I recently had my whole kitchen renovated and I was initially unsure of what to expect as this is my first renovation. I was highly impressed with the customer service, skills and technique of this company. Yes, due to unforeseeable circumstances there was a delay in some of the cabinets arriving as they were from overseas. However, I think the communication through this transition was amazing. Buyer beware. If you do any level of new construction and/or renovation and timely and accurate ordering and delivery is important to you, then stay far away from Prime Cabinets. From the designers to the ownership, everyone is a "yes man". The concept of customer service is lost on these folks; they simply do not care. Everything will look perfect until you pay that deposit and then you'll start to see the red flags. One thing will be written and/or recorded and you will receive something entirely different. The "designers" simply don't pay attention and you find out your order is wrong after it has been delivered, despite numerous confirmations beforehand. It is extremely challenging to work with people that say one thing and then ultimately do something else. The worst part is that as the customer, you are blamed. In my situation, I had visual proof (paper trail) showing that the designer made a major measurement error, even after final confirmations and after I was told all requests have been correctly submitted, and this was brushed off entirely. This is a clueless company. Customer service aside, the big issue is all of their cabinets are made overseas in China. This has nothing to do with quality but has everything to do with timing. From the beginning, you'll be waiting at least 12 weeks for initial delivery; everything is sent via boat in containers. If something goes wrong, you'll wait another 12 weeks (15 weeks in my case) during which time I was given continual lies about the order status: "it will be two weeks", "it will be two more weeks", "it has arrived", "it will still be four more weeks". Yes, you are reading this correctly. After being told "it has arrived", it was another four weeks until it actually arrived. You have to ask yourself: why would they lie about this? Or do they simply have zero control and insight into their own supply chain? I do not know which is worse. If you've worked with this type of cabinet company before, you'll know that something **always** goes wrong due to their incompetence. Had I known how clueless these people are, I would have stayed far away. This is what happens when you focus on price before quality. A lesson learned for me that I hope those reading this do not repeat. If you want speed, accuracy and quality, stick with a local company that manufactures locally. Cost may be marginally higher but you'll have a better outcome with more timely results. The response times will be faster and you'll get your order much quicker. Within one kilometer of this company are 10 other cabinet companies to choose from. Seriously shop around before even remotely considering these guys. Trust me, this will save you a lot of time and likely money too overall, with less headache. The old saying really is true: "you get what you pay for". Buyer beware. read more

Stay far away from this company. The review below is bang on! Once i paid my first deposit everything fell apart. So many things were ordered wrong and I was blamed for it. There are no contracts and when you go in to go over your drawings things are written in pencil and never given to the customer so it becomes your word vs theirs. We had them do our kitchen, laundry, powder and master bedroom and this has been an awful experience. We have been working with the owner and been given so many "yes" and "noted" responses to things and none were fulfilled. Their slogan is "if you can dream it, we can build it" this is false. They can build you a basic kitchen. Throw design and trend in there and he was clueless and told me they didn't do it. I wanted inset cabinetry. I showed him the photos he said yes they did that. Then when we moved into drawings and they weren't in the drawings I asked where they were, he says, 'oh i thought you were asking if we did shaker we don't do inset cabinets.' This should have been a red flag for me. I then asked if my shaker could be thinner than 2". He assures me yes, sends off my drawings and takes my money and i get a call, 'oh so our manufacturer won't do less than 2". We are 5 weeks into this process now so starting over was not really where i wanted to go. I wish i did! We sent all the specs to victor the owner. He made the hood fan opening too small, dishwasher panel too big and microwave insert not centered. He had excuses for everything and blamed it all on me. Now we are trying to finish our job (which should have finished in november) and he's refusing to complete without full payment. A 10% holdback is industry standard and based on the above why would I pay in full before completion? read more
