Only thing wrong was we had a screen room up that simply didn't attach to the awning. It's freestanding which didn't meet their rules for some reason. It was set up and tied down appropriately. We had it to keep the baby out of the sun. Keep in mind it had been up all day without question. They drove but multiple times. Then she requested we move guest vehicles. That's very reasonable. Then barely described where to park them and said oh don't worry about it. They're literally here for dinner only. She only introduced herself when I asked her name and who she was. Apparently, she told some guy we got in her face. I have plenty of witnesses that can say that wasn't true. So he comes over to start more issues. He didn't want to give his name or any information. Finally said he was one of the 3 part owners but refused to give info. Needless to say, awesome park and land but totally not worth dealing with this drama. We have been camping many places and never had anything like this happen. Start a conversation professional and things will go better for us all. Thanks for ruining our trip when we would have been happy to accommodate. I refuse to stay here again. Beware.

Before arriving, I even received an email confirming that exact site. When I checked in, I was told they had given my reserved site to someone else and moved me to a different spot. The whole reason I booked so far in advance was to secure that particular location, so this completely defeated the purpose of planning ahead. What made the situation even worse was how it was handled. The manager never apologized or acknowledged the mistake. Instead, I was met with an attitude that made it seem like my frustration wasn't justified. A sincere apology and some accountability would have gone a long way. To "make it right," they offered a 20% discount, which honestly felt insulting given that they failed to honor a confirmed reservation on a special occasion. It wasn't about the money--it was about keeping their commitment and treating customers with respect when they make a mistake. Unfortunately, what should have been a memorable birthday started with disappointment because of the park's poor reservation management and lack of customer service. I hope they improve their processes and, more importantly, learn how to take responsibility when they let their guests down.

We stayed here for 3 nights after booking a site online using the KOA App, this is a very easy…read moreprocess and although we weren't assigned a site at the time of booking we were able to book a premium site being we were staying a few days. There are a lot of RV Sites and Cabins here along with a spacious tent camping area. We stayed at site F1 which is on the far side of the campground some complain about the traffic noise from Interstate 10 we did not have any issues it was barely noticeable. Our premium site had a concrete pad which was very level it also had a nice concrete / paver patio complete with a brick fire pit and a clean gas grill with a full bottle of propane. This site is on the end so we only had one friendly neighbor on one side and the sites were separated by a tall hedge so plenty of privacy. The full hook ups lined up perfectly with our Class A Motorhome so I only need the minimum length of water and sewer hoses and less than 10 of my 50 Amp electric cord all the utilities work fine and there was good water pressure. The check-in process was fast and easy, Lincoln was working the counter and he explained everything I needed to know and provided me with a map and directions to our site (no escort needed), there was plenty of room on the paved drive to maneuver our rig in and out of the park. We didn't really use any of the amenities but there seemed to be many if that's your thing. This is an excellent location if you want to travel to the beaches, its about 21 miles to Navarre and the town of Milton is just a few miles from the campground. There is also a Piggly Wiggly grocery store a mile or so away and plenty of fuel options including diesel close by. Whether you just need an over-night stop or planning to spend a few days in the area, this is a great choice and a KOA I'll book again in the future...

The only negative I can come up with is the fact that if you cannot make your reservation for whatever reason, they are not going to refund you. They will only give you a voucher to be used in the next 365 days. I am not crazy about that. They should be a little more understanding about that. As we're traveling through the Mojave desert, we experienced not one but two blowouts doing extensive damage to our fifth wheel trailer. We had to cancel our trip and return home and put our trailer in the repair shop for well over a month. As we were calling the 15 RV sites that we had secured reservations at all of them were very understanding and we were able to cancel our reservations minus a $20 cancellation fee at most parks. Some of the parks even waived the cancellation fee then we had to deal with Santa Rosa RV park on the Gulf Coast of Florida. They offered us a one-year voucher to come back and stay with them. I explained that that was not an option, as we were not able to reschedule this trip within a year, and I asked if there was a way that we could come to an agreement that would somehow reduce the $340+ payment that we had made, their response was "we must stick with our policy". Well, I do understand policy, I do also recognize customer service and flexibility. I would recommend not staying at Santa Rosa RV park as there are many options in the area that do appreciate the customer. However, if you choose to stay there, good luck. Thanks, Steve
