Started off well when we lived in a unit that associated brokers managed for a property owner so of…read morecourse response time and maintenance was a priority, but as soon as we transferred to a bigger unit that Bobby Orehoski owned himself, that all changed. The unit was THRASHED when we moved in from previous tenants and he promised to paint walls, and even redo the nasty stained linoleum flooring, he made many promises that were never fulfilled. Our upstairs neighbors who had been there for about 5 years even moved out specifically because of Bobby's lack of professionalism as a landlord of his own property units. We were smart enough to do the check in list and take before pictures of the damages that were present when we moved in. We moved out 3 months ago and spent 5 days cleaning the unit after moving. At the time of check out, Cathy came in and treated my husband like absolute scum. She talked down to him insulted him, was absolutely disrespectful. We have been waiting to receive some of the deposit back (which.is obviously why we worked so hard cleaning, scrubbing walls, floors, carpets cupboards, etc. but knew that there were a few things that would be deducted from the deposit) and just today, 3 months later, we find out that bobby completely remodeled the apartment and used our 1,000.00 deposit to do so. Maintenance requests took weeks of reminding bobby and most of the time were never conducted. Key tip for future tenants: be mindful whether or not your moving into a property that is just managed by cathy and bobby Orehoski, or is it one the bobby himself owns, take pictures and make copies of your check in list, you'll probably need it.

When we were finished renting the upstairs of our mother's home through PMI we were required to…read moresell it through them. They locked the front and side doors and left the basement door with its original lock so I could still get in to remove our property from the basement. Then without notice, Danial our realtor, locked the basement door so I could not finish getting things out and finish a wall repair. II called to ask Danial to let me in and to return things that had been taken. He said call your brother and hung up on me. He blocked all my phone calls. I had to go to another relator to get into our home. By then many more things had been taken. The realtor who let me into my home asked if I could open the garage door. Her client wanted to see how well the garage door opened, but she could not do it. Before I could look she said, "oh, the wires have been cut." I said, "that would be Danial. He will do anything to keep me out." Danial's write up on the house had many untruths, but he would not change it. He listed it as having double pain windows when there was not one in the whole house. He said there was a built in microwave oven, when there was not even a dedicated place for one. Then he would not list the things we wanted to list the most, like a washer and dryer. My brother asked Danial if he would turn on the gas meeter for tests to be done the next day. Danial said he would do it and that he has done it many times. I thought great, maybe Danial is not so bad after all. However, In the morning I found a text from our homes back yard neighbor. These are the exact words she texted me: "I smelled gas quite strongly outside before going to bed and so I called the Enbridge emergency line. After a lot of searching, they discovered that the gas meter at your mom's house was partially taken apart and was blowing natural gas everywhere. He is fixing it right now (at 2:45 am) and expects all to be well after he has reassembled the meeter. If we continue to smell gas we should call the emergency line again. I'll call you in the morning once I'm awake. It's has been an exceptionally long night!") It is difficult for me to believe someone would do this on purpose. I choose to believe his intentions were good but that he clearly does not know how to turn on a gas meeter. Because of all the theft, I reported Danial to the Utah Division of Realtors. Danial called my brother and told him if I did not cancel my complaint with him that he would take us to court and it could cost us tens of thousands of dollars and may take many years. My brother went ballistic. I have never heard him so afraid. I had not told my siblings I had filed a complaint. They don't live close and I had taken care of my mom and her house for many years. I had to resend my complaint for fear of our safety, both mentally and physically. * Dan never returned a single thing that was taken from the house. * PMI said they would return money left in my mom's account, but they never did.

From day 1, she guided us through our first home-buying experience, and quickly too! She took us on tours of new houses every day and helped comfort us when our first few offers weren't accepted - she would always tell us that the home we were supposed be in would come when it was the right time. Well, luckily the right time came soon after. Within a couple weeks, we toured a house and my wife said, "this is the one". Danette walked us through the offer and every single contract thereafter. She made sure we understood every little detail and fought for us until the very end. Without her, we would be doing a number of fixes ourselves to our new home. One thing I loved was that Danette was never pushy. She always explained both the good and the bad of each place and always had our best interest in mind. Also, her follow-up skills are unbeatable! Even to this day, a couple months after we closed, she remains in contact. I recommend her to anyone and everyone who is looking for an incredible realtor.
