Ordered a hydrostatic Mustang vest on a Friday night and then realized I should have ordered the slight upgraded vest with harness. Called them Monday morning explained what I wanted and they upgraded me at no charge rather than do the paperwork for cancellation and reorder. Great customer service! Excellent business and customer service. I bought a pair of inflatable PFD/harnesses, which shipped promptly and arrived with no issues. A couple weeks later, I got email that they were having a sale on the same item for a $60 discount each. We ordered a life raft with an estimated shipping time of 5-10 days. After 10 days of hearing nothing back, I called only to find that they had not even submitted an order out yet. I heard no updates within this timeframe. How long would it have taken them to notice if I had not called? Upon calling, they told us there would be a delay on that particular raft, and offered somewhat comparable options. Having made an error in the first place, they assured delivery by the following week Friday at no extra cost. This delivery did not show up until a week later than promised, delaying our departure. Upon reaching out via email, the company ignored us completely. We've spoken to several other people who've had the same experience. Do not recommend, and will not recommend to any cruisers going forward. read more

I wish there were more mariners out there and that I was a better one as well. This is the kind of establishment that people used to write to from far and wide to enable their cruising and other boating related activities before the advent of GPS. There is still no substitute for charts as a back up and the other things that you can come by in an establishment like Landfall. There is no better place I know to stock up on charts, guidebooks, electronic navigation programs, off shore safety equipment and offshore navigation planning and training then Landfall. It is the one stop shop. Very knowledgeable staff too for liferafts, exposure suits, sailing dinghys, paddle boards and kyacks. These people are AMAZING. They're extremely knowledgeable and helpful and are willing to bend over backwards for you. It's nice to go to a store where the salespeople are familiar with their products and don't try to up sell you or nickel and dime you. At 9:00 PM on Feb. 8, 2012 I ordered a set of Steiner binoculars advertised @ $150 less than any other Yahoo, Google, Nextag or Amazon vendor. I received an email confirmation of the order almost immediately. At 7:20 AM, less than 12 hours later, I received an email from Mark Bologna at Landfall Navigation advising me than the item had been discontinued and the only similar item available was Pentax binoculars. An online search reveals that these binoculars are available at at least a dozen vendors - of course at a higher price. I call this a BAIT AND SWITCH TACTIC. I have requested by email that my order be canceled immediately. I have phoned Landfall Navigation 21 times this morning. When you phone Landfall Navigation you are first transferred to an "operator" who never answers, then you are transferred to another recording that asks you to leave a voicemail message. When I dialed Mark Bologna's extension #24, I again got a machine requesting that I leave a voicemail message. BEWARE! I would not even attempt to do business with this "company" again. bought a chip I must have messed up on the digits and got the wrong area , called and got the right number paid for and ordered the right one , now they wont give me my money back , I found the charts for the Bahmas to be spotty at best very little points and info what is there is out of date , avoid this company, I talked with four prople and they all had diffrent answers why they would not return my money even though they got the chip back. this is for the bahamas aie sea rescue and they would not help . read more
