COMPLAINT So I don't even know where to begin ! I am not one for complaining but this here today took the cake ! My sister & I walked in this store I was heading to see if I can snag a pair of sunglasses since it was a sale going on for up to 50% off ! We didn't even walk-in the door good and the employee working didn't bother speaking or anything her first reaction was to wipe off a pair of sunglasses I picked up ! I'm thinking to myself this can not be happening right now ! So I picked up another pair and she did the same thing and I asked her why she proceeds to tell me it's protocol ! I seriously fail to believe that being that I frequent sunglass hut all the time. This store lost my business for sure and I did manage to get her name because I want cameras pulled on this employee and her behavior today I kept it cool but I was more than livid by this. My sister seen it in my face so she kindly walked out but I had to address this and I did let her know I will be calling corporate about this before I end up taking it a step further . DO NOT COME HERE-I came into return/exchange a pair of Prada Glass. They were bent, so popped up to this location. Walked in and a female employee, though saying how can I help you, while texting on her phone and looking down was okay. So I stated, "when you're ready". She then eventually looked up. Manager Carol eventually explained I couldn't return/exchange and had to go back to store I purchased from. Got it. Of course I'm asking questions and follow up and repeating what she said to confirm that's what she said. Which I think is pretty normal. Then stated how it was at the Galleria location... today I just couldn't go there, it's not around the corner. ANNA, with smart a** mouth... says It's just 10mins away you can go with attitude. Me: excuse me you like to drive there to exchange them... Unsure why this Emily thinks taking at customers with an attitude and smart remarks is okay. Manager tells her nothing!!! I'm the aggressive one all of sudden because your employee thought being disrespectful was okay and the CUSTOMER supposed to be okay with it. Absolutely not!!! I went to the Rice Village location a couple of months ago to have my plastic shades adjusted and molded with heat. The staff member that day seemed like it was a bother and reluctantly adjusted them twice but they still didn't fit. I gave up and left. The other day I stopped by to try again. My experience was like night and day. The salesman, Timothy, was enthusiastic and seemed happy to help. Even though he was still in the process of learning to mold plastic shades, Timothy ended up being an expert. He didn't give up and he didn't let me leave until they fit perfectly. Thanks Timothy! I stopped by after a lovely lunch with my children. Asked saleslady to help me adjust my D&G sunglasses that I had bought in New York a few years ago. She asked me for a receipt!!!! before she can help me she needs one, then continue to asked me questions saying that she needs proof of purchase to help me out, my husband had paid for them so he was not in system, all of this while 21 year old daughter is looking to at glasses she wants to purchase. Went to pick up my ordered sunglasses today. They've been ready for two days but I never received a call or text like they said they would. I go in and give them my name and the sales associate says she couldn't find my package even though the tracking data said it was there. She spends almost half an hour calling her sales manager and then scrubbing through security camera footage to see what the delivery people did. Finally she looks at the boxes that have been right behind her the whole time and realizes one was mine. Apparently she was only looking at the name at the top of the shipping label and not the second name which was a bit further down the label where my name was. She gave no apology and didn't seem to care whatsoever. It's obvious they only care about making sales and not about customer service. read more

Worst customer service ever. The female sales accosiate there is loud, obnoxious, and uneducated. She kept talking over her customers. I went in with a general question about sunglasses, maybe I wasn't in my fancy clothes, she said something in the effect of "oh, if you bought replicas from Amazon..." In addition to not being able to provide any answer, she kept reciting company marketing slogans. Super annoying. Definitely will not go back or recommend this place to anybody. read more

I stopped by this morning to return a pair of Clubmaster I had bought from SGH-Galleria during their Thanksgiving sale because I was given another pair as a Christmas gift. There were three female sale associates in the store. They told me to go back to the Galleria store to get my refund because "we have not made a sale today and you will make our bank negative." So even though my apartment is 5 minute walk away from this Rice Village location, I had to drive all the way to the Galleria to return. Will I ever return to this location? HECK NO! I'd rather go to the Galleria and get treated better. read more

Two black women racially profiled and not allowed in the store while white customers were allowed to shop freely. We were told that there was a 4 customer max. However, there was only one white customer inside. While waiting to enter the store, Rice Village security was called by store employees to remove us from the premises, despite the fact that we had already purchased an item online and came to the store for pick up. Once security escorted us inside the store no apology was offered by the store employees. We were instead questioned and treated like criminals by the employees of Sunglass Hut. read more

Since my office is on Kirby, I like to come to Rice Village on my lunch breaks and roam around. Decided to check out some shades at this location and found the sales associate to be very very nice. He offered me their 20% employee discount promotion that was going on for the week, thought that was very generous and kind of him. Decided not to buy anything that day but returned the next day to buy some for a friend's birthday gift. It was a different sales associate at the time but I mentioned how I was offered the discount by the other employee and they were willing to give it to me without a fight. Went to the west gray store @ 10:30..... Store wasn't opened nor was the phone being answered. Called Stacy in rice village and she is AWESOME!!!!! She not only tried to help me find what I was looking for online while on the phone she recommended great sunglasses. Seeing how awesome her customer service was just over the phone I drove there just to see what they had. She was soooooo helpful and honest. I bought a pair just because she was so helpful. If you're in the market for sunglasses go see her! Selection in the store was about 3 of 5 stars, but Stacy made it a 5 star experience!!!!! read more

I bought a $150 pair of Polo Ralph Lauren sunglasses 13 months ago thinking I was investing in a quality pair which would last a long time if taken care of. Treated the pair like a baby but almost 13 months to the day, the right arm came off leaving the screw assembly behind. I took it into this store but they told me they couldn't do much since the warranty period was over. They couldn't even replace the arm (I would have been happy to pay for that service). At that point I belatedly did an internet search for the exact model and found it available for $75, meaning it had been marked up at least 2-fold. Lesson - go into SH to try out a brand you like but it's not worth it to give them you business, buy the pair you tried online for a hefty discount over the SH price. SH is a bit of a scam overall. read more

I stopped at this West U SGH because it was on my way to see someone. My wife's birthday was soon and she neded some new sunglasses. Timothy, the store mgr, listened carefully while I described my wife and then recommended two options. I chose the Tiffany brand and my wife loves them. She stopped at the SGH in our neighborhood (sugar land) just to see if I made the right choice and kept the glasses I bought. When I had eye surgery and could wear sunglasses without prescription I headed back to West U to see Timothy. Again, I was not disappointed. I must have tried on 30 pair and his commentary was spot on. He was training Norm the day we were there and he also had good thoughts on my glasses.
