I have visited this location three times, and each time I've had a negative experience. During my most recent visit, it was especially difficult to remain calm. I'm submitting this complaint regarding two store employees: Leroy, the manager, didn't even come out to hear my concern or make any attempt to help when I asked for him. Scarlet, a front-line employee, flat-out refused to process my return and showed no willingness to explore any solutions to resolve the issue. In the end, I resolved the issue myself and returned the item at a different location, where I was treated with the respect and professionalism every customer deserves. read more

I am SO ECSTATIC with both my purchase and the customer service I received at Sunglass Hut at Fig & 7th!! Sam, the manager was so helpful and attentive he met all my needs effortlessly and made me feel like I was his top priority! I bought a pair of GORGEOUS Prada Glasses I am obsessed with. Sam adjusted them so the fit was just right and even managed to get me a new pair so I didn't have to buy the floor model. He also informed me of the promotions they had going on and I was able to get 20% off my polarized lenses! I'm so glad I visited this DTLA Sunglass Hut Location and I will DEFINITELY be returning!! read more

Please do not order for Sunglass Hut!!! They do not care about their customers. I placed an order in which I never received. After a month of "investigations" (which they could not provide any proof of), they informed me that I would not be able to receive a refund or a replacement. UNBELIEVABLE! I spent a considerable amount of money and I am highly disappointed and I feel unvalued. When I spoke with a representative and supervisor I was met with a grimacing attitude and no care or concern. Risky business and I would not recommend. read more

Sam was very helpful and helped me pick out my next pair of shades! He also showed me other available colors in the model I was looking for! Now im ready for summer! Thank you!! read more

Service was horrible, unprofessional and extremely discriminatory. My wife went to return a purchase we made a week ago. Unused, packaging in place, order number in hand (bc it was an online order) & Guadalupe gave us the WORST service possible. Refusing each step, from initial interaction, questioning where we purchased and how- even though we had efficient, and valid documentation. Sunnies ( Raybans) were untouched. She then went on to say that we couldn't return an online ( s2s) purchase in store. WRONG. the receipt clearly states we can go in store to return. After 25 min of her disputing the return, it was completed. I then called bc this was such a horrible experience, to speak with a manager and she told me they didn't have one, that the new manger wouldn't be back until the 8th and that there is no customer care number/or email. Bc I wasn't born yesterday, I knew that was also false. She puts me on hold to tell me to wait for her to clock in so she can actually get paid for this interaction, she just came back from lunch. I was placed on hold for 9 min for her to come back with the nastiest, condescending tone and then hangs up in my face after number was given. This is a sunglass store not social security. Do better or hire better. I'll be following up with corporate bc this is crazy. Absolutely horrified. read more

I bought a pair of Ray-Bans online and returned them to the store. I waited several weeks and never received a refund. I emailed them, spoke to them on the phone multiple times, went into the store and spoke to the associate in person and still got nowhere. All they did was tell me "it's been escalated" and they sent me a voucher with a discount code that didn't work with anything, and still no money back. Out $104 thanks to this greedy POS company. read more

Sam and Eboni completely made my day with their effort and attentiveness to me as a customer. I don't feel like I was "sold" glasses here, I feel like I found what was right for me and made friends in the process. read more

I usually buy all of my designer accessories from Nordstrom but I was in a rush to a gfs birthday and saw sunglass hut being walking distance from my apt had order pick up so that would be more convenient. Boy was I wrong! NEVER will I buy from them again. My friend ended up picking a different frame at the Beverly center location so I was like I'll just return these. Purchased on my Macy's card, receipts, and everything untouched. BRYAN the employee spent almost 10 minutes "cleaning" them (they were tried on ONE time) only to eventually tell me "he can't return them but I can come back tomorrow to ask his manager" I asked him why and he pointed to a scratch I literally couldnt even see. I left bc I was so in shock of such poor customer service. DEF not the experience you get at flagship stores and Nordstrom. I never pull the race card but I most definitely felt as though he intentionally discriminated against me. I will seriously be telling everyone to never shop their again. I had my friend return the other pair so we could just give Gucci our money instead. read more

This place is amazing and cashier bobbi gives great customer service and even helped me pick out what shades I was exactly looking for After I had given him a price range of what I was expecting to spend and style I'd been on the hunt for. I'll be coming here again Never disappointed read more

If you're thinking of finally buying yourself that expensive pair of glasses, this is the place to make that purchase. I won't bore you with details of my story, but I'll say that the manager there does everything in his power to make sure that the customers leave the store with satisfaction. read more

I told the man working at the store I wanted to get black raybans and was curious about a couple designs and he immediately said I should get a lighter shade to match my skin tone. I'm a white person and I also have vitiligo so I have even less pigment. If I want black sunglasses and I'm paying $200 just help me with what I want I don't need your opinion on what goes with my skin tone. The day is Saturday April 18th 2021 around noon. read more

Did not have a great experience at this place. Went in there to exchange a pair of sunglasses that I had bought at another Sunglass Hut. The sales clerk, who was there by himself, was curt and not very friendly. I got the feeling like he was annoyed that I was exchanging sunglasses rather than purchasing a new pair. I was there about a half hour after they opened and there were no other customers in the shop. His attitude was that I was bothering him by asking to see some sunglasses. There was nothing he said which was overtly rude, he simply answered my questions with the least amount of words possible without offering anything else. Not a great feeling as a customer especially since I was exchanging a $250 pair of sunglasses. Won't be going back to that Sunglass Hut again. read more

