He promised I'd get a quote in 2-3 days, and nothing for 10 days was received. Then I get a call from another associate who said that the job was delegated to him, and he was clueless about what I wanted and started asking all the questions all over again!!! Just told him that with this kind of customer service I wouldn't trust them with my job. Two weeks of precious time wasted! Not recommended at all.

One of the boxes arrived completely destroyed and contained random parts from three different systems. We contacted customer service immediately and made multiple calls over the span of two months -- often waiting on hold for hours -- and were repeatedly assured the issue would be resolved. After all that wasted time and effort, we were told that the only option was to disassemble everything and return the items for a refund -- as if they were doing us a favor. By that point, the units were partially assembled and the boxes were long gone, which any reasonable customer would expect not to need anymore. They refused to reimburse us for the packaging or offer any alternative solution. Given the amount of time we already spent trying to resolve this issue, the company should have issued a full refund without requiring further inconvenience. Instead, they asked us to spend even more time disassembling the product and arranging shipment, which shows a complete lack of respect for their customers' time and effort. Disorganized, unprofessional, and dishonest. Stay far away from this company.

Bathman replied to our email in a day stating he was booking jobs out four months approx. This timeline worked for us so Bathman suggested coming at noon a few days later to quote. He showed up on the agreed on date but was approximately an hour late. No worries for us, but apparently our parking was problematic for the Shower Tile Crusader. When my partner greeted him as he exited his truck he ignored any polite greeting to complain that the short term parking was not acceptable if he took the job/how did we expect him to park for the job, etc. Note: we have a parkade he could use for when/if he took the job. My partner was so taken back by his attitude she wished him a good day. Bathman left in his Bathmobile without any further questions a hello or a goodbye. Never even got inside to quote as his attitude was an impediment.

I had a small bathroom project that needed to be done before I moved into my new house. My realtor's bathroom guy flaked on the project, as did the first contractor I hired. Sharam managed to be the only contractor I dealt with who did the following things: 1) Provided me a quote that included a timeline (necessary for the strata) 2) Gave me suggestions for fixtures/etc. so that I didn't have to run around the city to preferred suppliers 3) Gave me good design suggestions One of the hesitations I had with Sharam was that his website has a lot of bathroom designs that were far outside of the modern aesthetic that I was interested in for my project. Additionally his online presence on review sites isn't great compared to other companies, which could mean anything. I'm happy to say that neither concern was valid, as the work looked modern and great, and he was easy to deal with, with the work coming in around budget ( I changed scope a few times ) and on time (despite the change in scope). I'd recommend him for this kind of bathroom project to anyone, he clearly knows what he's doing and he's reliable, which seems to be a rarity in anything related to house renovation. I have a few minor gripes - he was late when I scheduled him to quote the project ( he was never late again ) and my strata was wanting specific times for when loud work was happening, which he didn't provide -- in the end he kept the noise levels under control despite doing tile cutting and other potentially loud work so it wasn't a big deal

Having done a lot of our own research as to the different types of flooring available to us, our next step was whether retailers would have what we liked. We found many did not have the selection to give us more choice. We needed to find a good retailer who has good customer service and has staff who do excellent installation because we were not going to do it ourselves. At one big box retailer we were not too impressed by their impersonal sales staff, because they provided us with limited information on what would be involved to have the existing carpet removed and have the underlay and the new floor installed. A good friend had used Metrotown Floors and Interiors before and had referred us to contact them with our flooring project. So we made some time to contact them and to go visit their showroom. The showroom had a very good selection of all types of good to high quality flooring. The customer service representative Al Eris welcomed us as we came through the door. He asked us what was our plan and what needed to be done. Then, he made a home visit to measure the work space and bring up any concerns that needed to be addressed. For example, what baseboards could be used that would go best with the current door frames, trimming of the doors, and to consider that we may need to level the underground floor before installing the underlay and the new flooring. We were impressed by Al's professionalism and his attention to detail. So impressed that we chose to go with Metrotown Floors. Once we chose the underlay and flooring we wanted Al was quick to give us samples of the product, and he advised us of the cost estimate within a reasonable amount of time. He put the time and effort into understanding our needs and he was there for us before, during, and even after our job was completed. Reaching out to us to see if we had any concerns with the installation and if we are satisfied with his customer service and the hard working staff who did the installation. Their pricing was very competitive with other suppliers and their installers were top notch. I would highly recommend Metrotown to anyone looking for new flooring and cabinetry.
