we were sitting in front of the store for our 10:20 and 11:00 appointments. He left our phone number. At 10:45am the store was still closed, and so we left. Lenscrafters never contacted us to apologize nor to explain why the store was not open at 10am. Time to go elsewhere for our eyeglasses!

After submitting a Google review, I appreciated the prompt response from corporate and the outreach indicating the store manager would contact me. When I spoke with the manager, she acknowledged that I had been misinformed and agreed to honor the 50% discount on the Prada glasses. I was relieved and thought the situation was being resolved. However, during that same call, after placing me on hold to process the order, I was quoted a total that was nearly $200 more than what I originally paid for the first pair. This was the first time it was explained that the 50% discount applies to full retail pricing, which was never disclosed at the time of my initial purchase or during my follow-up visit. Once again, I was told "that's how it works," but at no point was I given that information upfront. This is now the second instance of being misinformed, and it reflects a consistent lack of clear and transparent communication. At this point, it's difficult to have confidence in the information being provided. As a result of this experience, my wife has canceled her upcoming appointment and we will be taking our business elsewhere. I would appreciate a clear and honest explanation of your promotional terms moving forward, but more importantly, I hope this feedback is taken seriously so other customers are not put in a similar position.

After waiting three months and multiple excuses why the glasses weren't ready we cancelled the order and requested a refund. Most all the designer frames in their inventory they stated were not included with my plan Spectera. I showed them the print out of my benefit and they still would not comply. Called Spectera and they confirmed my benefit and stated they were a participating dealer. I got no where with sales staff and Iris was rude and never returned my calls. The customer service was a negative 10! After 3 weeks I never got a call that my glasses were ready! They make you pay upfront and say 7-10 days for completion... lie! I had to call to arrange my pick up. Then the glasses were not dispensed properly either! Just hand off with no checking fitting on my face or optical reading of small print. Just handed glasses that had fingerprints all over lenses... I had to ask B to please clean them! I was lucky to get a case for my new glasses! With all this negative experience I decided to reach out to corporate by email. I got a response from a Laura V (cc Mary and Karen)with a request for me to show her proof of my benefit and EOB WHICH THEY HAD! I provided her with my benefit with Spectera and requested copy of my EOB. It's now almost two weeks since my response to Laura V. I have received NO RESPONSE from Laura V., or any other person from Cohen optical. I would not recommend this company to anyone! I can choose either location depending on my schedule. My review is for both locations. I have had poor vision most of my life and dry eyes for the last decade or so. Outside of one eye doctor I saw in another State (Dr. Fitzgerald at Advanced Vision Care) I have had really bad experiences with eye and vision care. Most places offer long wait times, care that seems rushed, very traditional only methods of treatment that land at you missing out on key ways to improve your eye health (like taking vegan Omega 3 EPA and DHA to help with dry eyes) and doctors who are not on top of all of the new options out there for their patients. Dr. Lazar is none of those things. She is always on time and never rushes. She always offers new ideas on treatments like Omega 3 that has made a massive difference in my eye and skin health. Dr. Lazar is beyond skilled in eye care and is also very lovely. Without question she is my partner in my eye and vision care. Recently I bought lenses at the Darien location and worked with Suzy Ademoski. She too was just lovely. I walked out with lenses that were much thinner that my old ones and even block out much more of the sun while still being clear glass. I can actually drive with them in the Summer and not need sunglasses. Susy also offered me every discount that she could to make the purchase easier on my wallet. I highly recommend both locations for trusted eye care.