Love sunglass hut, they take care of their customers! I came back with an exchange and the manager, Phillip, got me setup witb my awesome new clubmasters right away! This is my store of choice! read more

This is a very new store that opened in the Fig@7th shopping complex around March 2014. I dropped in on a recent Tuesday afternoon about 3pm and while the shopping center itself was busy, the store was not. I got great personal service from Phillip, the manager. He helped me choose the best sunglasses for my face - when I was stuck between 2 options, he gave me his honest opinion and did not just arbitrarily pick the higher-priced one. This location have a wide selection of styles and brands, it's quite a bit smaller than the 3rd St Promenade location but still had a great assortment. Phillip also reminded me that Sunglass Hut has a great return policy, 90 days post-purchase you can return the sunglasses for any reason (with receipt and original package.) Very fair! I'll be back to buy here when I need to update my sunnies again. read more

Be careful with returns. Tried to return an item at Woodland Hills location, dealing with Ashley-MANAGER. First, she didn't want to give us paper return receipt, then after 10 min of argument when we got it. It was 65$ short ....???? She said it was a system problem. ??? Then she told us to get out from her store. Nice. So be careful. SUPER EXPENSIVE NOT WORTH IT! read more

I'm sooooo glad they opened this store Downtown. If you're looking for quality service and expert advice this is definitely the store for you. The manager, Phillip, saved me an hour and a half trip because he is very thorough and made sure that all of my concerns were addressed before leaving his store. He didn't have the exact pair of Ray Bans that I wanted, but he recommended an alternative that I like even more and confirmed that the store on Sepulveda that claimed to have the pair that I was requesting over the phone actually didn't have it in stock and that the employees there clearly didn't take the time to verify the inventory. He also found several stores that actually had them in stock and he did this within 15 mins. If you read this, thanks again Phillip! read more

Visiting from NY and stopped by this store. Phillip was extremely knowledgable and provided great customer service. If you come to this store, you won't get one of those sales people who are pushing you to make a purchase. Thanks Sunglasses Hut for opening up this store! read more

i bought some polarized ray bans in oct of 2014. on the way to the bernie sanders rally (yes, feel the bern!) on the metro, a screw popped out and the screw was lost forever and the lenses popped out, and i was very sad. i was little mad too, because those were $200 glasses and they basically disintegrated before my very--unshaded-eyes. now, this is where this becomes more of a psychological tale ... my resentment began to develop immediately as i suspected this 'hut' o' sunglasses, being a retail giant, evil, inherently, would not help me as they should. i let the resentment fester for months, always forgetting the sunglasses when i was downtown. i played out the conversation i'd have with the clerk ... i wrote this very yelp review in my mind, scathing, likely to bankrupt this hut o' sunglasses--if not a chapter 11, certainly a 13. then, the day arrived. i would confront the hut and it's minions. i brought my broken sunglasses in a zip baggie that'd been in my car for months. i rehearsed my facial expressions, my sarcasm in my mind as my lawyer (yes, i was with my lawyer--not necessarily for the purpose of representing me in case things went south). ME: [i explain the situation] HER: [thin, young, dark hair, assistant mgr] do you have your receipt? ME: [ thinking: yes, of course. i always keep a paper receipt of everything i buy and carry it with me for at least a year ... or, hey, this isn't 1849, we didn't trade pelts, i bought it with a frigging card like a human, look it up!] but actually said: "No, can you look it up". HER: Sure ME: [internally] rolling eyes HER: oooh ... you bought these over a year ago. Our policy is that we will replace them for half. ME: Half the cost of repair? HER: Half the cost of sunglasses. ME: These are $200 sunglasses and they literally fell apart less than a year after i bought them ... HER: Uhhhh ME: [makes facial expression that can best be compared to Eddie on the cover of 'Iron Maiden's' "Number of the Beast' Album] [LONG SILENCE as she ponders the situation and observes me ready explode as my resentment has proven to be JUSTIFIED!!!] * * * HER: You know what ... I'll just give you a new pair. ME: [TEARS of JOY ... ] Thank you, thank you. [I run out of the store with the new sunglasses before she changes her mind] SCENE Parking: Garage with validation, hey it's DTLA Prices: It's retail but pretty standard Services: They are very hot to sell you sunglasses! Very attentive. I'm smelling commission, but hey ... it's all good. Selection: Think of Sunglass Hut as Macy's for sunglasses. You aren't going to get the really high end stuff, but you are going to get pretty nice sunglasses that range from 50-400ish YOUR RESULTS MAY VARY read more

WORST RETURN EXPERIENCE EVER!!! I returned a pair of sunglasses to Sunglass Hut on 5/21/15 and was given a gift card. I tried the gift card online before I left the store and the amount on the gift card appeared to be incorrect. I brought the issue to the attention of the sales associate Orisha, who tried to use the gift card too and it did not work. She said they had been having issues with their gift cards. She called customer service twice reluctantly and was unable to get the gift card to work. I tried the gift card once more online and again it was invalid. I called customer service and was told to go back to the store because their was nothing they could do by an agent named Giberni. I told her to get me a supervisor and spoke to a man named Felix who said that he looked at the card and it was used online so I would have to speak to the online department. Then I spoke to one person and was transferred to another without notice and then that person transferred me back to the main menu. Then when I got through to the next representative I was told that the purchase was made in store and I would have to call back the next day during their business hours. Thank you for absolutely NOTHING!!! DO NOT TRY TO MAKE A RETURN HERE!!! read more
