My nails fell off super quick I went in on Monday Feb 27th they fell off Monday and Tuesday of that week my left was compromised I went that same weekend got them fix dude guaranteed it would stay on it didn't then on a week and a day Tuesday my majority right hand fell off I called in they said it's on me maybe my nail beds are oily that's it my fault I left my last salon cause the last set they did was poor she used that info against me to state her case I really did like the service but I don't like how my situation was handled no refund offer nothing not even a come back we will do a whole new set to top it off the dude that reapplied my nails used the same nail just did the gel x process he didn't start from scratch or anything I'm truly upset because the place was a vibe but clearly they didn't value me enough to keep me coming back since it was my first time there and I was a new client ... So upset, my first nail appointment after having a baby and moving across the country and they butchered my nails. I would go back to get them fixed but as a full time working mom, I don't have time to get these fixed or re-done. Went to this salon based on yelp reviews and am disappointed at best. The "no chip" is already starting to peel, half of one nail isn't painted at all, most nails are not painted on the edges, one nail is missing top coat and I left with a hang nail because they kept filing the edges instead of fixing the missing paint... I could have stayed home, cut up my own fingers for free and cover with bandaids (since that's what I'll be doing now), saved 2 hours of my day and $100. Not worth the time, wish I would have gone somewhere else. read more

The service here was very poor. The technician who serviced me took a very long time to finish the nails and then proceeded to only put two coats of dip on them. My nails are strong and have been my whole life but after leaving here they were very very weak. Less than 24 hours after my appointment, My nail chipped then broke off due to the weakness of the nails. I went in and asked for a refund because of this and they accused it of being my fault. I had not hit my nails on anything or participated in any activities that they would break from. The polish was on very weak and my nails were so weak that they chipped then broke. The technicians were very rude when I asked for this. I would not recommend, this was the worst nail service and customer service I have ever experienced. read more

I went there today to get a fill in. I was charged $47 for the man to just file and shorten my nails. Never used any chemicals to "fill in" my grow out! I said something, he said he did it but I was paying attention to the tv/movie that was playing. My nails are EXTREMELY thin. I know he didn't fill them in. I'm pissed! I tipped $10 too. Plus, I was there less then an hour. Usually it's almost two hours. I've been going to that salon for over 15years! Go else where!!! So the owner contacted me today. She conducts business by sending me 8 text messages and was very rude and bitchy! She still does not understand what happened but insists my wrong. Look I've been going there for sooo long! It's unfortunate because I like the employees there. Nothing against them personally. But I was lied too, charged for services I never received. My nails look great and I even praised the gentleman that did them. My box was never pulled either. I'm sad it had to come to this. But Ill go across the street and get my nails done from now on. I absolutely love Sunday's. I've been coming here for about seven months and I've never experienced any other nail shop like Sundays. I only did no chips before, but up until a few months ago my nails were at a length where they would break no matter what was applied, so I asked for a full set of gel to keep my nails. The owner and few other techs gave me the suggestion to do the SNS/dip wear it will help keep the length of my nails, they will remain strong, and it will not be damaging compared to a full set or no chip. Ill admit it, I was nervous because I did not know what SNS/dip was or just getting into it but it was right before my birthday trip and I told myself we'll why not! Let's try it! I did and I was IN LOVE. I've been getting dip manicures since then. Sunday's has up'd their game in dip manicures by doing cute designs and what not. I always go to Vi cause she understand me and she's just great. The other techs are great too but after having her a few times I got comfortable, so I always go to her. Everyone is very friendly, they do their best to be accommodating and honest. IT IS RECOMMEND TO MAKE AN APPOINTMENT AHEAD OF TIME. Don't be one of those ppl coming in on a Saturday before a holiday asking for everything and get mad cause there's a 45+ wait. They are very understanding, so ask questions, don't be ahead. I have no complaints about the pedicure I recieved. It's beautiful and very well done. I usually go to Sunday Nails as a weekday walk-in and have never been told to make an appointment. When I went there recently I couldn't help but notice the difference between my customer service experience and another walk-in who arrived after me. I have pretty low expectations as far as customer service at nail salons, but the difference between our treatment was almost comical. The other individual was asked many polite and engaging questions, urged to take their time with every decision, and offered a drink of their choice (???) while I was treated in the expected/regular way. It's been a while since I've pampered myself with a manicure and pedicure since probably July of 2019. I've been looking for a new place but honestly, I didn't know where to go. I've seen this salon for years. My sister-in-law and her mom had gone there since they lived in the area for many years and when I was looking for another place to go, I remembered. I called on a Wednesday afternoon to make an appointment for Saturday morning. I invited my cousin-in-law to join me. I was so excited when we got to the salon and we were the first ones there!!! Jackpot! I let them know that I had an appointment at 10am and that I was there for a manicure and pedicure. The manicurist, Nancy, took care of both my manicure and pedicure and she was amazing! She helped me pick a color and she gave me a little box that contained my own buffer & nail file. She put a sticker that had my name and gave me a card that she advised me that with 5 "punches" I would get $5 off. And because we were the first ones in the salon, our services took about an hour. I cannot wait to go back... the atmosphere was so relaxing and I am so relaxed after sitting in the pedicure massage chair. read more

