Third (3rd) brake light was obscured by previous window covering and is a citable offense in California. Set appointment, to get tint replaced (obscurity removed) for $250.00. This is above/beyond the $1000.00 paid just about a year ago. Go to pick up and 3rd brake light doesn't work. Point this out, tech takes it back in the shop. Short time passes, and now brake light works again. Except that I now notice that my limo tint paid for in the first $1000.00 has gotten noticeably lighter. And the 3rd brake light fixture doesn't sit flush to the ceiling of the cab. First time in approximately 30 years as a customer the service was substandard. Not likely to return myself or refer others. read more

I would have loved to give this place 5 stars for their on-paper service, but there are some things that happened from my experience that I couldn't give it 5 stars. I first went to Sundown for their affordable pricing on ceramic tint and life-time warranty. I scheduled a morning appointment and they took me in promptly. They told me it would take roughly 4 hours to do the back half o the car (4 windows), sun roof, and windshield, so I called a cab to take me to work. They certainly got it done in due time. 1) Tint Job: It was good, no bubbles as of 2 weeks from the job. The quality of the ceramic tint is definitely worth the price. I can definitely feel a significant heat reduction from the windshield and the interior all together. 2) Customer Service: Cordial and somewhat professional. I only say somewhat because I called them the same day I got my car back and told them that pieces of my door frame was left on the backseat. I could hear the front desk girl asking the guys in the back about the issue, and I could hear them laughing about it. I didn't find that respectable. I came back within an hour and drove straight to the garage rather than the parking lot. One of the guys took care of my door frame by piecing it back together quickly. 3) Vehicle Care: I noticed one long scuff/scratch on the inside of my driver door. I found it odd because they weren't even supposed to work on the driver window. I also noticed some small scuffs around the interior and it just disappointed me. Overall: The material and the the ACTUAL application of the window tint was good, but that can be done by a lot of other businesses. The care they put in my car makes me question if it was worth the money to go to Sundown. read more

I ordered some USA FLAGS black decals for my rear side windows on a 2022 Toyota 4Runner TRD Sport. I'm not good on installing decals. So I went to SUNDOWN window tinting. People always seem to think 3m is much better but it's actually more like a down grade . Don't be fooled by cheap pricing on tint or going through just any plug . Had my brand new F-350 tinted and also had PPF applied to the full front end. Dropped the truck off Monday and it was done Wednesday. Mitchell installed the PPF and did an amazing job. The tint also looks perfect. They also wanted me to revisit in a few weeks so they could go over the PPF to make sure everything looked good still. I like that they take pride in their work. For those of you out there wondering, this shop uses XPEL film, I highly recommend them! My visit was pricey, but I truly believe you get what you pay for. Recently got my 2022 Camry tinted here and they did an amazing job. I got 5 windows done with the ceramic tint and it's cooler in my car now than when I used regular tint. It took two days to get it done because I had aftermarket tint already installed and they even gave me a discount on having it removed. today---- was my appointment to take my 2019 Chevy Silverado all Star edition to SUNDOWN window tinting to have the windows tinted. I had all 5 windows tinted plus a sun visor tint installed. The young lady at the desk was very helpful and very knowledgeable with the window tint types that they carry. I opted for the ceramic tint, this tint color is the same shade as the factory tint that's on the rear 3 windows. I chose the medium on the two front sides and light on the three rear windows and a dark tint for the visor on the front windshield. This type of tint comes with a lifetime warranty. So that tells you right there that, this tint is of high-quality. My cost was $310.00 and I don't consider that a bad price at all. that's really decent price. Clean and neat waiting area, free coffee, I did peek at where they do the work at and it was neat and organized to. And to me that says something about the type of work they do. My Silverado looks beautiful and what a temperature difference inside now. And it's not too dark just dark enough. Amazing service. Exceptional quality window tints and great customer service. LONGTERM REVIEW - I had gotten tints on my driver and passenger windows back in November. The day of i was unsure on what to get, but the kind Clerk at the front desk had recommended for me to get 20% as that was what she had on her vehicle. I went along with her recommendation and dropped off the vehicle. It was ready in about an hour and a half which was faster than I had expected. There was no leftover residue on the doors or seats and no smudges on the windows. Pricing was fair and the ceramic film did not have any discoloration for the several months i had the tint, and had high clarity when driving at night. From November to July, the tints were still holding up exceptionally well and still had great clarity, and privacy. RE-TINTING - Having decided to want to darker tints due to the increasing heat and for more privacy, i decided to schedule an appointment in July. The clerk had me put in a $50 deposit to lock me in and I was all set for my appointment. The back three window tints I had were from a different place which was one of the reasons why I wanted to get them redone as it was cheap film that was starting to discolor. I had got the tints removed a day prior and had went in at 9AM on a Saturday to drop off my vehicle to get all five windows plus the windshield tinted. The vehicle was finished by around 1:30 which was on par with the time estimate that I was given. The darker tints looked phenomenal and made my car look even more sportier and luxurious than it previously was, for a Toyota. The vehicle was left in the same condition as I had left it with an exception of a small quarter sized stain on the backseat and some smudges on the windows but I did not mind this. I was given a goodie bag with window cleaner and some other small items which i greatly appreciated. OVERALL - Pricing was fair for getting all 6 windows tinted. Military discount was given, and the total for the ceramic film totaled to $450. Lifetime warranty comes with the tints which i will definitely use if i ever have issues later on. Overall a solid 10/10 for the place. My only recommendation is to call ASAP to schedule an appointment as they are booked several weeks in advance. I recommended this place to family and two of them loved the look on my car so much they scheduled to have theirs done too. read more

DO NOT GET TINTED HERE our car was brand brand new out of the lot brought in for tinting. When we picked up our car the interior has tons of scratches on the leather & the side panels and glue stains on the leather, even with the attempt to wipe them with interior spray the scratches don't come off. read more
