Pricing was very fair. It is difficult to find painters on Whidbey Island in the summer. I happened upon Jeff as he was painting our neighbors house down the street. He managed to not only work our place in, but started working almost immediately. I could not recommend Erickson's Painting higher. I have recommend Jeff to several of our neighbors who have gone on to hire Jeff.

I hired this company for what should've been a straightforward project: kitchen trim, a subway tile…read morebacksplash, and some drywall. I explained everything clearly -- multiple times in person and over text -- and even emphasized "subway tile" at least ten times. But from the start, things felt disorganized. They no-showed more than once, without any call or warning. My roommate and I both had to take time off work -- using vacation hours -- just to be home for them. Each time, we were left waiting in silence. One visit was delayed due to a car accident, which I completely understand -- but even then, I had to text hours later just to find out what happened. They didn't reach out on their own. Communication was a constant struggle. Texts and calls would go unanswered unless it was about their issue or schedule. When I needed answers -- even simple confirmations -- I was met with radio silence. I was also left to buy far more materials than we agreed upon -- not just the backsplash, but nearly everything. It became clear there was no planning on their end. Then came the breaking point: while on-site, one of the workers accidentally turned on my stove and walked away. My roommate, who was supervising, caught it just in time -- after the kitchen had already filled with smoke. That could've turned into a real disaster. Despite all of this -- the no-shows, the poor communication, the extra costs, the fire risk -- they refused to refund the deposit. According to them, too much work had been done. But in reality, only minor prep had even started. I have all the messages, call logs, and receipts to back this up. What I experienced was disorganization, carelessness, and a complete lack of accountability. I can't recommend this company to anyone. If you value your home, your time, or your safety, find someone else.

We waited for the window of good weather, and the team punctually and diligently completed the work in 4.5 days. The team was meticulous, clean, and careful. I am seeing a ton of positive things said about this company and that's great, however my…read moreexperience with Legacy Painting have not gone very well and after almost 2 months reflecting on this, I'm ready to share my thoughts. For starters we were looking to have our house painted. We had 3 estimates and based on professionalism and price, Legacy was the clear winner. 2 other positive things I'll say is the guy that wrote up the contract including repairs to the house and the gentleman who pressure washed the house were also good. This is where things get negative. The painters are Spanish and my wife and I are English and all communication was never very clear. There were days they waved goodbye and I replied "all done for the day" and they reply yes. But a few hours later they show up and go back to work. Normally this wouldn't be a big deal, but we have a dog that's not so stranger friendly and they opened the back gate why our dog was in the backyard. My wife tried letting the woman know "please don't come in" but she didn't understand, causing us to hastily get the dog back in the house. Other issues involving the contract to repair the house were ignored and just painted over what we paid for repairing. My wife tried reaching out to see why this had happened, but we really never got an answer. Parts of the house need another coat of paint, and as far as we know no one ever came to inspect completion and all pictures we take won't show the areas that needed extra work. The last thing I will say and what bothers me the most, we instructed days we would be out of town and didn't want anyone over for any reason. While on vacation are ring camera was going nuts and someone was walking around cleaning up. We had so many issues with Legacy my wife did try reaching out personally, but she never got a clear resolution. Talking to my wife about what we have as a finished product is very disappointing to her. She is the most reasonable person I know and is hoping to just get the paint used so we could just finish ourselves and move on.
