Most of everyone else acted like they didn't want to be there and that's including the optometrist!!! They were generally not friendly or communicative. The doctor did the exam but gave me I wish I had gone into a different profession vibes lol. She answered my questions and she did her job but nothing about the experience made me want to return. She also couldn't hone in on my prescription but I'd rather her test two than have me leave struggling to see which definitely has happened before (particularly at night which is constant and I've learned to live with). The lady at the checkout, order contacts desk turned out to be super cool. We had a really good conversation while going through the rest of the process. We talked about all kind of stuff (favorite food, dating) lol. I did buy their membership cause it was a few dollars more so next year I'll return for my exam but after that, well TBD.

They confirmed that they have been having that one for 2 days while the other lady told me that they don't have it. 2 days later I've got an email from UPS saying that my order has arrived to 977, I called the same unprofessional store manager Natasha and she said that she didn't received it, I kept calling for 3 days, on tje 3rd day she said that she got it but she is busy and doesn't have time to cancel the order that day, and she said that she will cancel it next day. This is a terrible location!!! Don't shop here unless you want to be ripped off…read more TLDR; this store lies about Sunglass Hut policies in order to get money and does not care one bit about customer service. I went in to exchange a pair of Pradas I had purchased online. The email from Sunglass Hut with my receipt clearly stated "return or exchange at any Sunglass Hut location." When I arrived, I told the salesperson that I'd be exchanging the pair I bought online. He said "ok" and held onto the pair for me while I shopped. I will say, he was extremely nice and helpful, but that didn't even kind of make up for the rest of my experience. After spending an hour or so shopping and helping my mom pick out a pair of glasses, we went to check out. I decided to surprise my mom by purchasing her pair, too. However, when we went to check out, the salesman didn't know how to do the exchange. He called for the manager/owner (not sure which) who told me that she couldn't exchange them. When I asked why nobody told me that at the beginning, she told me that the salesman didn't know about this policy. Hmmm. She then told me my only option would be to return the pair I bought online and then purchase the others from her. She also said she couldn't do the refund in her store but could mail them in for me. I showed her the email that said I could return or exchange them at any location. She said, "yea, for us to mail them in." That makes ZERO sense. I can mail them in myself. Why would I need to take them to a store to mail them for me?! At this point, I didn't want to let my sweet mom down as she had finally found a pair she was excited about, and since it was a "buy one get one half off" sale, if I didn't also buy mine, hers would be full price and she would've never let me do that. So, I sucked it up and bought both pairs, spending far more than I had planned. Fast forward to today. The case for the Prada sunglasses I bought in this store had fallen apart. I don't know if this is typical for these cases, but for the money these sunglasses cost, one would hope a case would last. I took the case into the store expecting they'd say, "oh, let us grab you another." Nope. First, they say they'll have to order me another one. I said, "ok, that's fine. Can you ship it to my house?" Nope. They can only ship to their store. Weird. So, I wait while the guy at the counter enters a bunch of stuff into his computer. About 10 minutes later, he tells me it's going to be $53. For a case!!! For a case I just got TWO months ago!!! I said, "it's two months old. There's not any kind of warranty or anything?" He said, "for a case?? No." I told him I'd just deal with Prada, then. I'm not giving this store $53 for a freaking sunglasses case to replace one I just got here two months ago. SMH. Everything about both of my experiences screams that they are deceitful and make excuses to scam people out of money. I don't believe for one minute that Prada would charge a retailer of their product $53 to replace a case that fell apart. I personally will never spend another penny at this store and will be contacting Sunglass Hut corporate as I have a feeling this store is not operating within the terms of their franchise agreement. Oh, and btw, I found a brand new replacement case for $19 on eBay. Ha!! And, yes, it is authentic.

It is really quite large with a diverse type of stores represented, there are over 140 so there are a lot to shop at. The mall is an open one so might not be the best place to shop on a rainy day or when Houston summer temperatures are up around 100 degrees. There are several sets of high covered rooftops over the walkways but not everywhere so in the rain, you might be dodging some raindrops. In the end I had a good walk around, some stores were already closed for the evening, I think this center gets most traffic in the day time and especially on weekends. But it was nice to have a walk around and look inside store windows at the merchandise for sale.

I found great deals at Chico's, Lululemon was a major disappointment, and Swarovski was good. Chico's has a pretty store with very helpful sales associates. They were friendly and attentive. I got wonderfully good personal service. 7 tops, one bathing suit coverup, and 2 pair of pants for $148.76. Not bad at all! All great colors and styles for my upcoming cruise! Lululemon was a madhouse! Everyone was all over the place like ants. The music was super load, the store was messy, and the prices were nothing to write home away. They wanted $98.00 for a tiny purse. No thank you. I was in there less than 4 minutes. Swarovski was a good wrap up. I found the crystal figurine I had been wanting. She was marked down from $88.00 to $55.00! The guy and girl who helped me were both very friendly. They had other great sales going. Most everything in the store was 30% to 50% off. I hit some other stores while I was there. They have a great Hey Dude shoe store, a nice Vera Bradley, and large Simply Southern, and good sized Samsonite luggage store. The mall space is outdoors, but the majority is covered. It was great weather the day I went. It's a wonderful way to get your steps in and enjoy fresh air while shopping. They have a small food court with 4-5 vendors. A Chinese place, a cheesesteak place, and a couple others. It's pretty small, but it will suffice if you are hungry. They also have individual vendors in the shopping space between store who sell popcorn, hotdogs, corn in a cup and more. The stores are all numbered. The numbering system is a bit confusing as one side of the aisle is the 800s and the other side is 100s. Large standing maps are available throughout and the stores also have paper maps. Happy shopping!
