Byron was great to work with from first coming out for the estimate to getting the job done in a timely fashion and with the utmost attention to detail. Our house looks beautiful and it's great to know that it has a top-quality paint job that will protect it from the weather and look fantastic for many years to come. He paid attention to each detail and issue that came up. He went above and beyond in getting everything correctly fixed. He discovered some issues with our gutters and downspouts that were causing water damage to some of our siding and trim. He showed us how to improve these problematic drainage issues, suggested solutions, and made repairs to both the siding and trim and to the downspouts to keep the damage from continuing. I'm looking forward to having them back for interior painting after we are able to complete some extensive renovations in the near future. I can't say enough good things about their skill, craftsmanship, and work ethic. I would absolutely recommend Byron's company for all of your painting needs.

I learned a lot more than when only interviewing one or two companies!! These people were not only kind, they were patient with all my questions and concerns when in person or email, etc. Shawn, Jennifer and David couldn't have been more professional yet also so kind that I felt as though they were friends coming to paint my house. Painting outdoors shows colors in different ways than indoors!! So selecting the right color was more difficult than expected. Another company almost cost TWICE as much but they offered more services than I needed, most of which was to make their company run easier for them, not the customers. Arclight prefers that everyone in their company is involved with more than one position to avoid the need for a big office or additional employees - they work very well as a team. This keeps the communication consistent as well as keeping the cost to the customers at an excellent value. They really care about the customers and have pride in their work. Choosing a color is not one of the things "included" regarding color advice, not in the way the more expensive company did, but more due to experience, they'll advise you about what looks best regarding the subtle differences in colors you want but once completed might not be what you thought it would be. I wanted my house to sort of look like the color of the lake nearby, not clash or match the neighbors, yet be distinctive without being too bold. Something grayish blue but I was led to a bluish gray which was PERFECT!!! I picked the colors, but Shawn gave much needed advice to have the right hue and saturation especially when it's outside!! This company is the ONLY one I'd recommend and the ONLY one I'll return to as needed. VERY professional yet VERY patient and KIND too. Nothing but good feelings about the company and the individuals.

Every corner, edge, and surface was treated with care. The finish work on our cabinetry in particular is flawless. I hired this company for what should've been a straightforward project: kitchen trim, a subway tile…read morebacksplash, and some drywall. I explained everything clearly -- multiple times in person and over text -- and even emphasized "subway tile" at least ten times. But from the start, things felt disorganized. They no-showed more than once, without any call or warning. My roommate and I both had to take time off work -- using vacation hours -- just to be home for them. Each time, we were left waiting in silence. One visit was delayed due to a car accident, which I completely understand -- but even then, I had to text hours later just to find out what happened. They didn't reach out on their own. Communication was a constant struggle. Texts and calls would go unanswered unless it was about their issue or schedule. When I needed answers -- even simple confirmations -- I was met with radio silence. I was also left to buy far more materials than we agreed upon -- not just the backsplash, but nearly everything. It became clear there was no planning on their end. Then came the breaking point: while on-site, one of the workers accidentally turned on my stove and walked away. My roommate, who was supervising, caught it just in time -- after the kitchen had already filled with smoke. That could've turned into a real disaster. Despite all of this -- the no-shows, the poor communication, the extra costs, the fire risk -- they refused to refund the deposit. According to them, too much work had been done. But in reality, only minor prep had even started. I have all the messages, call logs, and receipts to back this up. What I experienced was disorganization, carelessness, and a complete lack of accountability. I can't recommend this company to anyone. If you value your home, your time, or your safety, find someone else.

I am seeing a ton of positive things said about this company and that's great, however my…read moreexperience with Legacy Painting have not gone very well and after almost 2 months reflecting on this, I'm ready to share my thoughts. For starters we were looking to have our house painted. We had 3 estimates and based on professionalism and price, Legacy was the clear winner. 2 other positive things I'll say is the guy that wrote up the contract including repairs to the house and the gentleman who pressure washed the house were also good. This is where things get negative. The painters are Spanish and my wife and I are English and all communication was never very clear. There were days they waved goodbye and I replied "all done for the day" and they reply yes. But a few hours later they show up and go back to work. Normally this wouldn't be a big deal, but we have a dog that's not so stranger friendly and they opened the back gate why our dog was in the backyard. My wife tried letting the woman know "please don't come in" but she didn't understand, causing us to hastily get the dog back in the house. Other issues involving the contract to repair the house were ignored and just painted over what we paid for repairing. My wife tried reaching out to see why this had happened, but we really never got an answer. Parts of the house need another coat of paint, and as far as we know no one ever came to inspect completion and all pictures we take won't show the areas that needed extra work. The last thing I will say and what bothers me the most, we instructed days we would be out of town and didn't want anyone over for any reason. While on vacation are ring camera was going nuts and someone was walking around cleaning up. We had so many issues with Legacy my wife did try reaching out personally, but she never got a clear resolution. Talking to my wife about what we have as a finished product is very disappointing to her. She is the most reasonable person I know and is hoping to just get the paint used so we could just finish ourselves and move on.
