Few days later, still in box with all stickers we wanted to replace for a pair with blue mirrored lenses. We were told they do not accept returns or exchanges. Terrible way to do business as it is a common practice at most stores. I understand if I was returning lingerie, but it's glasses. We all try on the same frames when in the store and they only give it a quick wipe with a disinfectant. Didn't see the problem when you can tell the frames were not even taken out the box yet. In addition, anything you purchase here you are overpaying by at least $100. We will not return and I will make sure I express my disappointment to all my friends in the community. I can afford to gift these glasses to a friend. We live in a small community where word of mouth matters. We will never shop here again.

To make matters worse it was a few days before x-mas and I was the designated driver for my disabled husband and would have to cross the bridge to Manhattan. I promptly went to V.C. and spoke with the young lady at the desk, (who is always so nice I forgot her name sorry) , she in turn gave me over to Daniel who I believe is the owner. Daniel immediately understood the gravity of the problem, took the matter into his hands, took out the original lenses, cut them down to size, found a new frame and handed me the new pair the next day! Without Vision Consultants I would have had to cancel x-mas at my family. I highly recommend them, they go out of their way each and every time.

Others walked in after us and they were greeted, attended too, and still we were left unnoticed. We tried on a few different pairs. A woman working there made eye contact with me, but still, said NOTHING. I brought a pair I liked to the register and still no acknowledgment. Even my son asked if we could just leave. VERY disappointing experience. I worked for Luxottica for 18 years and know this industry. Everyone that walks in to your store is a customer! She comes across as only caring about money and not caring about her patients. I gave them my insurance card which they didn't even run, the bill was so high, they added on random charges resulting in almost $200 for a contact exam, insane. They called me once, insisting I come in because my glasses I wanted arrived even though I told them I never looked at glasses with them and was not in the market for glasses, they kept insisting and I had to keep saying no. Then, when I tired to order contacts they told me contacts were not eligible under my insurance, even though they were, they just didn't want to honor it. Then they put a hold on the insurance money that was owed to me which made it so I could not place an order through insurance with another place. Dr. Levy refused to help me. Oh, also a dog was there and chased me out of the office barking frantically. I don't know how I ended up at this office, I wish I had checked her reviews before hand. The men in the glasses place on the first level are just wonderful, the didn't take my insurance but went out of their way to help me even though they weren't getting any business from me. The personalized service was incredible, with both women helping me walk through what worked best for various situations (glasses best for occasional wear vs. everyday for work, professional vs. trendy, etc) and really listened to what I was looking for. All of the frames are on the expensive side (Ray Ban, Chanel, etc) but the service is top notch.
