I purchased tiles from star tile for a kitchen reno I was doing. From the moment I walked in, JoAn…read morewas very helpful. She let me take out as many tile samples as I needed (which she kindly put back afterwards). I took home 7 samples to show my husband (which she didn't charge me a deposit for). We decided on one which ended up needing to be ordered from Ontario. Which I was told would take 2 weeks. I made the order by phone with another women who works there (I don't remember her name). She was also very lovely. She called the supplier and got a date for the tiles. They guarantee it would arrive in 3 weeks. Since this was longer than the first timeline, I was worried it would be even longer, and I already had the contractor ready for the install. The tiles arrived on time as promised and they arranged delivery for me (also on time, no hassle). When I recieved the tiles I noticed that one of the packages was broken. I called and they said not to worry, they would reimburse me. After a bit of a scary moment (not knowing if we'd have enough for the floor because it turned out two boxes were brokwn) it all worked out. Star tile refunded me for the two boxes without any hassle. They were really great to deal with. Highly recommended.

For example, there were less than 20 options for the cabinet design/colour/material, and they could not be customized that much. But again, the countertop had a massive selection and even though we selected a more basic/budget one, it worked out really well in the end. Their team handled the installation and heavy lifting (and I mean heavy, they lugged everything up a flight of stairs with no complaints). Would definitely go with them again in the future.

The drawers are soft closing with wood sides and dove tail joints. We were able to do some customization to meet our needs with slightly deeper upper cabinets and a wall cabinet that was on a diagonal by the phone. Our salesperson Andy was extremely patient and helpful to make sure I didn't make any mistakes. The installer came on time and did an excellent job. He was very precise and experienced. He was even able to add another shelf to our pantry the day of install. Much appreciated. We recommend Vancouver Cabinets due to their quality and price. While tiles looked nice in the showroom the quality was poor when we received all boxes. Big variations from piece to piece on the mosaic sheets, unequal gaps, not straight, etc. It made it impossible for the tile setter to complete the job. The first time, they were the first store we went to and we would dub them later "the expensive flooring store." The second time was to book our floor install because, as it turned out, they were not the most expensive at all. In fact, they had the floor we WANTED at the price we NEEDED. A few general comments: 1. They have a full range of products - so talk to them, they will help you narrow down what is best for your particular conditions. 2. We worked with Garth Burak who was very, very helpful and super responsive to inquiries. 3. THEIR INSTALL TEAM WAS DUCKING AWESOME. Fransico was THE MAN and had more hustle in his baby finger than most people have in their whole body. He busted his but to get the demo done in a day. Huge. KUDOS. Alex was the site forman and he was also awesome, super communicativ. 4. The floors look gorgeous. The team cleaned up after themselves. I can't say enough good things about the experience.

Before they arrived, it was in a very rough situation being on a hard slope with some uneven ground and just an overall mess. Not only did they do a great job remodeling the inside of the home, but I was also very satisfied with the end result on the landscape side of things. Everything looks clean and presentable at this point which is all I wanted. As far as the patio goes, it couldn't have been done better by my estimation. I got the flooring I've always wanted and the squeaky/shaky stairs have finally been fixed after tormenting us for months. They added a small rock wall and added a whole new patio roof. I'm really loving the end product on all of the projects we had them work on. Had to wait 3 weeks for them to start, and another 2 to finish everything up.

All I can say is, wow. What a good job. The outcome looks like something you might see in the magazines; much better than I would've expected for the price.