Fast and cheap, and you get what you pay for. This isn't the kind of place for picky manicures or pedicures, nor would this place ever be confused with a foofy-foo salon. Other than the nail techs chit-chatting amongst themselves in Thai, no one engages customers in much more than hellos and thank yous. They also don't seem to clean much between customers. I didn't see anyone sanitizing pedicure tubs or wiping table tops after manicures. The floor was grungy in places. As for the manicure, the cuticle work was fantastic. I've never been asked to wash my hands in a sink in the next room halfway through a manicure; most places spray a sterilizer and wipe down nail beds with a clean white towel. Not here. Gauging from the photos and reviews, this place is known for good decorative press-ons. read more

Never ever go into this nail spa on a Saturday morning without an appointment. Hannah, asked me if I had an appointment and I said " no, do I need to make an appointment?" She said "the wait will be 30 minutes." I sat down and picked out a color. I sat calmly and waited, but something told me to just leave, and come back another day. I decided to stay, and that was a major mistake. I told Hannah, that I needed to soak off my nails, and she seemed agitated by me. She quickly dismissed me with the wave of her hand. My turn came and I got charged $20 for a soak off and a terrible manicure. The guy ripped my nail off and made me bleed. I usually have a great experience at this nail spa, but I'm so sad that I could not get my nails done here. I should've just called for an appointment for a later day. read more

Before moving to Chicago I rarely got my nails done, only for special occasions and such. As I came up here in October for my cousin's wedding, I dropped in Sunday nails I was greeted with a lot of hellos and an overall pleasant vibe. I was impressed with the professionalism and friendliness of everyone that worked there and enjoyed seeing the rapports built between "regulars" and the staff. I moved here in November and promptly made my way back to Sunday Nails. Hong has now done my nails every 3-4 weeks since and I am never disappointed with the quality or service provided. I wanted to like this place! :( My 1st visit was pleasant. I called from 10 minutes away and asked if I could be seen for a Dip manicure, and I was squeezed in. Lots of color choices, my manicure lasted about 2 weeks. My 2nd visit, however, was very disappointing. I made an appointment for a Sunday afternoon to get a Dip manicure and a regular pedicure. When I arrived, I waited over 30 minutes before being seen, and then both my manicure and pedicure were extremely rushed given there were several other people waiting and very few people working. When I got home, I re-examined my manicure and it looked splotchy and unfinished. A day later, two nails had already chipped, now 8 days later 5 of my nails have chipped. I've been getting Dip manicures for years and I've never had that happen before. I work long hours and travel a lot, so it's not easy for me to just go back and have the shop fix my nails. I'm going to have to find another time and place to get this corrected, which is frustrating. read more
