I've never been more frustrated in a company in my life. I don't even know how to begin. We bought our house three months ago and still cannot get anything done because they are incapable of doing their job... it's clear this company is cutting costs at every possible opportunity and it shows. They are impossible to get ahold of. Anytime you call and can speak to a person they cannot find any information. Every time we call they have told us a different name or email is on the account. They have no records of our transactions and we are still unable to set up an online account to pay online, as the account number we were given is not enough characters. This company is TERRIBLE!! SunStrong Management has somehow managed to make an already frustrating situation worse than it was under Sunnova. When they assumed these accounts, there was absolutely no sense of urgency about servicing them. Five months later, it still feels like they haven't even gotten started. Communication has been practically nonexistent. Customers were given little to no explanation about the transition process, the timing, or what to expect. Every time I log into the portal or call the support line, it feels like the system is designed to avoid answering basic questions rather than provide real help. Customer support has been particularly disappointing. Out of the five representatives I've spoken with, four had either very heavy accents or minimal English proficiency, making it extremely difficult to communicate or get clear answers. Even when I do manage to get through to someone, they rarely seem able - or willing - to actually address the issue. Today I was told that SunStrong is still working on uploading the information they received from Sunnova into their system. They said they started this process back in November. Here we are five months later, and they can't even provide an ETA for when it will be finished. Meanwhile, customers like me are losing out on renewable energy credits for power we're sending to the program because SunStrong can't get its systems in order. The lack of transparency, urgency, and competent support is unacceptable. If this is how they plan to handle inherited accounts, it doesn't inspire much confidence in their ability to manage anything effectively. Glad I was home because an appt was scheduled for next Monday, not today Friday. The majority of the companies interaction are with artificial intelligence. Anything to do with a PPA buyout or termination buyout is next to impossible to get. Sunstrong took over my Sunnova account, which was on autopsy for years. After the initial notification of this months ago, I called them to set up autopay. Apparently, after doing this, there was an error by the rather inarticulate CSR on the phone. I then started getting daily collection calls from robocallers asking ME to call back and spend time negotiating their phone tree. Then, I got someone on the line, explained the situation and again, set up autopsy. Got an email proving it. The next day, collections calls resumed. Again, I spoke with another CSR who explained the autopay had been set up but I owed for the month before (God forbid they credit the month for the inconvenience). I paid. The next month... the SAME thing happened again. I CALLED, RESETUP MY AUTOPAY. Guess what, getting daily collection calls again. Would you trust this company with your financial information? Contacted the CEO via LinkedIn (being a journalist and compliance officer myself), and got NO REPLY. Getting daily collection calls still, despite having three rounds of emails showing I am enrolled in autopay. This feels like a scam and I am strongly considering the involvement of my state AG as I can't be the only one here in Sunnova's operating area being harassed by Sunstrong. read more

I contacted support to get access to a failed device that a solar repair company wants to check out. The reply was from someone whose reading comprehension skills are below average, who told me they do not offer support, and who advised me to take actions I had already taken. As for monitoring, I prepaid for a year for an application that tells me my batteries are 100% charged, when in fact they are dead. The dead batteries are the reason I hired a company in the first place. Support did not address my monitoring application issue or offer to forward my message to the correct department, assuming there is one. Despite my simple request for access to an essential component of a broken system, and my being a monitoring subscriber in good standing, SunStrong is ignoring me. This company will do anything to avoid any kind of warranty work. I've been trying to get them to service a defective panel on my home for 12 months. They keep saying my system is working within an acceptable range. When asked what that range was their answer is 80% and above. My contract doesn't anywhere say I may have to accept to only get 80% of the system I am paying for. Nowhere. It just states the size of my system. If I am not getting the full capacity that I am paying for, it will cost me money. I asked if they would accept 80% of my payment. The person I was speaking to did not have answer, but I'm pretty sure they won't. The panel is not being affected by any environmental issues. I sent 13 pictures, covering 12 months, of the app showing the panel only producing 57%. It is a defective panel and they refuse to honor any warranty. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY. We have been ignored, misinformed and unable to make contact with a human being from October until today. We submitted a request to transfer the lease to no avail, follow up or acknowledgement. We received a confirmation and a timeline to pay for the transfer, but no way to pay. Do they not have someone to reach out to confirm or provide a way to pay? After at least 40 (FORTY) calls later, we got on the phone with someone who is not trained, helpful, nor able to provide us with a supervisor. Yet we can hear a ton of chatter in the background. How is this acceptable? We are closing on our home next week and this has been a problem for MONTHS. We have done everything but show up on their doorstep. Sunstrong has has poor customer service once you get through the ridiculous phone tree. Sunstrong has not provided a signed contract between my account and Sunstrong because there is none yet still will not try to provide anything along these lones. Sunstrong has a poor online platform that originally was charging accounts trilions of dollars while asking for banking information. Sunstrong has not responded to 1 request for contact (5 since november). I feel that there is a natural assumption from Sunstrong that former Sunnova customers will just pay bills unquestioningly and that is not the case. Sunstrong needs to communicate and in fact do something for the Sunnova customers proving that there is in fact a service they are providing besides buying out an already poor (sunnova) company. read more

I am a former Sunnova customer and have had nothing but issues with SunStrong Management. My autopay has been set-up but doesn't actually work. It took four weeks, countless emails and over 5 calls to get help but I don't think the issue is actually resolved. Speaking to their customer support is reminiscent of speaking to hackers that are trying to steal from your grandma. There is always an inordinate amount of noise in the background and these weird delays between each sentence that the rep says. It is very unsettling. I hate working with this company and wish I could just get rid of this lease so I could start fresh with a more reputable company. Sunstrong corporation is one of the worst solar companies out there on the market. I had purchased My Home solar through Sunnova and unfortunately, they were bought out by Sun Strong. Since the company merger, there has been nothing but problems with their customer service and billing department when contacting the company I had been on hold for over four hours to have a little resolved when I finally got a hold of somebody. The customer service department is very limited on what they can do and if you request to view a policy that they are stating in writing, they refuse to give it to you. They operate what seems to be a very shady business. I highly recommend going elsewhere so you can avoid the headache They also started overcharging me more than my agreed contract amount and it was extremely difficult to make the correction I had requested my solar buyout because my system is a lease and it's still been three months and they have not been able to provide the information I have nothing good to say about this company unfortunately. Pissed off customer here from Sunnova. So based on the reviews here, looks like new management but same BS. Anyways I have repairs waiting for over a year and still no movement. I want so much to give new management a chance, in good faith, but so far it does not look like anything has changed. Somebody else mentioned "has anybody contacted an attorney"? I am not sure if there is an arbitration clause in the contract agreements but seeking legal reparations is definitely something that should be looked into.
