Yes he had! Lacquered doors, quartz counter, porcelain basin, beautiful faucet and soft-closing doors and drawers. As Ammar went off to get the price list I braced myself. I was expecting it to be really expensive compared to what we saw at Rona. Sure it was more expensive but you're getting what you pay for. We also got a toilet there and even its design is elegant (hey it's your porcelain throne right?) and simple. If you don't think items like vanities and toilets are exciting you should have a look in here. Drool-worthy for sure!

He said he showed the pictures to his supervisor, and that a rough estimate for the work to be done was in the $8,000-$10,000 range. I made an appointment with Joe to come to our house and make a formal estimate and explain my different options for cabinet doors etc. The appointment was for 1:00 pm. At 1:35, he was not at the house yet so I called him and asked if he was on his way. He said he had been "half-way there," and called us, but no one answered so he assumed we were busy and he apparently turned around and left. When I checked later, it seems he did call my cel, but I did not get his call and his number is not identified. He did not leave a message at all. When I spoke with him on the phone he said that the estimate was now about $15,000 with a countertop and $10,000 without one.( I was not asking or interested in a countertop.) He did not explain why he decided to cancel our appointment or why he would call but leave no message.If he had identified himself in a message, I could have called him back. I asked him if this is usually the way Kitchen Tune up does business and gives estimates. I explained that we had had an appointment to get an estimate in writing. I asked him if he was coming to the house at all, and he said it would be another 40 minutes if I wanted him to turn up. I then explained that Kitchen Tune Up had lost my business and I would be using a company that conducted themselves more professionally.

But they were very well-priced. I looked into several retail-level custom closet companies including California closets. They were all similarly priced (easily 3x more than my contractor's contacts, or even more). But among them all, California stood out for their service. I dealt with Kayla, who came to my home to take measurements. She drafted a design. Modified it to my preferences several times. Their software is super slick and I got sent 3D previews. Most impressive is their incorporation of all the obstructions, sprinklers, switches, etc on the walls which are shown in the animated previews too. You get a very good idea of the final product. Come installation day, 2 guys showed up to do all the work. They were slow, but having seen contractors do work for years now, these guys were definitely meticulous. I cannot complain about any of the service provided from design to installation, or the final product. Top notch, as far as closets go. There are a ton of customization options. Whats wrong with California closets? well, they are expensive. very expensive. And any extra choices beyond basic closets is a substantial upcharge. But I do not regret it. a One-time investment with lifetime warranty.

They kept me informed on my order, the pricing was transparent and within our budget (Heather was very accommodating of that in the design) and the workmen (Ebrahim and Sayed) who arrived on the day were meticulous in both their workmanship and keeping the place tidy so that we could still move around. They were done in the exact time they said and noticed flaws before I did which were rectified before they left the site, The end result in our garage, dining room and bedroom is fantastic. I cannot recommend them highly enough. They admit they are not the cheapest but I can tell say that the value for the price paid is more than worth it!
